Don't let the costumes fool you. These guys are talented.
@@spadams999 You're right, but the costumes are disturbing. It's childish, lire more of their lyrics(apart Detroit Rock City).
KISS has and ALWAYS will be my #1 favorite band in the whole world! I'm 56 years old and have been a fan since 1976. Keep up with the KISS reactions!!
Definitely want to explore more! Thanks for watching.
Kiss of 70's are amazing🤘
Saw these guys back in the 80s One of the best concerts that I have been to. Just insane. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
That must have been quite the experience! Awesome!
From the start Paul, Gene and Peter sang lead vocals. Ace (lead guitar) had his lead vocal debut in 1977 with the song "Shock me".
Their first 6 albums plus the two live ones are great. Was a fan at that time.
I went to over 20 KISS shows . All in Atlanta Georgia. ⚡⚡
Awesome! 🔥
All of them wrote songs and in the beginning Paul, Gene, and Peter sang lead vocals. Ace debuted on lead vocals in 1977 with the song Shock Me from the Love Gun album. Some real classics.
I Still Love You from the Unplugged concert is just amazing if you want to hear one of Paul's best performances.
Love Gun; Unholy; God Of Thunder; Let Me Go, Rock and Roll; Rock Bottom; C'mon and Love Me; Detroit Rock City; I Want You; Hard Luck Woman; Makin Love; Rocket Ride; Creatures Of The Night; Rock And Roll Hell; War Machine; Exciter; King Of The Mountain; Who Wants To Be Lonely; Tears Are Falling; Reason To Live; Forever; Hide Your Heart; A World Without Heros; Childhood's End; I Will Be There; Jungle; It Never Goes Away; Psycho Circus; Into The Void; Freak; Long Way Down; Right Here, Right Now. I mean, there's so much good material to choose from
Greatest Show on Earth ⚡⚡
This was how they closed out their shows before Rock And Roll All NIte. Kiss never gets enough credit for combining musicianship with showmanship. You were spot-on in what the song's about. They wrote some of their early songs about what they saw growing up in New York City. Strutter's another one. If you like "Catman" Peter Criss' singing, you should check out Hard Luck Woman where he sounds like Rod Stewart or Beth where he plays piano. Space Ace Frehley didn't sing lead vocals until Shock Me, a song he wrote after he was electrocuted on stage. Hope you continue to check out the Kiss catalogue. They're all Kiss Klassics!
One of my favourite Peter Criss sung numbers is "Strange Ways".
@@TerryGramlick Peter never played the piano, on Beth or any other song.
Not sure where you got your info.
@@willhorting5317 Watch the 1976 Paul Lynde Halloween Special.
He may have pretended to play just like the band lip synched on the show, but he was sitting at the piano.
@@TerryGramlick yes, I know about the Paul Lynde Halloween Special. Watched it as it originally aired, and have been a diehard KISS fan ever since.
And yes, he was miming playing the piano. He was singing to an instrumental backing track, just like he did whenever Beth was performed in concert.
a real killers tnks from brazil
Kiss is great.
KISS WERE MY FIRST FAVOURITE BAND WHEN I WAS A MERE 6TH GRADER! ALSO MY VERY FIRST LIVE CONCERT-"DYNASTY TOUR"! THIS SONG IS ONE OF THE BEST ROCK N' ROLL SONGS EVER MADE! BRILLIANT! ^..^
KISS were formidable, in terms of the show and visual theatrics, plus they were a solid rock band. And, as you noted, they could all sing, and did, though Paul, for the most part, and Gene, were the primary vocalists. The songs and lyrics aren't complicated, but the message and delivery was powerful. They were masters at this craft for a few years, then they magic started to fade as they fell apart, then they re-emerged for a while with new incarnations, to eventually become victims of their own banality and persistent stubbornness of no longer evolving. In any case, there are some great songs in their catalog.
Funny enough, another of their early classic songs, which they also performed on this special is actually called "Deuce" ;-)
Well, that one will go on the list 😄
Welcome to the the hottest band in the world.......... KISS 😝 I've been a kissfreak since I was 10 I saw them the first time August 16th 1977 in Oakland CA @the cow palace the same day Elvis Presley died ✌️
Awesome you saw them live.
This song is great and incredible performance! A lot of energy.
Hottest band in the world 50 years ago.
Yeah it's 💋💋💋💋💋
My ALL TIME FAV KISS SONG!!!! singin by Peter, by Eric Carr or Eric Singer....IS THE BEST!!!
They have a song called Deuce also- if you want to see a drummer sing check out Journey with Dean Castranovo on drums and singing like Steve Perry- amazing.
@@normbittner3762 Deuce ma chanson préférée 🤸♀️
The guy eating the stand @ 10:14. OUCH! Great reaction. :)
Ouch indeed! :) Thanks for watching!
Gene "God of Thunder".😊
Ace " New York Groove"..😊
Peter "Beth"😊........
Thanks for sharing these!
Yes sir. You’re talking about Simmons reality show “family jewels”
Yes! That was it. Thanks for reminding me.
Live KISS is ALWAYS better than studio. Specially the first 3 albums
This was from their debut
Hard rock groups back then were sometimes known to destroy their instruments, the most famous being Jimi Hendrix dousing lighter fluid on his guitar and setting it on fire.
Middle school in early 70's friend bought kiss 1st album into music class our teacher refused to play it which caused pandemonium in class the 70's
from the old skool 👏🏻
Watch the beginning of the song deuce from the same midnight special and you will see what you were talking about regarding danger with their high heels at the beginning of the song when Gene almost breaks his ankle
Thanks for the recommendation!
Brother, you have something to discover about the 70s. It was almost table for the “baddest” bands to break shit, and lots of it!
KISS are one of the greats...check out the official video for Unholy for the unmasked era of KISS.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Ironically you mention a show called the Deuce. Kiss has a song called Deuce. Great tune!
Now i will need to hear it! 😄
Peter Criss should of sang lead on more songs
Gotta react to deuce next from the midnight special. Early kiss is great.
Yes, and watch for Gene's right ankle right at the start of the clip. Almost a disaster!!!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Let's just say....well....they were great when I was about 15 years old.
Detroit Rock City!
J'adore ces bottes d'Ace dire qu'il était si maigre a cette époque.
This type of music were never played in our house. First heard a few songs by them 1981. Yes, the boyfriend introduced me. But don't really listen to their music. Still hood though. Greetings from South Africa
They definitely have been around for a while. Thanks for watching. Greetings from Belgium.
Seen them from 75 through first reunion tour, Rock
On Brother your doing well try listening to uncle Eliza by
Black Oak Arkansas good story tellers
Awesome!
Thanks for the recommendations.
Songs about the OTHER Black Diamond…🔻
God of Thunder from their Destroyer album. Gene sings lead like a demon from hell.
This was in a way the birth of KISS...
The coverband that called it quits the other year just brought a GREAT legacy home - Gene and Paul TRIED, Ace (and Bruce & Eric) and Pete kept the KISS Legacy Alive...
Love from Sweden 💖
It was more amazing 50 years ago than it is now.
Just be quiet.
Sure thing, mom!
Saeed, I continued watching this video but I turned the sound off. I think this song sucks. I think for you to get the credit for people watching, they have to watch the full video. So I will be here til the end of it.
Thanks for the support!
I understand, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
