    Hi, Can you tell me the base source of your POA oils, vegetables or animal? An experiment with liquidise various vegetables oils versus animal fats in a 4 stroke combustion engine gave us surprising results in compression, heat and cylinder wear. The animals fats were superior in ever function and we are at a loss to explain the chemical properties of animals fats over vegetables ones except the PUFA polyunsaturated fatty acids are highest in animal sources. Can you comment on the pure esters oils chemistry in detail or link a source that elaborates on the chemistry of the ester oils. Thanks for your time.

      Thanks for watching and great question, the short answer is no. We have been very focused on the performance market for our products and have not focused on OEM specifications until now. Hopefully we will have something in your market very soon.

      Thanks for watching! Being semi-synthetic means it is not a true PAO, the Ester is added in this case to make it compatible with motorcycle wet clutches.

    Is Mobil 1 synthetic oil better than Kirkland Costo synthetic oil?????

    • @KCKLubricants
      @KCKLubricants  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to ask such a great question. We do a lot of product testing, analysis and load testing of many of the oils on the market, however we have not allocated the resources to testing the Kirkland Cosco oil product you have mentioned in your question. Not having done any specific testing on the mentioned oil makes it impossible for us to compare the two synthetic oil products in your question but I'm sure you could sample both of the products and send them to a quality testing lab to get your own test results or use both the products in your vehicle to see if you notice any difference during the oils life span. This may not apply to the Kirkland Cosco synthetic oil but, what we have found consistent in our testing to date is that the price is a pretty good indicator of the value of the product.

    Do pao oils shrink seals?

    • @KCKLubricants
      @KCKLubricants  3 месяца назад

      Great question! Ok, here is the short answer. NO. The oil itself doesn't cause the seal to shrink as such. Heat and age will cause the seal to shrink BUT we use an additive in all of our oil products to prevent the seal from becoming damaged by constant heat, etc. Some of the cheaper oils on the market do not contain this additive, causing seals to leak shortly after switching oil brands.

    Is it a problem if a hydrocracked oil(mobil 1 0w40) is mixed with a Pao oil (meguin 0w40)in a petrol turbocharged engine?

  • @edogsx
    @edogsx 2 года назад

    The problem of PAO is that the apolarity of the molecules does not allow a good dissolution of the additives, for this reason it is mixed with ESTER.
    On the other hand, ESTER has the problem of hydrolyzing when it is subjected to heat and humidity.
