Best song from this band…..but sound quality is poor. They always play this tune at their shows and it always rocks! Right along with God of Thunder, Love Gun and 100,000 Years!

Kiss was selling out stadiums with little to no radio play which was basically the only way to be heard back in the 70’s . So most of their success was pretty much word of mouth and great tunes!
Back in the '70s "stadium rock" era, most everyone in the crowd was enjoying their favorite mind altering substance. You could smoke in the venues and even, when we saw them, bring in your own wine pouch to drink from. During "Black Diamond" all the lights went down at the end.....and then those giant strobes flashed into your skull over and over. It was an experience that the kids of today will never enjoy!
These on stage gigs are the most wildest thing to see and live. Peter Criss was a soulman and honest drummer, fit for all that massive sound of a line up of Marshalls amps, Gibson guitars at their top. The cat man is responsible to put the Pearl Drum company at the rock world wide arena, for ever, and still she is there. When vynil records were the trend, Alive!, their very first live recording, won it self, 3 platinum status in the industry within a whole year, 1975-1976. A world wide unique fans following this guys in 5 continents, called "The Kiss Army".
Kiss had one of the most elaborate stage shows, the drum platform was on a lift and would raise 10 feet above the stage, there were hydraulic arms the guitar players would rise into the air
They all sang. KISS and Alice Cooper invented Rock and Roll as a show, visuals, lights, costumes, props. What sustained KISS was the tunes. MY 1st rock concert after Elvis? KISS. Changed my life.
Peter criss started off actually singing most of their songs in the very beginning. I think Paul Stanley had trouble playing guitar and singing at the same time originally. I’m not completely sure about that but I remember my dad saying something about that but can’t quite remember exactly what he told me.
This was a really good reaction video to my favorite band playing my favorite KISS tune. I really like how you gave recognition to Peter's abilities. I myself am a Drummer who does lead and backing vocals, thanks to the influence of Eric Carr and Peter Criss. KISS was more than just make up, hair and costumes indeed. Great video...thanks for posting.
KISS was massive in the 70's and 80's! People used to line up to get their albums on the dates they were released, and going to a live KISS show was a big event, given their exciting, electric stage show! They influenced countless teens to pick up a guitar and play. Heavy metal would not be around today if not for 'hard rock' bands like KISS, Aerosmith, Mountain, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin existing...
This live footage is from Detroit 1976. KISS played 3 sold out nights in front of 36000 people in total at the 25., 26 and 27. of January. All 3 shows were multicam recorded by the film crew of the Cobo Hall. The energy is just incredible! Love it.
Kiss was my first concert, 1978. I was 12 years old and have been to hundreds of metal shows since then. Kiss was a great first live show for me. And this is my favorite kiss song. Great reaction, happy New Year to you all
For my my favorite albums were their first 4, and this song was on the radio here in Chicago, and it is one I remember rocking out to loud as the radio would crank.
This is their most spectacular show closer ever. Greg - thank you - you chose the best version. This was filmed at Cobo Hall, in Detroit, in 1975 for the Alive LP. It is truly epic not only hearing but finally seeing it. Terrific stuff. Come on Susie. You have been a dynamite audience and you deserve to give yourself a round of applause.. let's go..oh yeah.. so let's Rock N Roll All Night and Party every day. You haven't heard that before? They had a huge following in the 70's I was in the "KISS Army". You would get posters, stickers, trading cards, sew-on patches and a magazine all through the mail. They really had a nose for marketing.
Kiss were incredibly influential! They were perhaps the first true Glam Metal band. Their sound and more importantly their live image is something that was originally thought of as a gimmick but soon became a huge trend with the LA bands in the 1980s, most notably Motley Crue and Poison. People don't like to call Kiss Metal but they were. They were a Metal band that weren't afraid to say "Ooh".
Kiss were the prototype for the whole hair metal scene of the 80s and I mean that as a compliment. They were one of Rock's most influential bands ever.
Kiss are not considered Metal by many but without their influence Metal would be much different than as we've known it to be. The Black Metal bands, with their painted faces look like Gene Simmons children.
Hell yes! More of this 70s KISS! Yeah audio/video wise it's nowhere near today's standards but give me THIS any day of the week! Youth, energy, and of course what gets overlooked waaaay too much, their SONGS! Thanks for the reaction.
The reason this was their best song 🎵, is it shows how solid they were as musicians!!! Peter's drumming and obviously vocals, and Ace guitar 🎸 playing and solo and Paul's intro, and Gene solid bass playing!!!!
There’s a two album set, “Kiss Alive,” recorded in Cobo Hall, Detroit. Well, it’s two albums on vinyl. All 4 of them sing at least 1 song each show. That is partially why some ppl have a hard time recognizing them without seeing them. My brother, who was 7 years older than me, joined us both in the KISS army when I was just 5 years old. I was born about 2 months before their first studio album in 1973. They are still playing almost 50 years later. Great reaction to my favorite band of all time.

Nice one- that is the KISS I grew up with, even my very first Vinyl LP was Kisses Alive II. In MY opinion they were much more into Rock'n'Roll in the 70ies. Had even the luck to see them in Dortmund in 1980 (the supporting band was a new and unknown band called Iron Maiden!!!) So that was hell of a concert! Greets from Germany as always and stay safe!

I still love you acoustic is probably Paul's best vocal, Deuce is just killer. And after watching you for so long I think Unholy would be right up your street. Plus last night's concert was awesome.
