Baard Kolstad (known from playing in the streets of Oslo etc) playing a solo in april 2011, Asker.
Now drummer in Borknagar, ICS Vortex, Rendezvous Point, Leprous and God Seed
This kid is amazing. He will be a star someday. I sure hope some rock drummer is getting him his chance to rule the world.

The best thing about this video, accept for that I could watch it over and over and over and over again, and that it is the best drum solo I have ever heard..... Is that it looks like he is having the best time up there!!!!

Man, I wish I was born in Europe! There, music is such a significant part of their culture and everyday life. Bet he's been playing since he was in diapers and his father is an accomplished musician himself. He is truely amazing, none the less!
Some people are good at solos but aren't so good at timing and vise versa. This kid is great at both. Smokin fast!
Etter snart 50 år trodde jeg at jeg hadde sett det meste. Det er VELDIG sjelden jeg blir sittende målløs, men etter denne oppvisningen måtte jeg regelrett ta meg inn igjen etterpå. Her er noen fantastiske detaljer innimellom, jeg bare kan huske å ha sett Neil Peart foreta seg.
Movet med høyrehånd etter 3:44, er vanvittig. Prøv gjerne selv!! Fantastisk 10/10

I can't express how mind fucked I am with those fills... you must know that you have played the song better than Thomas Lang, you've surpassed Portnoy too, you played the dance of eternity when you were 9... I'd expect something like that from a legendary drum player. Keep going so we can see you on Tour and buy your Thomas-Lang-Like-Albums. this dude is awesome, lars is awesome, he is good drummer, he isn´t best, but still he is former of the one of the greatest metal band in history and he keeps band alive, when the band is having bad time, so have at least a bit of respect
