I don't think baldur knew the name. He was looking for a giant, he assumed kratos was the giant he was seeking. Hence why he says "I thought you'd be bigger" we the audience think he was looking specifically for kratos but everything he says has to do with giants in that scene.

I think they nailed the character design for both Thor and Odin. Not only are they inventive takes, but they show off the characters’ personality, they make a statement. The stark difference between Thor and Odin makes them that much more imposing. You know who’s the brains and who’s the braun, but both are equally intimidating.
I don’t think Odin is intimidating, he looks like he would crumble if kratos laid a finger on him

@@CheeseAndCrackers_ but that’s the point. He’s not supposed to be physically intimidating bc his power lies is his knowledge. Like I said, Odin is the brains, Thor is the brawn. Their character designs fit their personalities and their roles in the story perfectly.

This game's design of Thor is 10 times better than anything I could have imagined.
As for Odin... I was hoping he would be a big guy too. Maybe some of the books I read as a kid gave me a different perspective of how he looked, like a sort of large Santa Claus but without the gut.
Thinking about it, what if Odin had a similar build and size as Kratos, but he came off as much more friendly and caring? Would have really worked into manipulating Atreus since he'd be building a relationship with Odin that he couldn't get out of Kratos.
He supposed to be actually. But in God of war, bad people are good and good people are bad so...

Tbh, I really prefer this slim Odin, because it really sells that he is primarily manipulator, not a fighter, but hides the fact he can actualyl kickass very well (which, in a way, is manipulative in its own right, so, yehay!!). In that regard, I consider him perfect.
I like skinny energetic old man odin. I feel like I should be sitting on a stump outside as he's carving a duck for me and telling stories about how he met grandma at the ol' box social.
Tbh I actually prefer ripped MCI Thor, if not solely because of modern conceptions that gods are meant to be ripped

I actually really like Thor’s design! He reminds me of the version in the comics “Valhalla” that I used to read as a kid. He was also a big guy with red hair.
I'm pretty sure in mythology he drank the ocean to the point the water level was visibly lower, so fat Thor is pretty accurate actually.

Odin being an old man never gave me any problems whatsoever. That’s how he’s usually portrayed in media-the wise and old warrior. He’s also kind of like Palpatine, concealing his true power with an elderly innocent facade

The 5th instalment is usually always well known as being shit but the GoW devs and voice acting has kept up as well as being amazing in story telling ALONG WITH the immaculate visuals.

It's nice to see you do another animation of God or War, I remember the first one you did and wow quite the improvement you've gotten really good. Though this is how Gow Of War could've been and how it ended especially if he took Odins offer of peace. I love how you made Kratos so buff compare to Thor where he's just very fat and of course Atreus being very small and thing I love it but I feel kinda bad for Thor him wanting to look like Marvel's Thor even though it's inaccurate to how he actually looks. Cute and sad animation but I enjoyed it and I'm really loving the game I love they did Thor and Odin especially Odin being kinda like a mob boss but they look great. Hope you've been playing the game aswell and having a great time unless you've already beaten it.

have you watch how strongman looks like? i think i am worried about how too much people give attention to 6 pack but when the deal is to carry as much as you can, a firm belly like the strongmans are the ones one need to really carry a lot of weight.I think thor is most in the "strongman" look like than kratos who are more like a bodybuilder body.

I admit i thought it was odd when they chose that design for Thor in the game, but when i saw him executed in game. I thought it was brilliant! He's a freaking badass! He reminds me of the roman gladiators of old! they looked like ogres!
