I visited one of my Army Buddies in Metairie LA (next to New Orleans). He was a welder at Avondale shipyards. I got real Cajun cooking down there. Some years later just after Hurricane Katrina, seeing the devastation I decided the best I could do is to buy products made in New Orleans as it would be good for those people who work there to still have a job. So I started buying Zatarain's products. Not as good as made from scratch, but just as good saving on time. I usually get the Red Beans & Rice mix and then add the spices. Should look for something called, "Slap ya Mama," a very spicy seasoning. Put it on fried eggs in the morning and it'll wake you up better than strong coffee.
That’s was such a nice thing to do! I really enjoyed the meal. Have yet to eat homemade. I’m sure it’s amazing! I’ll have to look for some “slap ya mama”! Thanks for sharing 👍
When I was young I worked at a camp and slept out under the stars quite often. Loved watching shooting stars. Once we slept on the boat dock. It's nice, but you wake up so wet! This seems like a good way to prevent that. Can't wait to see you try it again. Sure appreciate you and how you show what a beautiful area we live in (and what an amazing Creator God we have)!

Nice breakfast. But, personally, I don't think I would cook on the water. I think I would cook on shore (and make the coffee on shore) then paddle back out to the tent with my food. Because my life is a living Murphy's Law! 😂

Well I sure like this idea. You could even take it with a boat and stay out for a few days on the water. Wow awesome. Bet it’s pricey too. I’m with your wife I love the color. I personally think this is a ridiculous investment. There’s so many ways to accomplish this without paying that price, you can literally just go sleep on your boat have a motor and safety features. Or you can just get a raft 60 bucks.
A nice alternative to putting a boat in! A shady place to nap until you get a bite!

Gonna have to finish this video when I get back. Family is going camping about 10miles into the bush. No power, cell service etc… but I was glad to see you camped on shore. If that thing sprung a leak while sleeping, and it was all zipped up, it could be your last video.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can finish this video tonight. I'm really sleepy. I have 20 minutes left so I guess I'll finish it tomorrow. But I just wanted to comment about the tent color. You said you don't really like it, but I think it's a nice, cooling color. That's just a mental thing, I'm sure, but the color invokes glacial ice and I think it would tend to cool you a bit in summer heat. ESPECIALLY if you get an air conditioner in there! I think it's a good color and I hope to see you use the tent again. Goodnight, for now. I'll pick this video back up tomorrow. 😊😊

Great video. It would've been cool if you had someone else out there with you or someone or shore for safety so you could've slept on the floating tent overnight.
Also, make sure that you re-inflate the tent floor after putting it in water as the coldness makes it deflate. It's something you do for whitewater rafts and inflatable kayaks.

Don't know if I'll be able to but it sure would be nice... 40s would be soo welcome here in Louisiana. Next week will be our 8th week of stifling weather. Went outside this morning at 6ish. Was already a heat index in the 90s 🔥🥵. It's hard to breathe in this humidity especially with COPD.

House boat, small trolling motor, camping adventures on the water. With family, overnight? I think you have to do it. The family that swim's together stays together? The thing of night mare's? You're self and your son would be fun, just to see how it will go. Then your daughter will want to camp on water with dad after hearing of your success. I had to laugh because every time you did something( like cooking in the floating tent ) I'd say that doesn't look safe and you'd look at the camera and say this isnt safe don't worry😂 The setting was gorgeous and the reflection was fantastic!!! You sure got me at the end jumping in the water😂 As always I love your prayers and scripture❤ I'll be praying for God to heal your back issue!!! Blessings to you and your family ❤✝️🙏🤟

Hi kenny! Just loved this video and loved the floating tent! So glad you did this video with the floating tent. You probably don't remember me mentioning it to you a while back that I was curious to see you try one one day. I'm so glad you did. You poor thing though, you're just healing with your back and I don't think I've ever seen you work so hard camping then this time. Definitely is good to have a buddy or people with you doing the floating tent thing. Laughing so hard when you're drill started poopin out. Could just see you calling out, HELP! can anybody HELP! and then call Shelby to come to your rescue. Ah ha! 😁 breakfast came out perfect, no tent fire good job. Like your Technique how you dropped the eggs in the pan. Eggs and bacon looked pretty delicious. Your kids are going to love this floating tent! Your byeeee exit jumping in the water was great! I Kind of like the grayish baby blue tent like shelby. Although I'm sure the other colors are nice.. this adventure was so fun to watch. Rest up that back. See you on the next one 👍🏻🤗🧡

We have those in Texas. Inner tubes and 4x8 plywood + paracord, lawn chairs and a beach umbrella. Fish come when called. No bud light thank God. Just whiskey and cigars.
