Aye.... She got to see a complete concert... In a soccer arena.... With these massive towers... And that REAL fire... 😂 She'll be 'what the 😳' for complete concert 😂
Hah! Agreed! Go watch the live performance of “Rammstein - Rammstein” in Sydney for Australia Day. Not the best quality video, but the crowd reaction to what the lead singer is doing in that video is quite something… 😂
Wherever Rammstein performs in the world, fans can sing along with the German lyrics. Even in France. The band is known for its sensational live performances. The song singer, Till Lindemann, is a trained pyrotechnician and uses his knowledge a lot during the shows. What you might think is blood on his arm is a protective gel against the flames. Fun fact: The keyboardist runs on a treadmill and covers about 16 miles during a concert.
@@millennialmeetsmusic From what I've heard, he's also very cautious/carefull with how he sets the fireworks up in terms of safety precautions. Say about germans and their regulations what you like, but in this field the regulations are important and needed. Till is a professional at work.
The "blood" on his arms is not protective gel, it's simply instant coffee with water. Flake (the keyboard player) mentions it in a book he has written a few years ago.
I'm in Ireland and due to health and safety regs, they can't perform here. They're allowed in the North of Ireland, because Rammstein still won't be the scariest thing in Belfast. I'm going to see them in Paris in July
It was 1997 when "Du Hast" was released, I was 4 years old and it blew my mind as a kid when I saw the video on MTV. I'll never forget that day and I will always remember when my Mom kept re-recording the video on VHS, so she can show my Dad once he came home from work. It blew his mind as well because we became huge fans ever since that day and Rammstein never disappointed us since. Now, fast forward 25 years later and I finally went to my first Rammstein concert here in NJ at MetLife Stadium. As in my Dad's honor, especially since it has been 10 years since he has have been gone, I made sure to not miss this show at all. I took my 64 year old rockstar Mom along with me because she's a metalhead herself and we couldn't miss this opportunity. Plus, Mom and I just couldn't stop headbanging to every song Rammstein played and we were in section 226, which was an excellent experience and I uploaded some videos myself on RUclips. By the way, to all of you on here, Rammstein is one of my all time favorite bands and definitely the greatest band you will ever since live, which is why I recommend you all to one day go to their concert. 🎸🤘
@@millennialmeetsmusicYou're very welcome and I am glad to share my story. I appreciate your thoughts and yes, my Mom just keeps on living life to the fullest! Forever young is her mindset and that's how we should live our lives. By the way, keep it up with the reactions and hopefully you react to more Rammstein in the near future. 🖤🫶
And what makes it even funnier I’ve heard Rammstein for the first time when I was WAY in my 10th (in 2005-2007) and my Russian rock/metal phase that ended only in 2016 when I’ve heard Sabaton and HammerFall for the first time and start slowly transitioning away from typical Russian rock/Metal stuff that I’ve listened in 2005-early 2016)) So technically speaking, Rammstein was my second European metal band (after Nightwish) that I’ve heard that time and that helped me to transition to the Swedish and European metal scene easily later))
I have been to HUNDREDS of concerts in my 40+ years on this rock, and Rammstein was by far the best live act I've been to. Their stage presence is unparalleled.
