    *CORRECTION*
At 2:15 when you are cutting the size for your width pieces, you HAVE to add an inch on to what you want your final width to be because when you create the tongues in the width boards you will loose about an inch or so when they are placed into the groves!
So for an 18" width door, you would still take off 5" to compensate for the width of the lengths but then you would NEED to add an inch to compensate for the tongues you will be cutting!
So the width pieces should be cut at 14 inches, not 13.
    Hope this helped you out!

I enjoyed your video, but remember this: we teach best by setting a good example. So, in future videos, I'd like to see you wearing eye protection when using power tools.

I do may best to remember but sometimes I forget because of all the movements of cameras and materials but you’re right, Eye and Ear protection are always a good precautionary step!

Ya know... You started this stating that your finished cabinet doors needed to be a certain width. Then you subtracted your 5" from that and came up with a #. Problem is you then recessed via tongue and groove the styles of the door into the rails making your door more narrow than what you stated. Just be careful anyone using this method, to account for the tongue and groove used to connect the door frame together so your finished width and length are what you need

You are absolutely correct! Thank you for catching this! I will make sure to add a comment above to help explain this to others in the future!

Would this style work for a tall cabinet with a 72" door? Just wandering if it would be flimsy!

That’s a great question! The doors I made for my kitchen pantry were 78” tall and all I did was add a little thicker panel and brad nailed all the corners of the rails and styles (the frame). Holds up great!
