How to make one of my fave sauces: Teriyaki Sauce! Really easy and perfect for tofu, veggies, & more

One of the staple sauces I always have in my fridge is a bottle of homemade teriyaki sauce. Authentic teriyaki sauce actually only requires 4 basic ingredients but sometimes add some garlic and ginger in mine for extra flavour.

Teriyaki sauce without the teriyaki flavor! Bold move! :) In all seriousness though, garlic and ginger is the base of this taste profile, the rest just make it into, well, "sauce". :)

Not for teriyaki, I think you might be thinking of things like tare for ramen, which include dashi, a broth made from katsuobushi and kombu.
Teriyaki just involves marinating meat in this liquid (sugar, soy sauce, sake, and mirin, minus the cornstarch) then broiling (yaki).
Also this channel focuses on vegan recipes, so tuna would not be included.
