The kid that said, " My dad says that you guys are full of crap.", is Jason Reitman, the son of director Ivan Reitman. Jason Reitman went on to direct Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Calling it now:
I feel a "scream followed by: Shut up" in tunnel scene after the floating decapitated head
When I saw the thumbnail I thought the exact same thing
Pretty sure the lack of crying is the main reason the baby got picked for the part. I heard Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen almost didn't get picked to be Michelle in Full House cause one of them cried a lot. No one wants to see a crying baby. They scared the poor thing.😢
I would LOVE to see you react to Bill Murray and Harold Ramis in the movie Stripes. It also has John Candy. It’s hysterical.
“Too hot to handle, too cold to hold
They're called the Ghostbusters and they're in control
Had 'em throwin' a party for a bunch of children
All the while the slime was under the building
So they packed up their group, got a grip, came equipped
Grabbed their proton packs off their back and they split
Found out about Vigo, the master of evil
Try to battle my boys? That's not legal! They’re in control, I said they’re in control”-Bobby Brown
Bobby Brown was all over the late 80's early 90's!
Yasssssssss ❤️🔥
Bobby needed some money
Part two better
There's only one version of this song and it's definitely ghostbusters
You never had French bread pizza? Bruh. You should get some. It’s French bread with pizza toppings on top and baked.
It's good.
I was thinking the same thing!! French Bread Pizza is delicious! Look in the freezer section and try it!
I don't know why people hate this movie
Well, it’s probably because it seems kind of thrown together. Also it has all the same beats as the first one. They had Dana and Peter break up just so they could get back together like they did in the first one. As JL said, somehow the whole city forgot about the huge marshmallow man, just so they could be in jail again, like in the first one. And you can tell Bill Murray didn’t really wanna in it; that’s why there’s so many scenes where he’s the only one not in uniform. They changed Janine’s whole character and appearance just to match the cartoon. Several scenes just kind of end, like the toaster scene and the darkroom scene. The Statue of Liberty is too short. But I’m not gonna tell people they can’t like it.
For me, it’s like Muppet Babies: watching it just makes me wish I was watching the original.
I don't know why people like Afterlife.
Its not as original or well put together as the original but I have a soft spot for it
@@LeviBoldockAfterlife was better than the Kristen Wiig version.
@@blakeharris58 Not exactly a high bar.
The guy playing the head psychiatrist is Bill Murray's older brother.
He makes appearances in almost every Bill Murray movie. He's so good in this minor roles. He also played the mean boss in A Christmas Vacation.
@@SurvivorBri i love watching Bill Murray movies and seeing a brother or two pop up randomly in scenes.
His younger brother plays his baby brother in Scrooged too.
"That is God's will. I ain't comin in after you!" I almost pissed myself man!
Pretty sure that's the only version of "On Our Own" by Bobby Brown lyrics wise (there was an extended and a radio version but the lyrics were identical, one just had longer breaks and a longer intro). Great song though, written and produced by Babyface and LA Reid.
Oh man, I can't wait!! This is my favorite Ghostbusters movie.
"Your Honor, ladies and gentleman of the audience, I don't think it's fair to call my clients frauds. Sure, the blackout was a big problem for everybody. I was trapped in an elevator for two hours and I had to make the whole time. But I don't blame them. Because one time, I turned into a dog and they helped me. Thank you."
"Very good, Louis. Short, but pointless."
Fun Fact: Annie Potts' appearance significantly changed to conform to her animated counterpart in The Real Ghostbusters (1986).
Casting Notes Fact: While the role of Vigo was played by Wilhelm von Homburg, all his lines were dubbed by Max von Sydow. Wilhelm left the premiere in anger when he found out.
Family Affaire Fact: The kid who says the Ghostbusters are "full of crap" is played by Jason Reitman, son of director Ivan Reitman, and future Oscar-nominated director of Juno (2007), Up In The Air (2009), and Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021). Reitman's daughter Catherine Reitman plays the girl with the puppy.
Historical Fact: The pneumatic subway line that Ray finds when they lower him below the street was based on a pneumatic line built in 1870 by Alfred Beach. It operated using compressed air and was built as a demonstration of a pneumatic transit system. The one-block-long tunnel was built prior to any other subways in the area, and without any City approval. The single station had frescoes, easy chairs, statues, and a goldfish pond. The line was shut down in 1873 due to lack of official and financial support. The tunnel entrance was sealed and the station was reclaimed for other uses. In 1912, when digging for the modern subway system, workers found the original tunnel, still in good condition, and the remains of the passenger car. The tunnel was removed to make way for the contemporary subway lines, and the car disappeared.
Thank you Blank, for uploading this video in advance of the premier. This way, in case I can't stay up to watch, I can post the trivia for you guys in a timely manner.
