Nothing like being back at home and your home waters!
Yep the tropical waters are a lot different than cold California coast. Looks like plenty of action though. I would love to catch a Halibut from a kayak. Awesome content. 🤙
Nice catches the first day. Glad to see they are still out there. Heading that way later this week. Thanks for the video!
Never caught a video this early! Hope you're doing well mate!
Thanks! You too!
Halibut love the Alabama rig
Awesome job bro. Those big string rays always make tangles.
"look at this guy..." 🤣🤣🤣 We gotta get your followers up so you can have multiple revenue streams. You deserve it! Love how down to earth you and your videos are.
I hate those tangled messes and retying so I tie up some backup rigs and wrap them around a pool noodle to take along. Makes switching out quick and easy.
You may want to let SF Bay is single rod only for all species. That extends out to Pt Bonita. Multiple rod for halibut beyond that.
Well you want to make money, do guided trips, I would pay you well for your skill. Havent grew the balls to go ocean yet.
❤way to be that smarmy internet feminine hygiene product
Welcome back home!
Commercial fishing shark and swords out of S.D. in the 80's you sold all those rays on the sly to the fish house who turned them into scallops.
Ready to see a steelhead video!!
It’s that time of year..almost.
I still don’t know why your subs are so low? I’ve been sub to your channel for years now from watching you surf perch fishing to lingcod’s and now halibuts.. You deserve millions of subs.. Keep grinding brother!!!
Die Hard Fishing! I' d watched all you videos, love to buy one of the fish you caught. Big fan...
How often does your car get broken into while out fishing? Is that factored in?
Break ins in the bay are more centered on inner city streets. So breakins factor when fishing is usually nothing.
20 years fishing in and around the bay, never had a vehicle break in.
Adam, you need to include the cost of your commercial license in miscellaneous costs.
Honestly I wish you would host an online tournament like Jun but for Halibut on the beach….
Teams of 2 similar rules 🍻
maybe someday!
Yeah are you going to sell the fish
Nice video .. thanks for sharing keep it up
Hey Adam. I see u in this water all the time. Can a Pontoon boat be in this same water?
possible although probably not ideal
Sure love to go to fish with you. I could learn a lot.
Also, your videos are excellent
Great Video and just wondering what type of bait you used
It's in the video!
@@DieHardFishing thanks I found it out
Still a great day on the Bay.
Sea ya on the net one.
Shouldn’t you be factoring in what your hourly pay is? Also, maybe I missed it, but what are the licensing costs and related? Great vids! NM, you addressed it in the end 👍🏼
Welcome home and please let me know how I can order four or five halibut.
Where's a safe place to launch a boat around that area where a person wont get their truck smashed in, and a dock to tie up to? I'm not seeing many options outside of launching at Berkeley and running up there.
Cool rod sleeve!
I’m always curious. How do you transport your kayak?
Trying cane pole fishing for surf perch tomorrow. I will look like an idiot assuredly, but it will be le epic.
Didn't see you in southern Cali for lobster season opener. I guess you were still in Panama at the time. How many ounce sinker do you use and what speed were you going on your kayak? I can't seem to bounce my sinker. It's either too high or dragging on the bottom. Any response is appreciated.
What does it take for me to sell some of my catches? Mainly fish the sport boats in SoCal
As a "commercial" fisherman, are you subject to the 2 fish limit on CA halibut (Emergency order effective June 2023) and 1 fish limit on Pacific halibut?
Adam what would you say to someone concerned about eating a bottom dweller from the bay where water quality cant be very good?
I know people who have done it their whole life!
Solid work
How did you get started in commercial fishing, whom do you sell too? if you can say.
Could you do a pier fishing video
Who do you sell fish to and do you always have buyers?
Another great video. Wish you would have caught a few more to make more money.
Have you ever had any sort of motor issies with your minnkota?
That's cheaper than going sportfishing! Why the kayak registration? We don't have to do that here in SoCal.
I have a motored kayak and any vessel with a motor is required to be registered.
That was not a very good, itemized graphic of your costs including (2 days??) or HOURS of your time. But how do Ads $$ figure into your accounting??
Don't understand why more people don't keep and eat rays. The wings are comparable to some shellfish when cooked right.
The wings taste just like...Chicken
@waywardspirit7898 I don't eat em, had a really bad allergic reaction the last few times I tried. But, my family loves em so if I catch one I usually keep it.
Back when bay scallops were scarce for a while, some bay area restaurants discovered that the wings can be cut into circle shapes and when cooked like scallops made a very good substitute.
Wassup Adam just wondering what rods and reels do you use?
Hey were you on the jetty today?
I want to buy it
What motor is on your kayak.
How do you sell the fish? To shops and restaurants?
What kayak do you have?
What speed or number do u troll at???
What did your licensing cost ?
Cost of charging battery
Looks like arw
What boat ramp did you come out of?
Looked like Alameda rockwall
What's the price of commercial fishing license and commercial fishing vessel?
It's in my previous commercial fishing video, I have a thresher shark on the thumbnail.
i would buy those if you sell for me
I need help I wanna get a old town sportsman but I really want the 106 but I'm afraid it will to small should I get the 120 or the smaller one
It all depends on personal preference!
@@DieHardFishing so the 106 should do just fine in the ocean?
You might die no matter what boat you get. No fishing kayak is really made for the ocean. Basically they are all open top surf ski's (sit on tops). Not true kayaks which have closed decks. I paddle with a sea kayak club and no open sit on top boats are not permitted on any of our paddles. Don't mean to be rude, it's just that from a matter of experience I wouldn't be going out fishing on what we call shark biscuits. Buy the longest widest boat you can afford. Our boats are on average 19 foot long sea kayaks. Be safe, always take a VHF radio, decent PFD, EPIRB, and especially with sit on top kayaks sun screen as you can't get out of the weather. They are expensive, but Hobie Island Adventure trimarans are a good choice. Pretty stable plus sail power.
@ianrawlings2546 thanks for the input
When you fish put the weight in the floor
halibut a month, still going strong
Almost there!!!
Can you save on ice? Freeze ur own.
I've been considering getting my own ice machine.
Adam remember catch clean and cook equals more views and more subscribers!!! Why can't you do it??? Like I said, you can ask taku for recipes and buy his cook book that's coming out. What is wrong with you??? Why don't you even try??? I love you videos, but it would be fantastic to see you do the clean and cook part!!! 😮😊
dear gawd...enough with the catch clean & cook
Bloody rude comment. He was fishing to catch Halibut to sell. Not everyone wants to see another catch and cook video. Been done to death.
