Well, I have bought my willow as it is. But I know they are harvested by machine, then boiled for some time, before going through a machine that takes off the bark. And then sorted into different lengths.
Hello, I‘m so happy to see that you posted videos again! (Or am I wrong, that you are the one who had another channel, I think under the name „online basketry“?) Greetings, Sue
Thank you Sue :) Yes, you're right. I had another channel which I've deleted. But recently I felt that it's a shame my videos aren't published. I put a lot of work making them.
@@Basket_Case_1 I can’t tell you how much I learned from these videos when I started basket making. I think it is about 3 years ago that I startet with rattan baskets and your videos. A year later I changed to willow. About 6 months ago I wanted to come back and see the „braided border video“ and it was gone. Sure, there are many other videos in RUclips to teach this, and I managed to weave a braided border, but none of them is so detailed and so much information like yours. So I started searching for you in the internet, RUclips, instagram,… On Sunday one of the videos popped up in my RUclips feed! And I am so happy! I also learned a lot by looking at the pictures of your baskets on your website. They are gorgeous! Do you also have a new website? Best wishes, Sue
@@susannet7196 Happy to learn how much my work is appreciated. I've deleted my website, along with all of my social platforms. At the time, I just wanted to disappear...

ليتك تشرح كيف تم معالجة هذه العصي، واسم الشجرة وتنقلنا الاحساس بالطبيعة وانت تقطف هذه العصي أو العيدان وتعالجها للاستخدام❤

@@Basket_Case_1 Sorry to hear that. Sometimes life is mean to us. I wish you all the best for your future, Sue
62 year old Canadian man here. I am happy that you are here doing this for us that have the interest.. weaving is very therapeutic! :)
Do you usually work with salix purpurea or alba or viminalis?
I work mostly with purpurea, but not because of any particular preference. It's just what I was able to acquire.
ما اسم العصي الرفيعة؟؟؟
These are willow branches.