I hope you (and anyone else that is reading this comment) had a great Easter Weekend. 🐰 🍫 🐣 🙏 ✝️
Go in Peace and Walk with God. 😎 👍
Just reading that, I TOTALLY heard it in Rick Moranis's voice. Thank you :D
And for Always Sunny fans, Catherine Reitman plays Maureen Ponderosa
"he says the Titanic just arrived"
that line gets me every time, especially when Cheech says "well, better late than never" 🤣😂
I always found the line "Why am I all drippings with goo?" to be utterly hilarious.
I love when Cheece says better late then never when the Titanic arrives at the dock.
The Mayor: "I spent an hour in my room last night talking to Fiorella LaGuardia, and he's been dead for forty years. Now where are the the Ghost Busters?"
Cheech
If only the titanic really could arrive in new York. 😢
Already love your channel...but the fact you reference the old cartoon AND ivan ooze.....your my kinda people.
The scene with Venkman interviewing his guests on World of the Psychic is probably one of the top 5 comedy scenes of the 80s. LMAO every time
Definitely. And the first psychic was right!
The male psychic was Kevin Dunn! His early days of acting. He was just getting started. Memorable scene.
this is one of my favorite react channels.
Fun fact: During a televised antiques show, a lady brought in a replica painting of Vigo the Carpathian. Neither the lady nor the appraiser knew what the hell it was, but the appraiser estimated the painting’s value at between $12-$15k.
Suck in the Guts guys we're the Ghostbusters
I would bypass the 2016 reboot of ghostbusters. It’s terrible. Afterlife is pretty good though.
Oh shi#! I've seen this movie 50+ times and I never caught the "put the baby down" joke until you just pointed it out.
Same and I now I feel stupid 🤣🤣
"That could've been water; I'm still not doing it!"
Amen, Sir.
😂 #same
Nintendo Advantage Controller shows up on the screen:
“Shit the f*** up” lol
Awesome Movie and Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
They had some candy slime that either came out with this movie or the cartoon. The two flavors were green apple green and strawberry red.
... okay, I have questions JL. "If they'd have killed a baby this early, I'd have stopped watching!"
So... what's exactly the time cut off that it's acceptable to kill a baby and you'll finish the movie? 🤣
At least past the opening scene. LoL
It's sad that the baby in this movie died at 28 years old by hanging himself 😢 him and his twin brother played Oscar
@@tennesseenate7314 omg I didn’t know that
That’s so sad 😞
@@Erikalynn1977 yes it is sad
Remind me not to take you on any adventures, like ever, lol.
I was playing the "EOM STFU Drinking Game"....I passed out after 20min. ;)
"Do, Rey, Egon" made me laugh so hard as a kid when I saw this in the theatre. I also always wanted that painting at the end. Excellent reaction and editing, I'm glad you got the chance to see this, JL. God bless you and Blank with excellence!
- Do yourself a favour and skip the 2016 reboot (as it's utter dogshit) and go straight to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) in the future.
- As you like Winnie The Pooh, you should watch the 2023 Winnie The Pooh movie...
No! Man! That song is originally sung by the late great Jackie Wilson. But it was resung by Howard Huntsberry. Howard Huntsberry is the guy who played 'Jackie Wilson' in the movie, "The Buddy Holly Story" in 1978, which starred Gary Busey.
I never understood why everyone calls them frauds after the whole Gozer/Marshmallow man thing..are people just stupid?(wait don't answer that)
3:00 New York... what a lovely place. :)
4:11 Haha!
7:23 Well, Vigo did that same to me when I saw this movies as a child.
14:28 Wtf... :D
I used to think that slime looked like Pepto mixed with egg yolk. I wouldn't jump in it either to save the guys. I'd meet them downstream somewhere.
When this movie came out that Bobby Brown song was everywhere. 1st GB is a classic, but GB2 well not as good is a worthy sequel. Doesnt dissapoint.
As much as I like the Ghostbusters I'm surprised they haven't been sued by people (that isn't government). Think about it. You have a loved one that dies and then some guy with a proton pack comes around and zaps them, puts them in a small box and keeps them captive in their basement. Imagine if they busted your child, wife or mother and locked them up for eternity in that containment grid, unable to cross over into the light.
You pup is always so queued into your emotional state - saw you watch a horror the other day (Conjuring?), and they were clearly freaked about how freaked you were, very compassionate puppers
"A ghost nanny! Where do you find one o' them???" In the ghost classifieds, of course :)
btw, the ghost nanny is Janosz dressed up as a nanny haha
@JL Yes agreed, the first one is way better but this is fun. The reaction was even better :).
Your not gonna jump in to save your best friend? Lmfao at least you won't sink
I bet if Drogo fell into a river of slime you would jump in after him!
