With all the cancelations for final fantasy 15 content, their recent loss of 30+ million dollars and stocks crashing, and Hajime Tabata leaving .... which was all just more salt on their deep wounds that they have had for years. Luckily, Dragon Quest XI has done great and hopefully KH3 will be enough to get them back on track again.

Not played Hitman 2 yet but currently playing Hitman Definite Edition and the game is soooooo enjoyable just screwing around in the missions. If the Hitman franchise gets killed off it will be due to Square Enix doing poor practices like episodic mission DLC / online only play and not because the game is not enjoyed by its fans. I have played Hitman since the very first game in the early 2000's.

Great review! I do like that they keep trying to improve upon the hitman series and extend its features but the thing that always gets me the most is after awhile you can pretty much figure and anticipate what’s gonna happen and that kinda starts to bore me eventually to the point that I lose interest in playing it. It’s a great game but it’s just that a lot of stuff such as what you had mentioned doesn’t make much sense and kills the realism pulling us away from the immersions.
Completely new visuals, too - despite what some people are saying, the Hitman 2 engine is a completely new engine. The lighting, reflections and surface textures are vastly improved. It's only the character models that remain (moderately) unchanged, but that's typically the first thing everyone notices I'm hoping at some point that somebody releases a side-by-side comparison of 2016 Paris and 2018 Paris, especially the basement and main hallway areas. The constrast improvements are night-and-day.
The only problems I have with the game so far is that 47 look weirdly different from the last game which bugs me and that the cutscenes are just pictures while people are talking. What happened to the actually mouth moving cutscenes? It’s just little nitpicks but I’m just curious as to why they decided to go with this.
Jason dp I think u should just go with the 2nd because u can play the first game on the second game so u might as well play the second one and u can get the features from the second game in the first game maps so it’s worth it to get the second one
So I played Hitman 2016 and unlocked a bunch of stuff. Started Hitman 2 and nothing has transferred. All Hitman 1 levels are at 0 mastery. Is there something I have to do to transfer everything over? Any help would be appreciated.
@@ColemanzXD yes and no. If you owned the last hitman you get all the levels with the new features (briefcase, mirrors, crowd blending) for free. If not, you can purchase a dlc that adds everything.
I loved the older hitman games, I find that blood money has more options and "opportunities" than hitman 2016. Ex human shields, upgrades for weapons, ability to shoot open doors.... and much more. I was disappointed by hitman 2016, which only has 7 levels, and has less mechanics than BM from 2006. Why is hitman 2018 worth $60 plus tax?
I’d like them to set a level in a theme park, and in a cruise ship actually at sea. It feels like they're so concerned with being 'international' that they sometimes forget sheer wacky fun in an , on the surface, single giant building, like the Paris level enabled me to indulge.

I briefly played Absolution and I see what people mean by that it's quite linear but the graphical style was quite trendy at the time and lots of people still like Absolution, probably because it'a a bit raunchy.

I agree with most of the review. But not being able to stash them in portable toilets make sense from an assassin perspective. Since you have to be *inside* to lock the door. People who need to use it could simply walk in and find a half naked dead guy and alert the whole area.
Never really enjoyed hitman games, but i give props to the developer and publisher for allowing owners of hitman 2 to download the maps of hitman 1 for free. Basically you are getting 2 games worth of content for the price of one if you never picked up the first game.

Only 6 levels and they have the fucking audacity to charge this as a full priced game. This is half price at most. I love his ability that let's him see people through walls. This ability also slows down time so you have more time to react.
