SG very expensive. Gerage R has the car already.
@@konahead how much is it in SG?
I just checked the price too. 55k € here in Finland. Lot of snow here, would be nice toy. Just should be 20k cheaper...
@@visalaine1628 In Sweden its 40k€😏

Lmfao 🤣

The GR reminds me of the Renault 5 turbo, we want to see GR vs. R5
What’s the point in that
A r5 with 120
BHP fwd lol
What's the point of anything?
@@kells77 R5 turbo would be rwd actually with 158hp although i agree it would be pointless
@@louisvidalinc2678 it’s fwd 120 BHP mate is the R5 turbo
Your on about the turbo2
@@kells77 actually he is correct....he is talking about the turbo and you are talking about the GT.
Wish we would of gotten that GR Yaris in the states. Great little car!
You could be getting a corolla variant with that engine but it's a rumor
I don't think that there's a market for $50k hatchback
The cooper is a understated bmw hot hatch unit....classic bmw engineers. The yota is a completely different beast!! Simple tune and its swinging with 300+bhp hatches.
A great video, the Toyota 4 wheel drive system looks good, and overall a well sorted little Hot hatch. Would probably still go for the GP, even though it’s a handful, it’s still ultimately quicker (even if on the edge) with a hooligan image to match. Probably a slightly better option in the long term, if that was of any relevance 😎. Let’s get more manufacturers making cars like this please.
long term the Yaris will be worth more, and the mini is still front wheel drive.
Don’t think so, but who wants either in a couple of years anyway, ⚡️ is coming 😎
@@neilhaskell7264 I’m still hoping for synthetic fuels.

Already thinking of getting a gr Yaris on the used market in a few years.
While yes it's slower than most of the competition I feel I'd enjoy the Yaris more, it would be better in the corners and you can use more of the power without getting dangerous. That torque steer on the mini combined with all that power is going to put a few of them in hedgerows/ditches.
Nothing would bring me more happiness than owning this Yaris! It reminds me of the Mazda 323 GT-R
i like the yaris design, but i'd take the mini
The GR still my favorite
Mini could be faster but I would still take that Yaris any day of the week!
both of them is so cool I can't decide!
i'll pick for you, i'll do you a favour and pick the better car, the MINI

Helloooo, I loved the video. The new Toyota Yaris is great 💯 beautiful 💕 greetings from Spain 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
The Mini sounded better in my opinion but I’d buy the Yaris out of the two.
Why not the yaris. Vs the audi s1???
All fine and dandy. But a 1.6 3 cycl is not made to last that long Toyota or otherwise.
Agreed, way too much stress on that motor.
Helloooo, I loved the video. The new Toyota Yaris is great 💯 beautiful 💕 greetings from Spain 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
hope to see the new golf r vs the mini gp in the future
In the first meters the Yaris said: " Ok bye"
and the meters after that the Mini went: U wot m8?
Both looks great 🔥
6:35 when Mat shifts, the car literally cruises backwards....
Pity, we have nothing to do with those manuals....
I have driven a GR and I have to say it is a MAD small car. Seriously You do not expect the amount of grip and cornering speeds U can achieve. The torque is always there. You forget that it is just and only 3 cyl. Serious small racer. I mean it.
i love these pocket rockets 🚀
*Pocket Rocket* congratulations sir you just invented something today..
That's what she said. 🤣
261 from a 1.6 that’s crazy wtf do Americans do when they make cars 😂
I'm thinking it's GR man, they made both Supra and Yaris have a little more HP than what was said, cannot wait for the GR86
They work in inches not horsepower.
@@noidontthinksolol Rather have a Toyota W12 with 10Hp that I drive every single day VS An American V8 with 2000Hp that is always at the side of the road.
Lots of old American cars had hundreds of horsepower, but were slow, acceleration & tip speed wise.
@@noidontthinksolol There is nothing to debate & I don't have to. Just look up anything from an Impala to a Cuda. They all have high horsepower V8s, but cars today with smaller engines have better acceleration & top speed, albeit with some forced induction most of the time. I mean with American cars in the 90s, they had big displacements, but were still slow compared to other cars from other countries stock. Look at the New Edge Mustang 3.8L V6, pushing out 190 brake horsepower. You have Toyotas making 225 with a 3.0L Inline 6, without forced induction too. This was a huge trend.
Would still pick the Yaris just because manual and AWD. Those 2 are a great combination
Saw my first GR Yaris on the road today in Western Australia. Looks amazing!
Australian got very cheap price, so lucky
The mini looks so good
The yaris looks even better
The Mini will slap Toyota even in handstand :(
Would still have the Yaris.
I'll choose the GR anyway 🙂
