    Great video.
I am a child of deaf parents both parents passed over 40 years ago so my BSL is rusty.
My 1st time teaching a deaf student which I embraced completely.
I was worried about my signing being rusty but was put at ease by the student who taught me a sign or 3 ...
The lesson went well. You are right about kerbside teaching.
Keep up the good work and share any tips and successes

thanks for great video. I am working with my first deaf student starting tomorrow over here on the west coast of Canada. I am going to use your hand signals as appropriate for driving on the opposite side of the road. Most cars are automatic transmition so it will be easier to teach with hand gestures

Great video. I have just passed my driving test in a manual and I'm deaf. I am struggling more in the car I drive now to the car I was driving in my lessons. I'm having trouble with gear changing when I had no problem in gear changing as it told me when to go up and down). I'm just thinking it'll take me time to get use to my own car and hopefully I'll be fine. If I am not, then I am not sure whether I need to get a car that has those facilities to inform me when to change a gear or should I go automatic? I hope someone can help me.

Has your car got a rev counter?
      Is it petrol or diesel?

Fantastic video, thank you. I am currently a PDI, I plan to be teaching deaf people in the future; once I have more confidence both in teaching and BSL

Dive in and just go for it. The confidence will just happen. And it will be REALLY good for developing skills towards you Part 3 eg planning and awareness!

I have my first deaf pupil and we have had an amazing lesson. Being HoH myself helped us bond and we have developed hand signals together
