Where did you find that screening? I've been looking for some screening material to help with the hot sun at Lake Powell. Also, you two were pretty brave cooking with flame inside the boat... Don't think I'd recommend that! It's probably ok as long as you keep the flame up high. Not down in the bottom of the boat. Did you guys anchor out? Or did you find a beach? Watching this reminded me so much of our early boat camping on the Coralville Lake, and the Mississippi in Iowa! Our old Cobalt had fold down seats and a full canvas, so it was nice for camping. We always beached, though... Except for one afternoon on the Mississippi where I anchored out and we fell asleep and drifted out into the channel! Only to be awakened by the horn of a giant barge coming around the corner!! That got the heart beating fast! Still up at Lake Powell today. Getting a little chilly, but we're in a marina where we have electricity and the boat has heat. All's well so far...
We found the mesh tarps at Harbor freight LOL, pretty nice quality too. Yes we anchored and everything stayed in place. We found a cove that was really calm from the winds and stayed put all night. We have cushions to make a day bed in the front of the boat, but we could not figure a way to get the front covered. Will definitely strategize more next season. Oh man what a heart racer for sure, crazy story. Yeah it got cool at night but comfortable, not cold or hot, perfect weather, but yes it starting to get a lot colder out there.
The slips at the London Bridge are accessible during the day for the restaurants, slips not needed. But I believe overnight is monitored by the Kokomo Beach Club security checking to confirm your stay/reservations with them.
All good we didnt see any mosquitos. A few other critters but nothing crazy. Gave us a little more assurance through the night. We had fun putting it together

I don’t understand the screening,I been going to Havasu since the late 60’s and have never seen a mosquito

Built into the boat.
We actually packed a bucket or went at the London Bridge shops. But the boat can fit a cassette toilet. Will end up getting one next season.

Weather temp was low 90s, perfect for camping👌Wind speeds 17mph, ended up calming down in the evning. All worked out well. Had a blast!
