Thanks for making these videos. Both video parts for this project were really great for a first time basket weaver and even better that you weave left handed like me.

    What a great video!
I’m a basket maker but haven’t woven anything for a few years.
I love the look of the checkerboard pattern.
I used to teach basketmaking at 4H camps. Your instructions are excellent.
    Thanks
    🤗

Hello Mr. Gleason, thank you for an amazing tutorial! Quick question, where can I get me a pair of those cutting/crimping/poking tools that you use? I have not been able to find anything similar to that. Thank you!

Hi Bob! This is Jim S from Long Beach. You have really become a fantastic basket weaver. I'm enjoying watching your videos but wish you were nearby and offered in person lessons. Please post if you will be participating in a show and I would do my best to attend. It will be nice to see you and your work.

Wow! What a beautiful basket. Something I’ve always wanted to do but have not tried yet. Loved the video but one suggestion if I may? As a weaver of cloth, I am used to following all kinds of videos but had a hard time with this one due to the location of the camera in relation to your right hand. Possibly place the camera a little higher so we get more of a look at what you are describing. Otherwise, it was very understandable and well done. Thank you. I also look forward to seeing how you created that beautiful bottom piece.

I had not published the base weaving yet; It did not come out well so I need to record again. Should be out in a few days.

@@bobgleason7666 hi there I have a question that have not been able to find the answer to. I am new to basketry and am having trouble purchasing #3 reed. Was wonder if #5 reed is more difficult to work with or is it you just need to soak a little longer. Please help. Thanks

any reason not to offset each row, wouldn't the pattern look even more seamless, very nice basket and plan to try this in the near future
