Used this and was super easy. July my stamp was cashed, and just yesterday I picked up my form 4 trust suppressor. Literally took 4.5 monthes
This was so easy. It’s bullshit and unconstitutional.... at least it’s easy. I bought my first two cans a week ago on a local kiosk. One form 4 is ready. The other silencer is still on backorder. The wait is going to hurt, but the timer is running. Buy the ticket, take the ride. 🤘
I just did this a month ago and it was really simple. The fingerprints took a few times to get right and making sure my photo meet the requirements (take it at home).
The Silencer Shop kiosk is how I got my can. It made what seemed like an intimidating process super easy. One recommendation I have is bring some hand lotion so the scanner picks up your finger prints easier. Good video 👍
We usually have people use wet wipes for them to read easier. It’s better than trying to wipe off lotiony prints off the screen.
@@OreGear that makes sense. It took me literally 15 minutes to get my first print to read I was so frustrated 😂 finally I went to the counter and asked the lady why the stupid thing wouldn't read my prints. She apologized and gave me a squirt of lotion then it was smooth sailing from there

My local shop doesn’t have one of these and it took about a week of back and forth emails, 2 trips to the sheriff’s office for fingerprint cards, and another morning of going to the shop to fill out paperwork and paying for the silencer.
Next time I’m definitely going to a place with a kiosk.

This is so easy that it’s dangerous. I’m already on my 3rd silencer purchase this year after seeing how easy it is this will be the only way I shop for suppressors from now on.

Paul john my firs one I bought on March 6th 2019 and got it in hand March 4th 2020. I am still waiting on one i purchased april 15 2020 and another I purchased may 11 2020.

Paul john I agree but I will admit after receiving my first one in hand I must say the wait is definitely worth it which is why I purchased two more just to get the wait time over with hopefully it won’t take as long i hear some people get there’s in as little as three months.

We have one of these at our gun shop here in Sulphur, La. I can’t tell you how much it’s helped our customers and us. The customer service is the best I’ve ever encountered. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Here at Action Arms we are the one only in the area so we help other shops by letting anyone use it. Streamlines the whole process, Highly recommended!!

Thank you for the informative video. Just went through the process. Does the kiosk automatically generate a form 4? I need a copy of it to take advantage of a BOGO that silencershop is currently offering. The LGS said I don't need to complete a paper Form 4, that it was all done at the kiosk.

Well paper wise the finger print card can you color copy the car so it saves money and time
So after you do the kiosk your done ? I thought you had to register with the atf then the dealer sends in the form 4? Also how will you know if your approved or if your form 4 is approved ? Super excited about my first silencer purchase! I just ordered a Thunder Beast 22 Take Down and plan on going to the kiosk tomorrow here at my local gun store. I wonder whether you really need a smart phone to use the kiosk though? Because I only have an old 3g flip phone... Does anyone know if you actually need a touchy app camera/smart phone?

Ya I lucked out. I sent another f4 out Aug 30th for a deadair wolfman so we will see how fast it comes back. But the kiosk is far easier and faster then trying to keep all the papers, photos, and check straight. I will use it next time for sure. Thanks for the content man I enjoy every video!

What happens if you change your mailing address on individual form 4s? (Or individual form 1's for that matter)
I’m not sure. I would contact the NFA branch of the ATF directly about that.
What about paperwork you have to hand deliver to your local , in my case sheriff for approval. Printing has to be done by enforcement officer, can be done at shop by appt. by off duty officer. So many states and counties with different rules.
I’m not sure what jurisdiction would require hand delivery, but SilencerShop mails the CLEO copy to your local CLEO.
What if I want to buy a Can from another line that silencer shop doesn't carry? Do I just buy it online and select my FFL to transfer it to with the kiosk? I have the single shot unlimited. I want a specific Can but want to use this process.
You should be able to have it sent to your local dealer and they can add that suppressor to your SilencerShop account. They may charge higher transfer fees though. For example, my store charges a $75 transfer fee for NFA items since we have to babysit it and have it take up space for upwards of a year.
I just did this as an Individual on a Form 4 for a Silencer, do I still need to send a copy of my Form 4 to a CLEO, or is it all already done by Silencer Shop ?
My understanding is that SilencerShop mails the CLEO copy for you

Local dealer will do paperwork for you.

It auto does that for you

You can still use the kiosk, but you’ll have to contact your local dealer and see what their transfer policy is

Time frame fluctuates constantly so that’s going to depend on when you file. The tax stamp is $200, $205 through SilencerShop

If you order a silencer from a 3rd party, you can still have your shop attach it to a SilencerShop account. Just be aware there can be some pretty hefty transfer fees associated with the transfer of an NFA item. I’d recommend speaking with the specific shop you want it transferred through
How do you go about using this kiosk when you purchased your silencer in a shop outside of silencer shop?
You'd have to get it sent to one of their authorized dealers, that's what I did. I brought a suppressor from a different site and used an FFL to have it sent to that's a authorized silencer shop dealer with a Kiosk inside.

The instructions for the single shot trust on Silencer Shop's website are a little confusing. So, you're saying I don't need to have a beneficiary or a second trustee (or whatever) standing there with me to enter their data when I do the kiosk for *my* S.S.T.? Because I definitely got the impression from their site that I did. Or at least that it was a good idea.
With a single shot you only need your information. You would amend the trust later to add those other people

You should be able to get a fingerprint card kit from SilencerShop and mail it back to them to complete that step. I’m not sure if you’d have to do a new set of physical prints each time though.

@Bryan 213 no it was a bungle of paper working or some stupid thing and they never received it or they simply threw it away and never even put it in their system.
I bought a trust through silencer shop. I've heard somewhere that I could do my fingerprints on the kiosk and that they could mail you cards with your fingerprints already on them. Is that a thing or have I gotten some misinformation? I see on their website that they'll send blank cards with envelopes, but don't see anything about getting cards with prints already on them. Can anyone verify fact or fiction please?

I should say that I know you can form 4 SBRs through the kiosk. Especially if you buy one direct from SilencerShop. I’m not sure if you can Form 1 through the kiosk. You might try calling SilencerShop.

It’s absolute bullshit that I can buy the gun in under an hour. It takes up to 2 years now to get an approval for what boils down to a muffler. I don’t know what moron is controlling this crap but they obviously have never spent any time around firearms or surpressors

Did the kiosk in April 2019. Paid gun store the FFL transfer fee because I bought silencer from a different gun store. I don't remember paying anyone the $200 for the tax stamp. Almost 11 months now and I have yet to hear anything.
Have you checked your order status on your account for SilencerShop? If not, log in and see what it says
OreGear I do not see status on SilencerShop app. Their website says to call ATF directly and wait because the ATF will not give exact dates.

bobandbecca727 it’s not going to say on the app what the status is. You have to log into their website, go to your account and your orders. It should show your suppressor and what the status says.

I do not understand why they, (the government) make such a big deal over the ownership of "silencers".
They don't work well at all! 140 to 150 db IS ANYTHING BUT SILENT!!!
If it would bring the sound down to 70db then I could see a need possibly of restricting sales.
Other country's REQUIRE the use of suppressors. At 140 decibels, immediate nerve damage can occur
If it sounded like a mouse pissing on cotton it still shouldn't be restricted.
