That's exactly how suppressors/moderators are treated in Zew Zealand, most Scandinavian countries, and even gun restrictive countries like England. Moderators/Suppressors are most commonly treated as basic accessories requiring no special license/permit to purchase in almost every other nation. New Zealand had laws restricting where you could legally shoot UNsuppressed, at least until their recent changes on gun policy (not sure if that changed too or not). Some outdoor ranges would even require all unsupressed shooters to stand inside a large baffled barrel.

I did this process a couple days ago, and my dealer was too busy to hold my hand through the process, so I went it alone for my first ever NFA purchase. It took me 20 minutes to do the entire kiosk portion, and I could’ve got it done quicker with a little help. Next time will be even faster. Now I just have to wait.
Thats a pretty neat kiosk, I applaud them for making it as simple as it possibly can be. I bought my first can at a local shop that acted as a concierge service doing all the legwork for you ( at a modest fee). I think most NFA sellers try their best to streamline it, but hopefully with more and more people buying suppressors increasing the ownership numbers we have some statistics showing these aren't crazy or dangerous things.
"Putting yourself on a federal watchlist made easy". I'm just saying there are things that big brother doesn't need to know about, especially considering these same folks were giving working firearms to cartels.
I don't think they're putting every NFA owner on a watchlist, not without some other suspicious activity. Imagine if they did; they'd have law-abiding citizens following a rather costly, time consuming and confusing list of rules. Thats like a cop being suspicious of someone using their turn signal in a school zone.

Somebody please remind me again why we basically go through this same process to get a ccw (especially here in GA), and can use that same ccw to purchase a firearm in a matter of a few minutes, but can’t use our ccw (that has all the exact same info down to the fingerprints ) to expedite the process on our “NFA” items
I would never suggest registering any firearm related item. I dont care if they allowed us to legally purchase or manufacture machine guns post 1986, no way. I cannot recommend the NFA game. It goes against the spirit of the 2nd amendment.

Personally, I would rather someone have unregistered nfa items than registered ones. The prison time is harsh but compliance from fear has gotten the people nothing. People can feel how they want about that.
I honestly regret using SilencerShop for my last purchase. It took them nearly 6 weeks to send off my info after I submitted it to them. Would have been faster for me to just do it myself.

Just got my first suppressor back. Walked in to quiet riot, was talking and browsing their inventory when there was a distinct pop. They had shot a .300 blackout in their range in the next room with a suppressor. Sounded like a paintball gun, and I had to have one.
Silencer Shop is the best for having these form generators on their website. Made it really easy to complete since a lot of pdf docs floating around do not auto fill correctly. I was able to even call with a question in regards to the NFA item (non suppressor) I was registering and they were super knowledgeable and helpful.

Could not have been more simple. 👍🏼 I went with a DA Nomad-LT, Rugged Obsidian 45, and a DA Mask HD rimfire. Next will be either a Sandman-S or a Rex Selentium Mod-X. The invention and wide spread use of the internet. Back in the day buying a machine gun or a suppressor was quite quick and pretty simple even with the NFA constitutional intrusions. It took us usually about a month. Most people thought these items were illegal. When the internet got the word out that they were legal and how to attain them people started jumping on board. This proved great for the suppressor market as we saw prices fall dramatically but we also saw the machine gun prices get launched into space. Win some, lose some.

I use a Nokia to do my normal calling & texting, I use my Pro 1 as a pocket PC. I do use it for calls & text, but it's usually plugged into a monitor & keyboard most of the time.

So that means no open source app. Now giving that google & apple are the two biggest invaders of privacy & I am required to use their app to get a government permission slip, well that pretty much sums up the reason I stopped using google or mac systems. There are other OS out there besides ios & google/android. Hell android by itself is a good platform but the google over lay is what makes it a security risk. So they can just as easily write an open source app for anyone to be able to use as they can write proprietary apps for google play store.

Has anyone else had the issue where they did the fingerprints on the kiosk but the silencershop app says you dont have fingerprints on file. Its been less than 24 hours since i did them but still im just wondering if i should go back and do the process again
I assume any store with a kiosk also works with silencershop so I can buy the suppressor from the store and the kiosk still helps or I buy it from silencer shop and the store helps by being my FFL? Just trying to clear that up.
It’s really easy. At SilencerShop website you can search closest location and it really is that simple. Also like he said after first time everything is saved for the new addiction 😂

can a resident from a state that doesnt allow suppressors open a gun trust in a state that does allow them so long as the firearm never enters the state that doesnt allow?
Chad please answer my question! I want to set up a trust and register both a SBR and a silencer. If I set up my trust is there a waiting period, in which I can put a can on layaway, or can I start that purchase process while the trust is being set up. Or if doing a trust, is there less of a wait?

A local shop got one in a bit ago, I have nothing to suppress yet but when I do I will look into getting a suppressor

Can you be an out of state person to come an make a NFA perchase? Or can you only perchase an NFA item in your state?

So how does it work if you don't have apple or google phone? I use a old style candy bar Nokia, and my "smart phone" uses Lineage OS.

I assume any store with a kiosk also works with silencershop so I can buy the suppressor from the store and the kiosk still helps or I buy it from silencer shop and the store helps by being my FFL? Just trying to clear that up.

It’s really easy. At SilencerShop website you can search closest location and it really is that simple. Also like he said after first time everything is saved for the new addiction 😂

Does this fancy kiosk only work with purchasing suppressors or can I use this to register an 80% lower for a short barrel build? I guess I'm just wondering if I could use the kiosk to submit fingerprints in a photo for an individual tax stamp on a short barreled rifle

can a resident from a state that doesnt allow suppressors open a gun trust in a state that does allow them so long as the firearm never enters the state that doesnt allow?

Chad please answer my question! I want to set up a trust and register both a SBR and a silencer. If I set up my trust is there a waiting period, in which I can put a can on layaway, or can I start that purchase process while the trust is being set up. Or if doing a trust, is there less of a wait?
