Just got my jk 195 sgx! I couldn’t be happier! I’m glad I have spare baffles, but I actually found that 3 of 7 baffles is great for a home defense gun w/o earpro in my Benelli m4 super 90 configuration.

I have the short one (versa x) and it sounds like a 20 gauge. Will try the longer one but they are shooting short shells in one of the videos per an email with jk armament support. If you wondered why they haven’t published decibel rating and load being used you can find out by buying one!
I believe we used 2.5" shells in all of these, combinations of buck and bird shot.
Barrel length will make a huge difference in perceived sound, as well as the environment. - Chase
Hey Chase- I will reach out to you directly as I’d love any advice - we are reloading subsonic 12 g tungsten and shooting it through the versa x. The versa x does not appear to suppress the sound in any material way. I am in the process of going back to the atf to see if we can add baffles without a new stamp. Any advice on ammo is appreciated but should include detail beyond the above response. Would be really cool if these worked.
Clearing out plastic is my main concern any issues with that?

I really wish there was like a pay monthly until your tax stamp is approved then the remainder is due to transfer it to you. With $600+ electric bills every month it’s hard to scrape together the lump sum.

@@6acorns isn’t the goal to get these into as many peoples hands as possible? Common use items can’t be banned. Not every single person has the luxury of endless disposable income. It would be nice if companies did more to push this to get these more attainable to more people.

I have two Benelli shotguns. An M4 and an M2 shotgun. I rotate them out of a hidden mount in my master bedroom closet. They are my home defense shotguns. I do use 00 buckshot for these shotguns. How would I mount the suppressor on those guns? Which choke mounting set up will I need for the two shotguns I mentioned?
I just bought a Dead Air Mojave 9 from you guys and had it sent to my local gun store here in Buckeye AZ. The E-Form 4 was just processed and submitted a few days ago, but I can't wait. I want one of these shotgun silencers. I'm Thinking the SGXS or maybe just the SGX
JK has a full list of compatibility on their site, there should be a choke for both of those models. The SGX is awesome, we tested it on an M4 and it was outstanding.
What would the appropriate choke be for the Beretta a300 ultimate patrol? Thx!

Dude I need one of these. I have a Remington 870 and a Salvo 12 but don’t really care much for the Salvo. Anybody know which is quieter?

I know he said you can shoot slugs, but wondered did he mean full bore slugs or the slugs in the wad? Or both? Looking to get one for sure
Both! It will work with any common game loads including fullbore slugs.

Will this work with the Genesis GEN12 10.5" Shotgun?
JK has tested the SGX on the Gen12, it will hold up fine, just make sure to tighten the suppressor often, short barrels can cause the mount to loosen. - Chase
Does the suppressor come with a bald eagle muzzle device?
You'll need to get the correct Bald Eagle Choke for your shotgun, Hanwool, as all of the threads differ. - Chase

The SGX is very durable and really makes the tone great on a 12GA

We've found you can run a little shorter barrel, as the suppressor actually adds velocity, so we've been liking 18" shotguns. Also the suppressor is modular, so you can shorten it up to be a bit more compact. - Chase

If the versax is under or very close to 140db I'd buy a few can't beat that price point, but if its not I'd go with the rex silentium as their fullsize shotgun can costs less. Thanx for what you guys do, most of my cans are via SilencerShop and I bought the unlimited single shot trust.
We appreciate all of the support, while we do not have DB ratings, I can tell you on our 22" test host, the SGX was pleasant to shoot outdoors without hearing protection. - Chase

Suppression levels can’t be that great if neither the manufacturer nor retailer is racing to publish real data, but finds time to record and edit promotional videos.

I have the short 12 ga jk armament shotgun suppressor. It is about like a 20 ga unsuppressed shotgun. They didn’t publish decibel ratings for a reason.
@@user-ws5xf5mm8c bummer. They just released their SGX ratings. They’re not great and that’s being shot wet. I imagine the Versax is much worse.

I keep watching these silencer videos, different calibers, and they all have one thing in common. The shooters all have hearing protection in even though they are shooting suppressors. Why is that? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a silencer? If you have to wear hearing protection anyway, then you don't need the suppressor, in my opinion.
It depends on the caliber and quantity of shooting. .22lr, 9mm, 300blk, we can shoot all day suppressed without ears, no problem. 5.56 and 12G that are much more concussive, probably fine for a few shots, but can still cause some damage over time. It is the same as wearing foamys under your ear pro, that added layer is just for extra safety. - Chase

Why are everyone in the video shooting the shotgun suppressor is using EAR PROTECTION so is NOT quiet.
You do realize that suppressor does not eliminate the whole acoustic pressure, right? Shotguns produce up to 175-180 dB of acoustic pressure, suppressor dampens that down to 135-140 at best... The point of shotgun suppressor is to reduce sound level to a manageable value... Even though 140 dB is somewhat a treshold level for not instantaneous hearing loss, I wouldn´t like to shoot mine 12Ga without hearing protection even with the suppressor...
Most of these shots were on very long range days, we recommend hearing protection for extended shooting, even if its suppressed. Once your hearing is damaged there is no fixing it, better safe than sorry. For hunting or something where you would be taking limited shots, you would likely not require additional hearing protection. - Chase
That is correct, Martin. Also, hearing damage is cumulative, so where 1-2 shots may not damage your ears, hundreds of shots (like on these testing/filming sessions) definitely can.