Fireworks are an integral part of many live songs of Rammstein. 😁 So if you'll watch more of them, there is a lot fire waiting for you. Lyrics of "Du hast": The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times). If you want to see more of their (incredible) live performances I would suggest (in this sequence) Rammlied (live from Madison Square Garden) Engel (live from Madison Square Garden) Sonne (live at Rock im Park 2017) Links 2 3 4 (live from Madison Square Garden) Ich will (live from Hurricane Festival 2016) Ich tu dir weh (live from Madison Square Garden) (don't take the lyrics too serious) Mein Teil (live at Hurricane Festival 2013) Amazing official videos Sonne (Sun) heavy, screwed up fairy-tale Links 2 3 4 (left) partly heavy march Ich will (I want) heavy, simple, way to celebrity Spring! (Jump!) (fan-made animated version with english subtitles) slow, partly heavy, very dark sarcasm! Radio (Radio) catchy song (with serious background) Keine Lust (not in the mood) heavy, funny, slidely sad Mein Herz brennt (My heart burns) scary, nightmarish, very special Amerika (America) catchy, not a love song Newest official videos from their last album "Zeit" in sequence of the tracks on the album: Zeit (Time) slow, dark, melancholic, emotional Zick Zack (Snip Snap) catchy song, sarcastic, funny Angst (Fear) very Rammstein, scary, credits at the end are helpful to understand the message Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) heavy (most of the time), catchy, funny, credits are funny too (my view) Adieu (Goodbye) dark, sometimes heavy, emotional Last but not least the great (but not nice) video "Deutschland" which has a lot of references to (mostly unpleasent) parts of German history. Video, lyrics, and sound are great (my view) and work very well together. For many of Rammstein's videos there are English subtitles available ... and sometimes needed to understand what's going on. To find a lot of them, you may search on RUclips for: "educated marine rammstein" + songname For live videos of Rammstein songs, www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists is a good source. In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".) I wish you to enjoy your Rammstein journey.
Mate, thank you for your write-up lol, I was going to try and write something along similar lines but you have done the hard work for me, and probably better than my attempts would be! I would like to add though, a couple of my own suggestions for the 'what to watch next' if I may; I would suggest having more from European concerts rather than mainly from the (admittedly awesome) MSG concert. My suggestions would include 1. Buck Dich (Live), from the 'LIFAD' tour, so I think the shows between 2012 and ?. On the list you suggest this should go between Engel and Sonne 2. Fruhling in Paris Live at Arene de Nimes, 2017 and I would put Links and Ich Will (live versions) on the backburner for the time being Official Music Videos: I would replace Sonne and Amerika, just for the time being, to add in 1. Ohne Dich MV 2. Auslander MV And I would suggest starting it all with the next Rammstein masterpiece you watch being the incredible Official Music Video for the song *'Deutschland'*. It is amazing, basically 2000 years of German history (or the region known today as Germany), and, this being Rammstein they do not shy away from the darker, disturbing aspects of that history either. The song is done wonderfully, and the actual video is truly a masterpiece, the attention to detail, the layers and layers of meaning, it is phenomenal. You will need translation though and I recommend watching the video on Educated Marine's channel as they have a good translation of the lyrics into English. Also, you MUST watch the whole video, from the first second to the last, DO NOT skip the outro! BTW there is a video on a channel called "three arrows" iirc, that explains some of the aspects of the song Deutschland from a native german point of view, which is great because to say this song is deep, and with multiple layers of meaning is a massive understatement that really doesn't do it justice! I recommend you watch it after seeing Deutschland, even just for yourself.
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 The video "Deutschland" is great, but it's rather heavy stuff (contentwise) and it is worth to busy oneself with it for a while, so I wouldn't put in in the beginning. The analysis and infos from "three arrows" is definitely worth to be seen afterwards, to get more insights to the historical events referenced in the "Deutschland" video. And "Bück dich" ... 🤨... well, I saw it first on the bluray of the Paris concert and was very disappointed ... soundwise and because for me it is much more obscene than funny. I wouldn't suggest it to someone in the beginning of a Rammstein journey, because it is - even for Rammstein - untypically provocative. I wouldn't replace "Sonne" and "Amerika", but adding "Ohne Dich" and "Ausländer" is a good idea. A few days ago I've detected "Mein Land" (useful with English lyrics) which I will add to my list of suggested official videos. It is one of those videos that look and sound funny even so it's not.
