@earthquakes.cyclones.typhoons.floods are KARMA Philippines is not poor... The government is corrupt and also where our country is located... Philippines is literally the first one to get hit by typhoons or its like a shield for the main land south east asia...we are also in the ring of fire and we have alot of active volcanoes... Also the Philippine plate is already near another plate and now earthquakes are really often.

Climate Change aka Global warming, global cooling are created beliefs
through the use of mind manipulation, repetition and the use of formalism and professional opinion. In fact Climate Change is the intentional use of weather & climate engineering.

This is so tragic and sad, things like this break my heart. No, I am not Filipino, and I am not from the Philippines, but there are families out there, orphaned children, and helpless elderly in that country right now that need help, and I read the comments around here, and some of these guys make me sick. Show some RESPECT AND SYMPATHY. These people need help. I've already began donating whatever I can, it's not much, but I hope my donation will help feed a starving child there, or put clothes on someone's back. God bless the Philippines. Strong people, stronger hearts.

I donated through the Catholic Charities Relief Fun ... you can do the same, or Red Cross, Salvation Army , etc.

Thank you guys so much. I'm a Filipino, and only 17 years old college student so donating to our university (that will be sent to the victims) is the only way I can help. So Knowing that the foreign countries are helping us bring tears in my eyes and makes my heart melt for all the support we are getting. I just wanted you to know that we are thankful and if I could all hug you personally, I would. Bless your beautiful hearts.

When a person is genuinely moved to speak and to call upon his brothers and sisters in God to work together in love and service for all, it can be heard in his voice. Mr. Saño speaks with emphases and cadence similar to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who most certainly is, in Spirit, standing at this gentleman's side.

Philippines is under National State of Calamity. They also suffered from a nefarious turmoils/war in Mindanao(NPA vs. the Phil. Government). A devastating Earthquake also killed hundreds of people in Bohol including Cebu just a month had passed. And now, a deadly superTyphoon which killed thousands of Filipinos.
We greatly thanked for those countries who shared their sympathy and agony to my fellow people. God bless you all..!

My heart bleeds, every single time the news flashes on our tv screen about this calamity. Every night I weep, I chose to weep so I couldn't weep no more for tomorrow. Everything's gone, I'm a Filipino and these calamities including the recent October 15 earthquake stripped away my dignity and pride or should I say ours just to survive. I guess, when everything's gone, all we have is faith. I would like to thank all the countries who lend their hands. All those who prayed for us. In times like this, you are our only hope. Thank you so much.

this is not only for the Philippines... building awareness how powerful this typhoon is is actually the issue... of course all of us should be ready. anyway, what the Philippines need the most right now is the support for the people who are victims of this calamity. as a fellow Filipino, it is very heartbreaking to see all the damages that our fellow countrymen experienced. My birthday is in two days but I can't even imagine myself celebrating it happily. the same in putting Christmas decorations in our house. I'm just grateful that people are helping each other, many countries send their help, and everyone is praying for the victims. All we need to do is be ready, we can't do anything if it's a natural calamity but being prepared can help at least. I hope this situation can be an eye opener for everyone to see that Climate change is happening... RIGHT NOW...
Stay strong Philippines! and also to Vietnam and some parts of China... God bless everyone...

this is very powerful and i hope this reaches the screens of many filipinos. powerful words like this also needs to be addressed directly to the filipinos. we (and that includes me) filipinos lack sense of responsibility and have huge tendencies to point the fault except ourselves. we filipinos always blame the government, the authorities, the localities but we have not thought that the single candy wrapper we threw on the street the other day or the trash we failed to segregate properly or the television we left turned on the whole night have made this climate change even worse. this climate change WILL happen with or without us. but with loose sense of responsibility, the effects of such changes will increase tenfold. god bless the whole world.

What is true regardless of politics or opinion on climate change, is that we are not prepared for the storms that we are facing today. It dose not matter if you are in New York City or on a small island in the pacific. If you can't get power to chill food and medicine or have the ability to pump and filer water a community of any size can;t survive. Sustainable living solutions must incorporate sustainable disaster relief efforts. Solar, Wind, biofuels are much more sustainable and are far easier install maintain and produce on a large or small scales. The response to this disaster will require massive amounts of fuel to address Time is the most critical factor in saving lives. I hope the sustainable power industry see this as a way to finally convince those who don't believe in climate change that their opinions are not relevant to the situation or market demands for sustainable energy.

I am deeply moved by Yeb Sano's speech (PH representative to the UN Convention on Climate Change) delivered at Warsaw. May what this country experienced from its recent circumstances, the people's miseries brought about by the wrath of typhoon Yolanda and Yeb Sano's words penetrate the conscience (through and through) of President NoyNoy Aquino and the people pushing for the use of coal-fired power plant in Subic and elsewhere.

One thing that I love my country men for is we never shy away when we talk about God openly. We hold fast to our faith and believe in the Kindness and Mercy of this Great Being, we don't tell people who believes in God as Uneducated, Ignorant, or a Fool. Yet why do the Vietnamese seem to have been spared by Yolanda's wrath, if not there could be something wrong with how we deal with God, honestly? Perhaps the root cause could be we are given the laws yet we still choose to be blind in how we worship?

You notice how that guy with the bald head at the head table or panel wasn't even listening? He is shuffling papers around, organizing papers everything but listening to that man speaking out from his heart? The guy wasnt even looking at him. Cant get more disrespectful than that. How sad

I strongly encourage people to watch this moving statement. This is the real tangible experience of climate change made real. This shows the emotional basis that we don't always see about why so many people are working so hard to change our direction away from increasing disasters. We can make turn toward greater sanity. No matter how hard it is now, it will only be more difficult and painful later.

My respect to this guy who had the courage to go to this summit and speak in behalf of the country when his own brother is suffering in Tacloban. My heart and prayers goes out to those affected by the typhoon and I hope that all the efforts that people are doing here in Manila and around the world will reach them soon.

What a great, powerful and sincere speech sir!
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. We cant wait another typhoon until we take action. To those people who helped us in a situations like this, we will be forever thankful. As a filipino, we cant expect that much from our corrupt government. We live horrible everyday. Crimes are growing so fast and police arent trustworthy. Disaster preparedness and Response is very LOW. I bet, if this magnitude 9+ earthquake hit the country, we're doomed. Anyway, we still praise the Lord Jesus Christ and only to Him we look up to. We need a miracle. Filipinos should be one.
