Maybe try a thrift store?
The older you get, the harder clothes shopping gets. Everything seems to be too young for you or grandma looking. Sometimes it helps to have someone go with you and encourage you to try on things you wouldn’t normally try.
I get stressed when I’m looking for clothes too
Katie I’m the same I get overwhelmed around people n shopping I don’t shop anymore the older I get I don’t like shoppin. I just shop online. Look for tank tops there you may get lucky🙏

Sometimes is good to take a friend to encourage you and is nice when you have another opinion .
The malls & shopping centers were very picturesque. They looked more like parks than shopping centers. I always prefer TJ’s or Marshals. When I have vacationed in FL, I enjoyed going to high end 2nd hand boutiques. I have always been able to find really cute & unique items that are affordable & it seems that I have always gotten lots of compliments on them.

I was going to suggest thrift stores or resale stores. It’s a little bit more work but sometimes you get something great!

My friend’s daughter lives in Orlando and she has learned to stay off the the big highways and go on the bigger streets. Since I wasn’t driving I couldn’t tell you the streets but while the highways were going slow we were moving along!

Hi Katie. I know you don't like Disney but have you ever considered going to Disney Springs? It is free to go and park and there is a ton of stuff to do. If you go on a weekday early enough in the afternoon, it isn't so busy. They also have a large Zara in their Town square shopping area. You could catch a movie at the theater, go bowling, go for a hot air balloon ride, check out the different live music they offer, and there are lots of other shops and places to eat. Disney Springs is one of my favorite places here in Orlando as well as both outlets you were just at. I avoid the Florida Mall entirely if possible. Be safe when you are driving around Orlando. Traffic is crazy!

I use to absolutely love to go out shopping but last few years I just haven't had the desire. I started thinking maybe it's part of my depression but it just isn't fun anymore

I live in Orlando but rarely go to the outlets because of all the people and traffic. Consignment shops are great! And I also get cute tops at Ann Taylor Loft when they have sales. It’s crazy hot here right now so stay indoors and shop online. 😆

I really liked the dark shorts and striped top! You looked fabulous and had an edge of luxuriousness. But no matter how it looked-if you didn't like it or it didn't feel good then it's a No! LOL
I am in Saint Augustine and am sure you would LOVE it and it has some outlet malls too... and backroads are all I take... highways=cray driving :) Also, I have really been enjoying being a minimalist and find I now know I only used to shop for fun sort of mindlessly, get high on it and I want to focus on fun in other ways.

I totally get the modesty thing. When you buy a nighty here in the UK they're almost just revealing your nether regions now altogether. So I've learnt how to sew with a machine and I add on a bit of material to make them properly fit. I wonder whether you need to do something like that and adapt some clothing to make it fit because I've had to do that with other things as well here 😊

Try expanding to stores that you don't normally shop at, Ann Taylor, The Loft, Nordstrom, etc.

Hi Katie! I live in central Fla. Titusville Fl. An hour from Orlando.. yes those malls can be a crowded nightmare. My husband and I could meet you for coffee. I’m a little older than you. I’m a Christian also.
Shopping is enjoyable for a while, but inevitably I have to get out. They've studied this and have determined that its the combination of music and lighting that does it. Wearing sunglasses helps.
I’m surprised you didn’t find anything at banana republic. They had a ton of looser tank tops when I was in there recently.
Do you like to go thrifting? I love it. Maybe its time you change your style up. Some refreshing colors. I love cotton. Real cotton everything.

I absolutely despise shopping of any sort and if it wasn't out of sheer necessity to eat, I would never even go in a grocery store! I literally by all of my clothes off of Shein and Amazon! Actually trying on clothes makes me super cranky annoyed and really hot! It's been like that ever since I was a kid!
I used to be precisely like that years ago, was having tons of anxiety issues and other stuff, and clothes shopping, even when I was a kid or teen, was sometimes
intolerable! Esp. trying on stuff. Sweat it out and then curse like a sailor when the bloody pants don't fit! LOL Now, I don't try anything on unless I can stand
there and do it fast. Otherwise, I have my sizes nailed, and I just shoot for that, and if I f. up, it goes back! LOLZ
I tried to go dress shopping for my students graduation- I ended up wearing the same thing I wore for back to school night and graduation last year!!
Luckily I hid from photos so no one would notice 😂

Hi Katie, hope you have a great 4th! How about looking for the small boutiques, non-chains? I bet there are some great shops! Not in sorry, a horrible, soulless, every store is the same Mall'? For fun you could look for "good" thrift stores, doesn't hurt! I found 2 pairs of brand new looking Tommy Hilfiger shorts for $4 each! But, I understand your frustration!

I can’t shop fir clothes in stores anymore. I shop on Amazon. It shows the clothes on different size models so you get an idea of what it might look like on you. I’ve had a lot of success & it’s not stressful.

Ive lived in florida all my life in various places. Orlando is my least favorite too congested. Its like a rat race. Actually its coming over to Ocala as well. Im getting ready for more peaceful surroundings. Florida is my home toi but its getting too crowded now.
I think Florida was on of the top states people were moving to last year. It’s super crowded in Houston now too.

Same for me, I was a shopoholic 10 years ago, loved everything I saw. The last 3 or 4 cant find anyting I like. Im mostly in black tanks too~ These stores just do not have anything i like, NONE of them!
I've been hitting the malls and outlet stores the past year or more on LI NY here, after shunning them for a few years, almost. I dunno why. Boredom...to get exercise, do
a 2 hr. walk and lose weight....and shop and get lunch. There's even been tons of crime and theft at Roosevelt Field Mall, but I still go (must have a deathwish?), and I haven't run into any danger, yet. The trouble is, the malls are so upscale now,
most stores are untouchable, unless you're loaded with $. Neiman Narcus wants $4000 for sweaters! LOL Whatever. Nordstroms is no better, very pricey. I find better deals
at the Tanger Outlet. I just found a Ben Sherman long sleeved shirt for $25 at Saks Off, and also a beautiful red yachting jacket at US Polo outlet for $45! At Nordstroms
you'd pay $100 for either, probably. Otherwise I tend to shop mainly online nowadays. I grew up going to the LI malls of course, but let's face it, they were all 1000x better
back in the day. (even the 90s) The only improvement at RF is the huge food court.

I just searched for "modest women's clothing," it's like a category some places specialize in, who knew. I don't get those white pants with the weird pocket, would have been better with a little narrowing at the knee and retro bell bottom, curves. A modest tank top, good luck.
Disney is waaay too much stimulus for me. Clothes shopping is stressful.
I haven't been down there, or at Disney or Epcot, since the latter opened in 1982 or whatever it was. I lovet as a kid/teen, probably not so much now.

Florida girl here…you would probably find something at TJMax, Kohls or even Marshall’s. You are tiny, but the few things you tried on made you look big (I know you aren’t). I have the same problem. Need to find just the right cut garment to be flattering.

The malls here in St Louis are closing down due to the mass shootings and the BLM rioting and then mass shoplifting during the rioting.
