    This was the BEST update, but i also noticed they deleted a lot of their built in materials
    which kinda sucked

      Yeah, I think they removed some of the older materials that were not good quality. The goal was to replace them with newer and better-quality content. Let me know if you feel a material that is needed is missing and I can talk to the team.

      @@wes.mcdermott alll the old leather ones please!! as someone who makes 3d bags and other leather items i find its so much harder, even though the new ones are good there isnt an alternative for all of the old ones

    is that was skin displacement? the topology must be not low to make this good detail or it is?

      It is just using the normal map data for the skin. I am not using displacement in this case.

    Tried to look for material and tool settings to get the same kind of result on my project, but couldn't find anything that would match to this. Any help would be appreciated.

      Are you looking for the Paint on Path tool or how to create the material effect that I show in this video? I used anchor points to link data between layer masks. I will look at creating a tutorial for this.

    I think using curves is cool, but is there a way to make it work better than manual wrapping?

      Currently it is a manual process of plotting points, but we will have more functionality in the future.

    How did you add the second shape?

      For the 2nd shape, I am referencing an anchor point of the lines drawn on the face and then I use mask outline filter to create the beveled edge on another layer with height set to a positive value.

    I did this with metahuman but it came like paint made in metahuman face.. what to do for making realistic cybernetic design in metahuman.. please make video on this... Bro Please reply

      Thanks! I will take a look at a video for that. I am using the path tool in Painter along with anchor points to drive some masking on layers. It's a compound effect but once it is setup, you just need to create the mask.

    How did u created a new path just right after the first one, to me it just drag the first one

      To create a new Paint Path you hit the Enter Key. This will allow you to create a new path and you will see the new Path layer listed in the top left corner of the Paint Path Menu in the viewport.

      Yeah, this feature was requested back in the Substance Painter beta. We are pretty late to the party : )

      Yes! Absolutely. We have a brush tool called Top Stitch specifically for clothing.

    Would this work with a sequin trim texture?

      To get the best affect, I think it would need to be a generator created in Substance Designer that is then applied to the Paint Along Path tool in Painter. You would need this to get the overlaps and variation.
