Ok, so lord slug cant happen because there is no SSJ transformation in Goku’s arsenal, and vegeta is absent, it is most likely that this is its own separate universe/timeline from tree of might also, tree of might lacks any sorta real reason to head to namek, and if they don’t go then freeza simply slaughters the Nameks, the dragon balls exist no more once Kami dies in that timeline. In LS, they did. Neil is in piccolo’s head, vegeta isn’t here so we could safely assume he’s in space training, but why would he be off training?? Maybe in this timeline, after vegeta died, goku either defeated freeza with the spirit bomb, or the false SSJ state, afterwards they simply either don’t revive vegeta, or they do and he leaves to go train and get stronger, it’s during this time that LS comes to Earth. This is my theory
If every movie wasn't Goku-centric it would be easier to fit in the timeline. Slug could have been one of the many Namekians that were sent to Earth with the wish. He would blame the Earthlings,Piccolo and Vegeta for causing the invasion of Namek by Frieza and also his fellow Namekians for being pacifists and thus weak to face Frieza. In order to make him an actual threat he could have 2-3 other Namekians following him and fusing with them to deal with Piccolo and the others. That would be more interesting than being a King Piccolo no2.

Anyone making DragonBall anime (except DragonBall Heroes) are in exclusive deals w/ Akira Toriyama and Toei Animations specifically. GT and every filler episode throughout the series got the okay from Toriyama. All this canon non canon shit is ridiculous. Just watch the show and stop making it a big deal. Super is wack and a disgrace to this franchise. But money hungry executives always gotta step in. Way to ruin the greatest anime franchise in the world w/ such bullshit arcs. Real DB fans know GT was the definitive end to the series and should’ve ended there. Now everyone tripping over what’s canon lol stop it. This is what happens when you retcon.