@@arnonyhm4055 hi, yes I think I was very tired when I wrote my comment, such that I got it in my head for no rational reason that the number of songs on the list had to stay the same 😅 I don't even know why!! As for Buck Dich, well I first saw that live in 2001, and in some of the other shows I've been at including 2012, so I saw the older version with a young Richard on the keyboard (like the Live Berlin version), and the later version with Schneider "taking the lead" so to speak!! I was actually debating which version, I think it is just because it has been a favourite of mine for a long time and of course it's place in the history of Rammstein is noteworthy, with what happened when they played in the US etc, alongside the vicarious pleasure of seeing someone else experiencing a piece of music for the first time 🤘🏼 It's funny you mention "mein land" though as I very nearly added it to my comment as a sort of wildcard suggestion just because the whole vibe, especially the first half, is just so much fun! I don't think it's what people expect from Rammstein but it was done really well and the change to the second part of the song too. And again, it has a backstory I think the main "problem" with suggesting other Rammstein tracks to people to check out is that there are so many excellent examples and material to choose from, and then often multiple versions of the song too, live, and from different tours, album version, music video, more acoustic live version, piano, alternative version such as with 'roter sand'/'liebe leise', etc etc, and this is great news for us fans but it can be hard to know what to suggest next!
@@arnonyhm4055 Everything above, and add: Mutter, Rosenrot, Rammlied (Live at MSG, 2010), and Radio, also. (Yes, I agree that "Deutschland" is a song that definitely needs the time to take the deep dive into everything contained in it.)
These guys are in their 60's and they are still rocking the house. The singer is a certified pyro technician so that is why they have all the fire and fireworks in their shows.
I had the honour of seeing them live in Coventry last year. Believe me, this is nothing compared to when you see the whole concert. Mein Teil, Puppe, Ich tu dir wei, all of those live make this look like a relaxed tea party. Rammstein are beyond amazing. Their official videos are tremendous too. As you can tell, I am somewhat of a fan of theirs 😊😁
I saw them in Cardiff last year, a few days after they were in Coventry, and that was also amazing and also hella loud. The pyrotechnics were also amazing.
The first time I saw Rammstein, I was towards the back of the crowd and even then I could feel the heat from the pyrotechnics. Last time I saw them, I left with singed eyebrows. :) Definitely high on my list of favorite concerts - they are amazing live.
Oh you should see what passes UK regulations these days😅 and check out the 2022 performance of Mein Teil at Cardiff. Nobody beats Rammstein when it comes to live performances. They're spectacular. Du Hast means you have. The first line of the song is basically, you've asked me and I've said nothing. It's a play on wedding vows where his partner says yes but he says no. Du Hast, as I say means you have, du hasst means you hate so phonetically it could be interpreted as you hate me etc. It's a homophone so needs context for understanding. Glad you enjoyed and welcome to the Rammstein rabbit hole!
There's a saying, "when Rammstein comes to town, everyone speaks German"! Demonstrated by a giant French audience singing along in German! Rammstein are known for their epic live shows w tons of pyrotechnics! They also produce movie-like videos! Not sure if you noticed, but keyboardist, Flake (pron: FLAW-Kawh) is on a treadmill! He can walk up to 17miles per show!
When Rammstein visited Russia way back when, I think, LIFAD was released and they performed "Deutcschland" on stage, there was a joke going like this: "Rammstein did with music what the german army failed at with weapons in WW2: make russians sing 'Deutschland über alles'"
Oh yes they do shows like this in the uk, they're amazing to see live! Everyone loves flacke the keyboardist. He does little skits and you can always tell that hes having a great time. They've been together for 30 years and ive been a huge fan for 20 of them, the lead singer is 60 now and the rest are in their 50s. It made me laugh that you were surprised more at the fireworks than the massive flames 😂. Its amazing to see in person
Rammstein are a performance art group. They are so much more than just a rock band, I look forward to seeing you learn all about them. Ich liebe Rammstein!!
I've been to the Rammstein concert in Prague at May 15th 2022, the first concert of their tour. That was one of the best days in my life beside the birth of my sons! We were standing about 120 m from the stage and the fireworks were so f***** hot in our faces. EPIC!
I remember when they blew up! I was a teenager in the 90s and we had the beginnings of the industrial music like Rammstein, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, even some of NIN.
I saw them live in San Francisco around the year 2000. I was in the mosh pit near the stage and he pulls out a flame thrower and could feel the wave of heat when he used it. It seemed crazy af to have a flamethrower in a small indoor venue but it was also really memorable.
