  • Maybe I should use one of those nametags to rename him to Broko, because he broko any remaining difficulty the game had to offer.
I'm just barely into the "second disc" section of the game and already have access to all this endgame loot. Hungry cookpots, Ribbons, Autobarriers, 4/3x ability skills... you name it.

Old vid I know, but just curious. Is disc 2 Doomtrain a real thing? I’ve heard you can get Solomon Ring’s, Magical Lamp’s, Girl Next Door etc. from Chocobo World. Is that true or just a rumor?

I've personally gotten early solomon rings and duplicate magic lamps yes. In fact when I glanced through my steam screenshots I even have them documented.
I don't ever remember getting duplicate Girl Next Door magazines though.

@@Askeletontrappedinamanbody Man, that’s so cool. I’ve just started a perfect game attempt on my Steam. Doomtrain is my favorite GF and I can’t wait to unlock it early. One more question if you don’t mind answering. Can you leave CW running overnight and just collect all the loot when you boot up the game next, or do you have to actually sit and play thru the game manually? I hate to ask but I haven’t found a good farming guide for CW as of yet.

@@LinksCow1 If you turn event wait mode to OFF it will let you run it endlessly while the pc is on. You can watch videos, play other games, and boko will go about his journey collecting things.
But an excerpt from an old guide I wrote mentions this about making him into a viable pseudo-summon.
"Alternatively if you also want to turn Boko into a reliable damage dealing summon...
Turn event wait ON at level 49
Level up manually and rescue Koko during level 50.
After rescuing Koko turn event wait back to OFF and go back to business as usual. Now Boko will randomly encounter koko in the minigame and she will upgrade his attack.
Regardless of how you use Boko as a summon, Chocobo world will literally fill your inventory with ribbons, endgame GF skill items like 4x Junctions, 3/4x Ability, Devours, duplicate solomon rings/magic lamps etc. and entirely without input. He may seem to slack when regaining hp sometimes, but he will wake up and continue his journey."
If you allow Boko to level up from 49 to 50 with wait set to off he'll skip the event where he meets koko and will never upgrade his abilities after that point.

Interesting to see! It appears to completely change the gameplay. Is this MiSTer FPGA, emulation, or original hardware?

Just the Dec 2013 steam release on pc. Chocobo World runs through a small emulated window, since it originally required a pocketstation memory card. I doubt you'll see it on consoles unless they eventually tie it in with an app or something like that one fallout did.
