Baard Kolstad shows his skills as a drummer in Karl Johan 02.07.11. Baard has previously been on the 'Norske Talenter' (like "America's got talent") at norwegian television in 2009, but did not reach the final.
He was featured on Twitter by someone and has been praised for the skill on the drum. When I finally saw him so I used the opportunity to film him in action.

It is him- trust me. It is easy to recognize someone you know, standing in a place you know, isn't it? This is on Karl Johans Gate in Oslo, so it is not uncommon to see people there. Enjoy the video. :)

Seeing this guy go from raw Dream Theater covers in 2008 (which takes balls at any age, and I think he looked about 10), to this, to The Sky is Red... his progress and intensity has been a joy to experience.
02:41 - 02:51 is ten seconds of world class drumming. Awesome break.
I just love how many talented musicians lose complete control over their facial expressions when they play. So good. And the drumming.
To think this was Baard 11 years ago is nuts. In this vid he sounds like he’s already had 10 years behind the kit, all them rudiments, clean fills and complex rhythms take a lot of time to build up naturally. Glad he has a career doing it.
Played on my brithday, nice. Very happy to have heard him play live several times. Last time in Hedon-Zwolle, Netherlands, 2-nov-2019. Amazing concert of Leprous with their new album "pitfalls", and their encore "mirage" + "the sky is red" is a drum peformance unparalelled by his peers.
I love it at the end when he basicly goes "I'm going to hit everything at once!".
God only knows how many hours this kid had put in by that point. Gotta admire his dedication. Now he is a drummer for one of the best bands around, and honestly I think he might the best drummer I’ve ever seen.
Even back then he made it look so effortless. His skills are just sick, even more so today! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
