A deceptively beautiful song about a narcissist who assumed that his lover was faithful only to him. When he suspected otherwise, he strangled her and stayed with her rotting corpse. Even when his crime was discovered, his only thoughts were for himself and how the stench has made him ill. Beautifully written with so much understanding of the narcissistic mentality, such an underrated song.

Klavier is one of my favorite Rammstein songs and I get goosebumps every time I hear this song.
Also, any song from "Live aus Berlin" is worth reacting to because it's Rammstein at their best.
I love the part when he's getting ready for that one verse by breathing in and out quickly, like a deep diver. Which he is. I've seen footage of him deep diving while on vacay and it was as fabulous as it sounds to watch haha. One of their very best songs and Till's favorite from the album, according to him.
This song also has an instrumental piano version . Its on the appropriately titled album called "Klavier" , which is just songs of theirs on piano.
Finally. I always get goosebumps by this.

I so want you guys to react to Rein Raus. There's a video that someone made full of visual innuendos to go with the lyrics of the song and it's hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing when I watched it. I think you guys would love it.
iano is about a murderer who killed his lover who played the piano for him. He left the corpse at the piano and just locked the door. In the last chorus line he sings "and when my playing started she held her breath". He strangled her. The stench says she rotted on the piano.
Yes and like a narcissist he only thinks of himself at the end "no one believes me here, that I am deathly ill from the sorrow and the stench". All about him. Brilliant writing.
Most killers feel more sorry for themselves than for their victims. Lindemann is the best copywriter we have in Germany. He also writes good poetry.

C'est grâce à ce concert que j'ai vu dans un bar de Bordeaux en 1996 que je suis devenu fan de RAMMSTEIN au point de me faire tatouer sur la colonne RAMMSTEIN justement avec la même écriture que sur tout leurs albums..

Obviously it's not about Till's life, in almost every his song Till portrays some kind of murderer, maniac, pervert, etc. in this way Till makes fun of human vices, stupidities and abnormalities. He even has songs about gays and people who wear tattoos, by the way. And about people who support abortion too.
And Till has lots of songs about sex addicts, for example: Bück dich, Pussy, Ausländer, Rein Raus, Fish on, etc. Also he has lots of songs about sexual perversions, so sex is one of the biggest (if not the main) themes of his songs.

When it comes to Rammstein lyrics are as, if not even more, important than the music itself. To fully get the power and meaning of the music, you have to understand what he is saying. I don't get exactly why you don't factor the lyrics in.