I think the most entertaining reaction would be Dead-Alive, how much would it take? Idk if J could get through it without getting sick but it'd be fun(ny)😅 😅
Somebody actually just bought it on patreon, so it’ll be on patreon some time this month for sure.
The twin boys who played Oscar were the nephews of John Denver.
No kidding?! Learn something new every day.😊
The kid disrespecting the Ghostbusters at the childrens party, is Jason Reitman (son of director Ivan Reitman), and later was the director of Ghostbusters: Afterlife :)
I remember Mr. Bubble. I also remember using so much, so often as a kid that it gave me a permanent sensitivity to harsh/perfumed soaps. :P
Jason, the boy who says the Ghostbusters are full of crap, is Jason Reitman.
Jason Reitman is the son of Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.
Jason Reitman is ALSO the director of Ghostbusters: Afterlife (Ghostbusters 3).
The only thing I remember about this movie was the Bobby Brown song .
Too hot to handle
Too cold to hold
They're called the Ghostbusters
And they're in control
Yes I typed that from memory
Here's some funny Martin Lawrence flicks National Security, Big Mamas also
Barbershop funny and Olde but goodie Porkys
Loved Ghostbusters 1, Ghosters 2 freaked me out as a child, its the pink slime scene in the bathroom. hah.
19:45 "Winston..."
20:19 Every reactor says why did they come down without them. :)
22:54 Oh my... Janine is one a hot redhead. :)
23:14 Chuck Berry performing that song live is great.
The Winston in the subway scene gives me the horror shivers and a huge smile EVERY time.
The Next Movie in the Timeline is Ghostbusters Afterlife, (Ghostbusters 3) which is set 30 years after the first two. They are making a new one with the same cast as Afterlife called Ghostbusters Frozen Empire in 2024 or 25
Gotta say, when your friends jump into a river of slime to try and go after you, those are your true ride or dies.
It's funny that the kid that comes and says "My father says you (Ghostbusters) are full of crap..." is the son of Ivan Reitman, the movie director.
Ok, I'm swedish, but... I have this strong urge? to tell you that I abolutely LOVE the way you look in to the camera when something is just wrong/funny/stupid🤩
I also never got why they got rid of the park jogger he wasn't hurting anyone, dude was getting his jog on lol
I think you're mixing up 2 different Bobby Brown songs:
On Our Own (Ghostbusters II song) and Every Little Step You Take. Both came out around the same time and both are different songs but sound very similar.
GB II is my favorite of the Ghostbusters movies.!Hope you’ll watch Ghostbusters Afterlife
"Jell-O is basically frozen Kool-Aid" ... Oh, how I wish that were true. But Kool-Aid isn't made from bone marrow, as gelatin (the main ingredient in Jell-O) is. Ick!
LMAO! You shitting (figuratively) on the Detroit Lions made me laugh out loud 😂! Maaan, how does one team suck so badly 💀💀💀
I still enjoyed this movie, but I couldn't stand the fact that everyone has been calling them scammers and hoaxsters. Seriously, how the fuck can anyone sincerely believe these guys faked a Ghost apocalypse?! I demand an explanation of how could these people say Ghosts don't exist, after seeing a 100-foot tall Marshmallow man?! If that were real, I would've been traumatized for life.
Another thing that bothered me, why have another End of the world plot? Seriously, they don't need it. It should've been just a simple, Diana needs help, because a ghost wants to possess her baby plot. The slime also should've just been a coincidence that brought Ghosts back due to how shitty New York became over the century. Simple enough.
You've never had french bread pizza?? There's the classic Stouffer's, and I think Red Barron also makes them. Good stuff, give 'em a try 👍
This one was funny. Slime dick. Lol but I'm hyped for Saw 2. Saw 3 is my personal favorite of the series but 2 is pretty good too.
I haven’t had French bread pizza since probably around when this movie came out. Haven’t seen it in a LONG time. It’s good stuff though.
You’re gonna love Vigo.
As hilarious as Vigo is, Yanush makes the movie for me. "Yes I've heard all this before..." 🤣🤣🤣
Vigo creepier than part 1
😂
Awesome reaction, can you please watch a movie called THE FOUNDER.
If you didn’t know the the actor playing the doctor in the psych ward is Bill Murray’s Brother.
2:49 - that kid right there... that kid? Ended up directing Ghostbusters: Afterlife
2:43 - This little pissant is actually Jason Reitman, the director Ivan Reitman's son. He would go on to become a director himself and would eventually direct Ghostbusters: Afterlife in his father's memory.
9:39 - I was going to say something political, but I'll just leave it at some people can convince themselves of anything, regardless of if they've seen the truth with their own eyes.
13:30 - These shots here are actually from a deleted scene which I'll talk about more a little later.