This song is about whether a person who want to get you to swear it eternal allegiance "you have" or "you hates". In German, "du hast mich" (you have me) and "du hasst mich" (you hate me) sound similar. Regardless of the message of the lyrics, which may allow possibilities for more interpretations other than mine, the performance of this song in Paris that Rammstein put in there was just powerful.
as a die-hard Rammstein fan I've seen loads of reaction videos but yours is seriously one of the best. I envy you for the experience of discovering the band for you and your reaction is just honest and I had to laugh heartily at your horror. By the way, I also think your split screen is very successful, I haven't seen it that way either. Hope to see more Rammstein videos from you.
This song was HUGE in the mid/late 90's in the states, despite the fact that none of us understood the language and the internet was too new to have translations. You asked what "Du Hast" means, and we had to go decades without knowing! Also the stuff on his arms, I think is a gel to protect him from all the pyro.
This band is absolutely amazing live. So many good songs, an excellent stage show. Lots of fire and pyro. It is amazing. Go see them live preferably in an outdoor venue.
What amazes me is how they still bring so much energy to a song they have been playing live for decades this is their first big hit and they still play it every show. I was lucky enough to see them live last Sept in San Antonio hands down best live show I have ever seen. And the Pyro at their show is amazing you feel the heat and smoke throughout the entire show.
From what I've researched, the lead singer is also a licensed pyrotechnition. So naturally he fires a fuckin rocket into the crowd that returns and creates the craziest explosion behind him. Amazing.
Your welcome my friend if you want a better understanding of how the voice works check out the fairy voice mother - channel she is from London have a look at her video of jinjer pisces it will make you smile love and respect from the UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing channel 👍
'Pass Regulations' I'm in the UK myself MMM - Their show in Cardiff few years back BLEW my mind and yes, just like Paris (UK was almost as good but Paris Rammstein was/is my number 1 concert I ever attended) did to me, there were all the fireworks / flame and everything we had in Paris. You won't miss a thing watching them performing here in the UK hun. They're at Wembley this year, this month I believe?
"Du hast mich" is some kind of wordplay. First "Du hast mich" means "You got me", but the same pronunciation is "Du haßt mich", which means "You hate me". So the crowd (french audience shouting the German words at the beginning) and the lead singer played around with these different meanings.
I love this video and your reaction is why I watch reactors. I am an old man and having a bunch of French people following the lead of a German and yelling in German freaks me out. Be well.
@@millennialmeetsmusic Well you reacting to this got you a new subscriber. I recommend you watch Deutschland. It is an incredible video. You might have to slice it up a bit but everyone would understand. Again, be safe.
It is a wordplay between "du hast" and "du hasst mich" first one mean "you have" the other mean "you hate me". Rammstein does realy nice shows, the show of "Mein Teil" is in my opinion one of the best.
I really love your reaction. I have been a Rammstein fan since 2015 (I was 14 years old) and finally saw them live in 2022. Their shows have been improved since the Paris concert. More pyros and flamethrowers really made the deal in their most recent concerts. But in overall, it's Rammstein. No matter which show you have been, every show is breathtaking and amazing.
Du hast means you hate, but it also sounds like du haste which means you have, so the song is a play between those meanings when it comes to all the other lyrics.
Du hast mich gefragt. You have asked me. This song is about the marriage vows in German. The lead singer, Till Lindemann is a qualified Pyrotechnician, so all the fireworks are his doing.
"Du hast mich gefragt" means "You asked me", but "Du hast mich" can also be understood as "Du hasst mich" which means "You hate me". It is a nice play with word. It is a song about a guy denying a woman wish to marry him.
Rammstein's most recent US Tour was all stadium shows because of their, shall we say, overwhelming use of pyrotechnics. But as others have said, this is "light" use of pyro for this band. After an incident involving pyro in the 90's, some.if not all of the band members became certified pyrotechnicians so they have sole control over the fire. It also eliminated the middle man saying, "that would be cool, but are you sure?". Looking forward to more Rammstein from your channel!
Engel is another Rammstein song you should check out. Especially the live version. You think this show was dangerous with the fireworks, the rig he wears in Engel will blow your mind.
One of the first paragraphsof a Rammstein contract states "No fire. No show". I've worked several of their shows when they come the US and it's always a great time.
