Well, they are both really nice airbrushes but only one is brilliant, it is the H&S! It has a Nickel finish!
Jokes asside I am the owner of a evo silverline two in one, bought a Badger Renegade Krome (it uses the same nozzle as the sotar (0.21) and it comes with two needle setups) and it was not a good experience, it arrived in an opened card box with the warranty seal broken, forgot to say...bought it online, inspected the needles and they seemed to be fine but I wasnt able to take the nozzle proctector apart, it missed the cup lid (either metal or rubber), and since it got to me in a oppened box, my trust was broken (broken seal - Broken trust) and I've sent it back. Although I've got a Vega 2000(T&C) it would be my first Badger. Waiting on the new Infinity, if I dislike the new I will buy the old CR+ 2in1 they should get cheaper by then. Cheers!

Oh...forgot to mention. The only thing I dislike on the sotar is that it seems to be impossible to take the needle from the front, this coming from someone who does not have a Badger, so that was why I went for the Renegade Krome, that and the 2 needle setups.
The basic interiors being the same, the big difference between the sotar and the krome (besides finishing and looks) is the distance from the trigger to the point of the needle.

    Another fascinating and informative video👍💜😊✌️
The Sotar was on my list a while back (I'd heard a lot of good things about them), but as I've more H&S brushes than I really need, and my first, the Evolution CRP was (and is) so easy to clean and so good accros the board. I then ended up with an Infinity CRP and a Chameleon. Nearly all the parts are interchangeable. All came from two reputable UK companies.

Thank you Rob for the comparison I was rooting for the Sotar and would love to get one I do have the Badger Patriot 105 which is a .5 needle/nozzle setup and I love it and do believe Badger recommends 15 psi for all there brushes but you showed that 10 psi works well.

Thanks for the legendary comment. I just got my Sotar 20/20 back from Badger and compared to my Evo there really are some pros cons to both. Badger's paint lock is definitely better than my evo

Would love to see this on some artwork and real world, eg you're trying to add a glowing pupil to a 1 inch skull etc.

I'm still to try out my 20/20. Need to get the adapter. But I needed to polish the slot where the trigger goes because it was grinding against the sides as you were pulling the trigger back. Also, for the life of me I can't get the front end off the brush. Seems like it's been superglued on!
Barwell was out of stock, so I got mine directly from Badger. Took just 5 days to arrive.

Yes the front end on mine was hard to get off but did it in the end brilliant brush you will see when you get it going 👍
Thanks for watching and the feedback

use the rubber tip guard as grip and you'll be able to get it off no problem, oil the threads with needle juice before re-assembly to make future tear downs a breeze.

Maybe a dumb question, but about the trigger hack for the h&s, does the trigger lock work by you? I tried the hack once but couldn’t lock the trigger on my infinity anymore

i find that sotar 2020 is weak in needle packing area, after cleaning the cup and fully flushing through when i insert the needle back, its cover with paint .
its not so bad in hp b plus .. and infinity is excellent in that area .. in infinity when u insert the needle after cleaning ,no paint at all on the needle,
i guess its due the the triple needle packing seals that infinity has .

and in sotar i have to in and out needle several times and wipe it clean untill i dont see any paint on it when it goes through the packing

you can tighten the needle bearing with a jewellers screwdriver. If you take the trigger assembly out you'll be able to see the brass needle bearing guide with a screwdriver slot in it.

@@ste022 thank you for taking out ur presious time to reply . Yesterday i literally did that . what a co incident 😀. but my point was that u dont have to adjust that on a farily new airbrush it should be done at factory . infinity on the other hand is i guess i have had it for couple of years but never had to touch the needle packing screw and there is fair bit amout of resistance from the packing to create excellent seal.

    • @imrozgill9711
      @imrozgill9711 11 месяцев назад

@@ste022 can you please help me to find out the substance the manufacturers use on the needle stop adjustment screw , which creates resistance and the screw is not fidley , i have tried teflon tape , it works but i want to find out the excat substance .
it seems clear and very sticky and gooey glue.
And i found that tamiya noozle sealant works best for sealing nozzles .. i tried every thing else. (purple loctite, aviation loctite that does not harden, teflon tape )
