Turn on E stabilization standard when you want to walk with the camera with lenses 24mm or wider. It'll eliminate wobble completely. You can reduce contrast on the separate picture profiles. And you can completely customise the Q menu. Yes, the AF in 1080p 60 and 120p revert to contrast but this is the first camera from Panasonic with PDAF so it apparently doesn't work in line skipped modes. PDAF works in 1080p 60 when you crop in to APSC, as it is oversampled from 4k60.
Make sure you update the firmware on the camera if you haven't already. And everything is customizable and can be mapped to any button. Have fun creating 😎
This has been my current issue, i want to get the s5iix but every time i watch a review they have the same hesitations you shared. The fan boys will say “nah” but i say theres is something going on
I personally prefer to have better stabilization with everything higher than 24mm than the opposite. And you can still use EIS on the S5IIX to remove woobling at 24mm (but yes the IQ drop). Owning the A7IV, S5II, S5 and S1, what it bother me the most about the S5II is the rough detail rendering in video.
@@JaketheMotorhead Now even at -5 (or 0 in V-Log) there is still a very bad sharpening, I will make a video soon about the detail rendering of the S5, S5II, GH5, GH6 and G9II, the last Panasonic cameras have lost the unprocessed image I liked so much in the past.
Unless of course your goal is to film like a pro all day in hot weather. Then the fan in S5iix will keep you working, and the SOny will overheat and not allow you to keep working.
I think you are a Sony fanboy with some regret haha, just kidding 😋. The Q menu can be customised it takes a couple of minutes so just use whatever buttons you want there. If you are serious about video colour then you should be shooting in log, if not find a lut that works for you and load it into the camera so you ALWAYS get the colour you want, lumix colours are great and it doesnt have the plastic texture of Sony. A camera is a tool, you can achieve great results with both Sony and Lumix on that level, but you need to know your tool really well just switching brands because of internet hype wont improve your videos.
my guess is that the s5ii sensor is capped out when using the full width. So as long as you're using the full width, AF is capped out at 30p if you crop, the AF is capped out at 60p kind of a shame.
😂 menu systems is nice bro honestly you have been stucked with sony too much, after canon..lumix is the most straight forward menu systems N colour bro...i heard you the first person who says u dont like lumix colour 😂😂😂😂 S5iix is comparable to fx3
Of course lumix is better than son as it can do things sony cant. It does not overheat while filming all the time like sony does as well. Nor to mention how bad a a7 is in your hands. Sony has the worst ergonomics in business. Lumix got the best ibis on the planet.
I can't use a camera that might overheat. Lumix wins :)

@@PichBunly yes, I've added edits to my main comment.
Everything I said is by default I said we can customize
Any way thanks 🙏

Two weeks is way too short to explore any camera.
Go and work a little bit more with the system you will be surprised.
Maybe

Can you just turn down the sharpness so that it doesn't sharpen it in-camera? I can do that with my A7ii. Nice cams lol

Sorry but it IS better than Sony. 12800 iso is too high nd the NR is not able to be turned off.

For your problem of image too contrasty with crushed blacks, you can adjust the master pedestal.
Yes correct i only said it’s default color

I wish I am Sony fan but I am not just normal users

The quick menu is completely customizable ! ( Take 10 minutes to customize the camera and everything will be fine !)

I like the look of lumix but the feeling in the hand Sony better for me at least