The Song "du hast" is a play on words, because "du hast mich" means "you have me" but it sounds exactly the same and is almost spelled the same as "du hasst mich" which means "you hate me". The fun thing is when Til sings things like "du, du hast, du hast mich, du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt" because for every german speaker it sounds like "you, you hate, you hate me, you have asked me and I have said nothing"
that you have refers to you hate me! In the chorus it says "will you till death do us part" a statement about the wedding. he had answered the question in the negative and hence the hatred The meaning of the goods is unknown to many.
Du hast mich Gefragt = you have asked me Du hasst mich = you hate me Sounds the same though =) Also, the keyboard player is Flake, which not pronounced in English.
Loved your reaction, open minded, and appreciative of what is indeed, more than just music, in an elaborated play of different elements, choirs with female voices, electronic music , heavy metal and theather like perfomance
I saw them many years ago. The guitarists had flame throwers, there were lots of other pyrotechnics and they all fired off rockets at the end. This wasn't in a big stadium, but the Manchester Apollo.
Lead vocalist Til is a pyrotechnics expert, their shows are full of fire and pyro, you haven’t seen anything yet!! The guy on the keyboards runs on a treadmill, he says it’s a way to keep busy while he’s playing (to not get bored)
The Chorous is "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt", Meaning "You have asked me and I have said nothing." The whole song is a clever play on German Wedding Vows.
I saw them in Winnipeg Canada back in 2012, the only time they have ever come here, and it was the most epic thing I have ever experienced. What you see in the video here is exactly what they did on stage (including the fireworks) , only it was much hotter, and much more amazing. And yeah there was a fair amount of smoke in the hallways of the arena after the concert. If you ever get the chance to see them live, jump on it, you won't regret it and you will remember the experience forever.
if you love the Keyboard player, react to their other live performances. as he loves to get stuck in with the guanine pig stuff 1 live show he sits in a giant metal cauldron and duck into it while the singer fires a flame thrower above his head. honestly they are probably the Fist aiders worst nightmare :')
Oh you haven't seen anything yet lol, welcome to 🔥Rammstein 🔥 !! My thoughts on "all this"? Absolutely Funking EPIC! I Love Rammstein, I have seen them live multiple times over the last 20+ years and they are always awesome, ther live shos are just amazing, legendary! And there is always fire! Even the indoor UK shows of the past had the fire, amazing pyro. Now they are doing stadium tours, including this year 2023 with a European Stadium Tour - no UK dates though. But if you have a passport and can travel see if you can get tickets to one of their shows because they really are amazing
I loved your reaction and I hope you'll dive deeper into Rammstein music. They are the best band in the world to me and the best live band in the world objectively. What you've seen in this video is just a small piece of what they do on stage.
Only Rammstein can bring french people to sing in German!! "Du hast" means "you have", BUT it can also be understood as "Du hasst (mich)" with two "s", meaning "you hate (me)". You can only tell the difference from the context, or if it is written down. In this song it meant "you have (me), because he afterwards says "Du hast mich gefragt" (you have asked me), which isn't going with "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). I love Rammsteins early works until the Mutter (mother) album, but unfortunately they are going more and more to produce music for the masses, and are not true to their style anymore. Some people might say that they have progressed, but i see it that we that they straight from their way and became a band which produces music for the masses, and not that music that has set them apart from other bands in the past... After the album Mutter there were only a few good songs, and the rest was and is only a mass product.
Rammstein are at the top their game - in intensity, pyrotechnics and performance. They come from a long line of European industrial performance / rock music - Einstürzende Neubauten, Archaos, Mutoid Waste Company, Test Dept, Faust, World Domination Enterprises and even further back to the Futurists Art of Noises and Shostakovich. There is a rich heritage in European Industrial Music - and Rammstein are currently the most accomplished and certainly the most successful commercially.
