I got a Ukulele a couple of years ago and never really got round to playing it much. I have just started again and I want to thank you for helping me to understand the beginners stuff and the more complex things. Keep doing what your doing it’s great 👍👍👍
Happy Easter to you John, and all your family! I am so happy with what you've taught me that I can pretty much play along with you as you're showing how to do it! I've been learning so many other songs and learning how to put melodies together. I couldn't have been able to figure it out without you! So thanks so much and I am eternally grateful for getting the chance to be able to actually play an instrument. It's opened a whole new world up to me. I'm impressing myself!! Never think you can't do it!
VemProFut has to do with the type of camera he’s using to record. In high light saturations like he has going on it merges all the frames of the strum to make a smooth warble
Hey! I just wanted to say I've been watching your videos for a few years now and your tutorials are super helpful! But also, your singing has improved a lot over the past couple years too ! Much love ❤
I heard that the Beatles wrote songs on ukulele because it was easy to harmonize with the four strings! I don’t know if that’s true, but I like to think so 😜
Kelsey Barnard Music it’s not true :( George was the only beatle that really played ukulele, Paul played and plays it occasionally, especially in the 70s, you can hear it in one of his post beatles songs called ram on, today he plays it live as a tribute to George but has never mentioned composing with it, he said he usually composes on guitar or piano
@@isaazevedo2506 george wasn't the only uke player John grew up playing ukulele along with guitar he was a huge george formby fan and took a LOT of inspiration from him hence the double meanings and crypticism within the lyrics of most of their songs
Barry Thorne never heard of that! Do you have any links to this information ? (No hate I’d just like to read more about that) But anyway, I said that george was the only one that “really” played it, y’know what I mean haha, he released songs playing it and was a well known fan of it, but I’m sure john knew how to play something on it too it’s a pretty “easy” and fun instrument to play!
Yes it is true that the strings are vibrating but they are going side to side in a wave formation because cameras basically scan things so it is constantly scanning up and down through the video and the strings vibrate too fast so instead of catching the vibrations it makes it look wavy
Dooood, you deserve WAYYYY not subs. I've been watching ur channel for so long and everything that I know how to play on uke has been from you videos! Thank you so much!!
Hey UkeTeacher, I love your videos! I was wondering if you had the time to learn crimson and clover by Tommy James and The Shondells. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Hi , I was just wondering why on your videos you say to strum one way but then when you actually play it seems like you add a strum here or there. For example on the last line of the first chorus you instruct to do the strum pattern once per chord but then on F you play it twice. could you be a bit more careful of that? Otherwise love the page, I'm a patron of your work in patreon!
I absolutely adore this song and this is such an amazing tutorial!!! My favorite one! I’ve got the strumming & chords down and i want to switch it up a bit! Does anyone have a finger picking pattern or tabs on this?! Let me know☺️
How are you playing the Bb chord? It looks as if you're not covering both the E and A strings on the first fret. Am I seeing that wrong? I still can't get it without barre'ing the first fret. :) Happy Easter!
is there an alternative to Bb? I freaking hate laying double fingers over the bottom string, feels like they need to be a foot long in order to arch high enough. :')
Wow! Cool chord progression, I have to learn it! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Could you use the notation technic from Cynthia Lin and others for the duration of a chord? It is very user-friendly, I find it very helpful.
Hey, great video as always! also a song i would like you to go over is "Could we please keep this short" by Tyto Grey, he has very unique songs that he plays with his uke :)
John -- Thanks for all the great lessons. I have been trying to find the music for uke for a hymn called Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal but can't find it anywhere. Please help.
Thank you very much for all the effort, you've helped me in alot of songs😍❤ Can you please do a tutorial on Isabella's lullaby from the promised neverland😅✌
Wtf the way the strings vibrate it's just so cool
it does that when the camera's shutterspeed matches the speed the strings are vibrating. its pretty cool

Your voice is getting really good!
Dude your frame rate is so great you can see the strings vibrate slowly!
I know, I probably need to sort that out actually. This 4K camera is insane!
Also thank you for all the effort you put into this tutorial. You are really a good egg!

You should do a tutorial for a song from the Sing to Me Instead album by Ben Platt, I think it’d be really cool! 😁
is there an alternative to Bb?
I freaking hate laying double fingers over the bottom string, feels like they need to be a foot long in order to arch high enough. :')
I hate Bb too so I use Gm instead. It doesn't sound exactly like Bb but it works pretty well everytime I play Yesterday :v
Same, I usually just avoid playing the first string altogether when i play Bb
It's easier, especially if you also play the guitar, if you just press the first frat as a whole with your index finger. It sounds the same.
Sven no same
IM SORRY IM LATE BUT THANK YOUUUU!!!
I would love it if you made a Dream On video