17:29 - Okay, so immediately after this scene there was a deleted scene where they're driving home in Ecto 1A and Ray suddenly falls under Vigo's control. He tries to kill the Ghostbusters by wrecking the car, but one of the others KOs him and they escape. Those shots from the 'We're Back' montage were from this lost scene.
25:42 - Me when my dad is trying to tell me something important and he goes off describing some obscure minutia of the information that I have absolutely no need to know.
Many people in the Ghostbusters fandom dismiss this movie. They consider it a cheap cash-grab with little of the heart of the original. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find ANY references to this movie in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, so most people consider the movie to have been quietly removed from the canon. Personally I think it's still a fun movie, but I do disagree with their abandoning of the relationship between Janine and Egon. Of course, this movie is still way better than they 2016 Ghostbusters film (though that one does have a few good points IMHO).
Jeanine didn't wanna play Super Mario, but she did wanna play with Louis's "Wii...." xD
Hey J, you should react to a movie called Malibu's Most Wanted from 2003, with Jamie Kennedy. It's about a bunch of rich white kids who live in Malibu, and they all think they are part of the thug black gang/rapper life, it is a comedy and one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time.
Dude, every time I hit on a woman now I hear You saying "Shooters Shoot" in my head! Lol! Thanks a lot! You're the man, keep reacting, love watching with you and reliving these great films! I always have my copilot too.
That Bobby Brown song was always made for this movie. It talks about the Ghostbusters
I think this is the first "shooters shoot" for a lady on the channel
Janine’s a trend setter.
Bobby made the song for the soundtrack
I believe there will be another Ghostbusters movie. Last summer, I was downtown near Hook and Ladder 8. I spied the Ghostbusters Sign hanging on the firehouse. As this is a working firehouse it's only there when they a filming.
Some people like me don’t like the texture of jello and the squishiness. But I found if you freeze jello cups it’s 1000 times better and I don’t want to gag while eating it.
Because Bobby Brown wrote this song for this Movie. I’ve only ever heard this version. He had a video for this movie & everything.
Dude, i absolutely have to know: where do i get that Jimmy Duggan shirt??!? It is incredible
I was worried you were going to miss Bobby Brown and I'd have to defriend you. Lol
Why wouldn't a Bobby Brown song be in the Ghostbusters movie?
The mouthy “full of crap” kid at the party is played by Jason Reitman (son of Ivan Reitman)
15:34
When Mr. Bubble goes bad.
I had to stop watching. I am in pain and laughing hurts. when you said "slime dick". I couldn't help but laugh.
Yes, as I'm sure many have said skip the all woman reboot. I normally don't like telling people to skip a movie, but that one is so far out of the franchise it might as well not exist. A total woke money grab that failed. And I'm happy for it.
yeah. there's quite a bit wrong with this movie. it's beat-for-beat the same plot as the first one which is a shame when you hear about the crazy ideas Aykroyd had. Janine is a totally different character. Bill Murray didn't want to do it.
I've never been to Detroit but i spent a 3 day weekend in Memphis and I've never in my life been afraid to be alone on the streets after dark but on Elvis Presley Blvd I saw 4 hookers 2 I beleive drug deals and a mugging that possible ended in murder, all within a half mile of Graceland
Hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Same to you, buddy!
I don’t know why they never did anything with the Egon and Janine relationship they seemed to be setting up in the first one. They didn’t know there’d be a sequel but the implication was that they would get together at some point
They actually got the permission of the USA to use the real statue of liberty to walk down new york
The Bobby brown song is original j!! It was made for this movie. It’s not a remake of a song he already had. Totally new for the film.
If you liked Yuri and you know of Leslie Nielsen and Mel Brooks you should check out dracula dead and loving it if you've never seen it before
Egon has always been, and will always be, my favorite Ghostbuster.
One thing I've always asked about this is. Wouldn't it have been easier and quicker to get a child from someone who isn't friends with the Ghostbusters? Like an orphan? Lol
Sometimes the plot armour saves your ass, sometimes it makes you a bright, shiny target.
Vigo isn't very bright, that's why.😂
@@jackieniemiera5052 I suppose it's explained when Peter calls him a Bimbo lol
Peter mentioned Laura Antonelli films for Oscar to watch. "Antonelli was an Italian actress, primarily famous for appearing in sex comedies and dramas involving the sexual awakening of repressed women." LEL
It's actually easy to have people you don't like commuted I reccomend it to everyone i don't know what happens when theu get out, I've been committed 6 times only once by my ex wife
Big dog you gotta try French bread pizza it’s delicious trust me, and shout out to the Bobby brown cameo I was a huge fan of him and new edition as a kid.
Sort of like Vigo I sit on a bacon throne, atop a mountain of pancakes, drenched in rivers of syrup.
That what I always said. Did you guys not see the 100 foot marshmallow man? LOL