If you think that´s crazy, have a look at "Engel " live at Madison Square Garden. in a Concert, even in the last Row you feel the Heat from all the Fire at the Stage
Nice reacting Becky, I would suggest you follow it up with Engel, it’s a bit like this but on a different theme. There’s also one that’s a bit naughty called Dicke Titten, it’s where Til plays an old blind man who’s looking for company in his old age 😜
The band vocalist Till Lindemann is a trained pyrotechnician. He got the degree after one minor accident during one of their performances and it is such an integral part of their whole performance that he decided to be also a professional pyrotechnician. That's why they are able to use these props. Rammstein \m/ Cheers from Finland.
Hi Reactor Du Hast means. You have.. And the big love just in this performance is the France public as sing in germany languish..its almost impossible to get answers from a france if you talking english in there home town.. THX for a wonderful reaction on DU HAST 🇸🇪❤️🇸🇪
To put this pyro into perspective, I saw Metallica a few years ago in an NFL football stadium. We sat all the way at the top, basically sitting on top of the stadium, itself. The stage was all the way down on the opposite side of the field. It was difficult to make out individual people without the giant screens showing what the cameras were seeing. When they used pyro, which was nothing compared to what you saw in this video, I could feel the rush of heat on my face. Again, I was sitting in the nosebleeds of an NFL STADIUM and could feel the heat from pyro being used on the field over 70 yards away... These guys have pryo that puts Metallica's to shame shooting DIRECTLY ABOVE THEIR HEADS! Absolutely insane.
I was at Rammstein in Gelsenkirchen in 2019. I sat further back because I didn't want to buy the fire zone ticket and believe me... you even noticed the heat down to the smallest corner. Problem is namely. Pyrotechnics cannot be set up in Germany and other EU countries like it is in America.
On the topic of UK regulations: There are news articles about a Rammstein concert in Coventry that was so loud that you could hear it (and the police got noise complaints) from over 10miles away.
Becky or is it Becci, Young lady put your seat belt on for this one. It is powerful.... High Energy!!!!! Take note French people are singing on German!!! A fast Google search says Du Hast means you have. Put your fire suit on!!! I read that the contract says No Fire, no concert. I wonder if you have to sign a waiver to attend. Lastly in my muddled brain the keyboard man's treadmill is attached to a generator. This device powers the amps, mics, and lights. Take care and rock on!!!
A short summary about the catch of the song. First there is a dual meaning in the phrase "Du hast" - "You have", "Du hasst " " You hate". Anolther part of the myrics "Willst Du bis der Tod uns scheidet... NEIN!" "Will you untill death does us apart..... NO!" are parts of the wedding oath in german. The girlfriend of one of the bandmembers confronted him with either leave the band and marry her, or stay in the band and she will leave him. This song was made in the aftermath.
I saw them live in Cardiff last year, apparently ppl in the surrounding areas were phoning the fire dept thinking the venue was on fire, I was seated all the way at the back and could feel the fire
37k views already after 7 days. That should tell you the Rammstein fans want more! Live from Madison Square Garden - Ich Tu Dir Weh, and also the song Engel from there as well Official music video for Deutschland Go go!
The crazier it gets, the better. Try "Mein Herz Brennt" the Piano version next, that is just scary. "Ich Tu Dir Weh" live from Madison Garden is also great
The meaning is changing. In German 'du hast' = you have got. But: 'du hasst mich' = you hate me. Last: 'du hast mich gefragt' = you have asked me. Great play on words in this song.
If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it! I like their music but I wouldn't class them as a favorite band. However, I went to see them in Cardiff last year & the show was truly mindblowing. The pyrotecnics, the heat of the flames, the awesome vibe of the crowd. That will live with me until the day I die.
The story behind the fireworks is rather sad: as the band‘s name refers to an aeroplane accident at Ramstein Air Base in 1988 where the aircraft part crashed burning into the crowd that killed 70 people. That is why fire plays a central role in their performance.
you ain´t seen nothing yet.

The "blood" on his arms is not protective gel, it's simply instant coffee with water. Flake (the keyboard player) mentions it in a book he has written a few years ago.

The "blood" is on his arm because "Mein Teil" was played before and its part of the show.

