Based on Eben Upton's most recent interview, you should probably hold off on that excitement until 2024. No rpi 5 until they catch up on supply/production issues - that should last thru 2023. 😞

After you've pressed Esc on boot, go to RAM configuration and allow the pi to have access to more than the 3GB ram it defaults to for some reason. WoR will thank you!!!
I didn’t need that step Windows is reporting 8GB and 2147.

I was never able to get the overclocking bit to work with WoR, for some reason. 🤷♂️

@leepspvideo Could this Windows 11 installation work similarly to those installs in which people connect the Raspberry Pi through USB-C to an iPad or Macbook then RDP or VNC onto it for a Remote Desktop? (sort of like a ethernet over USB-C connection)

I have a pi 3b can I use this method to install windows? I have spent the last 4 days trying to install windows and git hub way didn’t work. I did the install and it never wanted to boot after changing the sd card. I have tried other ways and it just don’t work
I keep getting an error which says: "PE-based installer integrity check failed" do you know how to fix it?
So I've just installed Windows 11 on a RPi4, and have a few pros and cons.
Pros: The WoR installer is very impressive as it now requires no technical knowledge to install Windows on a RPi4
That it actually works on such a low powered SBC
Cons: You have to plug your Ethernet card in before the first reboot, if you try when promped for network it doesn't work.
The whole Windows setup process!
After having setup multiple Linux systems in minutes the effort required to get Windows working is a real pain. NOTE this has nothing to do with the WoR Project (who have been amazingg) but all down to Microsoft.

And also, changing the firmware (looks like TianoCore EDK II since I used it on QEMU) will only affect RPI when there is an sd card or it will affect forever?

I've got Win10 dual booting on an i5 2.5ghz ThinkPad T430 with Manjaro. It's not fun, much slower than Manjaro on the same platform. I'm amazed it runs at all on the Pi.
Slow because you have not debloated Windows.

Seguí los pasos, y me salía que la instalación del script se había completado, me salía el cartel indicando lo que debía hacer
Quité la SD con PI OS e introduje en la que copié Windows 10 u 11 (SD clase 10 32GB) y la raspberry se me queda en negra la pantalla, y el bombillo rojo (cosa que pasa cuando no tiene algún sistema operativo la SD)

I remember years ago there were themes for Linux like "windows 7" or "macos lion" - what is the reason to run the linux with windows theme? same here: what is the reason to have such low performance device that is quite ok with linux and run the windows on it? what for? raspberry pi is made for a reason - for sure windows is NOT a reason it was designed for. and I am not even mentioning the shitty performance of windows on such low power device...
Some people want Windows to run a particular program or update a device that only works with Windows. Wine is an option in Linux but still doesn’t work with everything. Also Windows has great support for Audio and video streaming apps. It’s great to have choices
Because I like weird computers but can't afford a 2600.00$ high performance Windows ARM laptop to play with 🗺

Switch on the Pi with just the Windows OS present. You can just leave it eventually it should start installing. The first boot takes a while just leave it running 15-30 minutes
So no wifi yet. How about bluetooth?

Getting Wi-Fi working is probably the biggest bug to fix for the WoR project.

Internal or external wifi adapters do not work
There is a specific dongle that is compatible with WoR however finding it might be hard

My point was that it’s not useless for everyone, some people just need to run some windows programs to access software they otherwise can’t. Don’t buy a Raspberry Pi to run Windows. Windows on Arm still isn’t well supported. Android and Linux run much better on a Pi. Not sure why you want me to prove you wrong? Use technology the way you want. @@deraid712
@@leepspvideo its cheaper to buy cheap miniPC with Intel Atom or Celeron than raspberry pi for such things intel/amd miniPC would have more performance in Windows for using with native x86-64 apps. While Raspberry Pi is good for Smart Home or with Raspberry Pi OS with basic linux apps. For example with GPU 3d driver enabled (V4C) on Raspberry Pi OS in chromium I can run 1080p videos full screen with 1% frame loss which is great result. So my point is that Raspberry Pi 4 is no good for Windows 11 for Arm cpus without gpu drivers and there are no gpu drivers yet and there won't be any.

Alot of great apps are only available on Windows. And some websites check to see if you are running Windows or Apple OS, and if not, the website reject your connection.
People want it because it isn't Google