Thank you so much for sharing, it's very heartfelt. Thinking of you, your family and your Dad 💜
Ps. how cool is your Mum 😀
Lol, I was 2 years old when Du hast came out on the Sehnsucht album)) Born October 2nd 1995 btw)
Oof... I was 20... I'll grab my walker xD
If you want to see more of their (incredible) live performances I would suggest (in this sequence)
Rammlied (live from Madison Square Garden)
Engel (live from Madison Square Garden)
Sonne (live at Rock im Park 2017)
Links 2 3 4 (live from Madison Square Garden)
Ich will (live from Hurricane Festival 2016)
Ich tu dir weh (live from Madison Square Garden) (don't take the lyrics too serious)
Mein Teil (live at Hurricane Festival 2013)
Amazing official videos
Sonne (Sun) heavy, screwed up fairy-tale
Links 2 3 4 (left) partly heavy march
Ich will (I want) heavy, simple, way to celebrity
Spring! (Jump!) (fan-made animated version with english subtitles) slow, partly heavy, very dark sarcasm!
Radio (Radio) catchy song (with serious background)
Keine Lust (not in the mood) heavy, funny, slidely sad
Mein Herz brennt (My heart burns) scary, nightmarish, very special
Amerika (America) catchy, not a love song
Newest official videos from their last album "Zeit" in sequence of the tracks on the album:
Zeit (Time) slow, dark, melancholic, emotional
Zick Zack (Snip Snap) catchy song, sarcastic, funny
Angst (Fear) very Rammstein, scary, credits at the end are helpful to understand the message
Dicke Titten (Big Boobs) heavy (most of the time), catchy, funny, credits are funny too (my view)
Adieu (Goodbye) dark, sometimes heavy, emotional
Last but not least the great (but not nice) video "Deutschland" which has a lot of references to (mostly unpleasent) parts of German history. Video, lyrics, and sound are great (my view) and work very well together.
For many of Rammstein's videos there are English subtitles available ... and sometimes needed to understand what's going on. To find a lot of them, you may search on RUclips for: "educated marine rammstein" + songname
For live videos of Rammstein songs, www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists is a good source.
In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".)
I wish you to enjoy your Rammstein journey.
Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment this, I really do appreciate it and I’ve learnt loads!
Very kind of you, thank you again 😀💜
Mate, thank you for your write-up lol, I was going to try and write something along similar lines but you have done the hard work for me, and probably better than my attempts would be!
I would like to add though, a couple of my own suggestions for the 'what to watch next' if I may;
I would suggest having more from European concerts rather than mainly from the (admittedly awesome) MSG concert. My suggestions would include
1. Buck Dich (Live), from the 'LIFAD' tour, so I think the shows between 2012 and ?. On the list you suggest this should go between Engel and Sonne
2. Fruhling in Paris Live at Arene de Nimes, 2017
and I would put Links and Ich Will (live versions) on the backburner for the time being
Official Music Videos:
I would replace Sonne and Amerika, just for the time being, to add in
1. Ohne Dich MV
2. Auslander MV
And I would suggest starting it all with the next Rammstein masterpiece you watch being the incredible Official Music Video for the song *'Deutschland'*.
I was actually debating which version, I think it is just because it has been a favourite of mine for a long time and of course it's place in the history of Rammstein is noteworthy, with what happened when they played in the US etc, alongside the vicarious pleasure of seeing someone else experiencing a piece of music for the first time 🤘🏼
It's funny you mention "mein land" though as I very nearly added it to my comment as a sort of wildcard suggestion just because the whole vibe, especially the first half, is just so much fun! I don't think it's what people expect from Rammstein but it was done really well and the change to the second part of the song too. And again, it has a backstory
I think the main "problem" with suggesting other Rammstein tracks to people to check out is that there are so many excellent examples and material to choose from, and then often multiple versions of the song too, live, and from different tours, album version, music video, more acoustic live version, piano, alternative version such as with 'roter sand'/'liebe leise', etc etc, and this is great news for us fans but it can be hard to know what to suggest next!
@@arnonyhm4055 Everything above, and add: Mutter, Rosenrot, Rammlied (Live at MSG, 2010), and Radio, also.
(Yes, I agree that "Deutschland" is a song that definitely needs the time to take the deep dive into everything contained in it.)
Have seen them a total of 6 times; 4 in the UK, 2 in Germany. Can assure you it passes regs (and is beyond spectacular) : )
I’m so jealous!
Haha! That’s awesome 😀💜
These guys are in their 60's and they are still rocking the house. The singer is a certified pyro technician so that is why they have all the fire and fireworks in their shows.
And that's Rammstein being tame. "Feuer Frei" live is utterly insane, for example. You feel the heat on the ranks - not to mention the "fire zone".
I've seen them live two times. It's crazy performance and the heat from all the fire is wild
Sounds pretty epic 😅
I had the honour of seeing them live in Coventry last year. Believe me, this is nothing compared to when you see the whole concert. Mein Teil, Puppe, Ich tu dir wei, all of those live make this look like a relaxed tea party. Rammstein are beyond amazing. Their official videos are tremendous too. As you can tell, I am somewhat of a fan of theirs 😊😁
That’s awesome! They definitely put on a performance 😀💜
Wish I'd gone to that, I'm only in Brum, missed it though
@@timthomsonart apparently, the concert could be heard from inside people’s houses 11 miles away 😊😊
@@kalijhawk70 😅
I saw them in Cardiff last year, a few days after they were in Coventry, and that was also amazing and also hella loud. The pyrotechnics were also amazing.
The first time I saw Rammstein, I was towards the back of the crowd and even then I could feel the heat from the pyrotechnics. Last time I saw them, I left with singed eyebrows. :) Definitely high on my list of favorite concerts - they are amazing live.
Aww haha! Sounds like great memories 😀💜
What a cute girl ❤️
Awww, thank you so much for explaining the meaning, I really do appreciate this! 😀💜
Whoa! I didn’t notice the treadmill! Thank you so much! 😀💜
When Rammstein visited Russia way back when, I think, LIFAD was released and they performed "Deutcschland" on stage, there was a joke going like this:
"Rammstein did with music what the german army failed at with weapons in WW2: make russians sing 'Deutschland über alles'"
@@1HammerHaunt1 That's funny!
@@millennialmeetsmusic How did you not notice the treadmill?!
@@ajruther67 First time reacting, it’s hard to see /absorb everything😊

He’s cool! 😀
@@millennialmeetsmusic he is. I love that man. 😁❤️
He's such a sweet guy, really nice and very educated (they all are).
They have done this (fireworks and all) in the UK, so it’s definitely compliant with H&S regs. 🔥 💥
Ahhh nice! 😀💜
Absolutely love your energy! It's literally oozing through the screen and I'm all here for it! More Rammstein reactions pleeease!!
Aww thank you, appreciate your comment! Definitely more to come in the future! 😀💜
It does sound amazing 🥰
When you like fireworks, the live version of Benzin, or the 1997 live performance of the track "Live aus Berlin" are incredible.
It was great wasn’t it 😀
as a die-hard Rammstein fan I've seen loads of reaction videos but yours is seriously one of the best.
I envy you for the experience of discovering the band for you and your reaction is just honest and I had to laugh heartily at your horror.
By the way, I also think your split screen is very successful, I haven't seen it that way either.
Hope to see more Rammstein videos from you.
Thank you for commenting, I really appreciate your feedback! It’s been a really fun journey so far! Here’s to more fun times 😀💜
tiresome, dumb is the 2 word summary
This song was HUGE in the mid/late 90's in the states, despite the fact that none of us understood the language and the internet was too new to have translations. You asked what "Du Hast" means, and we had to go decades without knowing!
Also the stuff on his arms, I think is a gel to protect him from all the pyro.

The huge columns of fire are also real, btw. Only the lightning effects on the keyboard were done in post production.

This band is absolutely amazing live. So many good songs, an excellent stage show. Lots of fire and pyro. It is amazing. Go see them live preferably in an outdoor venue.
Best live band on the planet! Seen them three times and it’s the three best concerts ever. A must see!
It’s sounds awesome! 😀
From what I've researched, the lead singer is also a licensed pyrotechnition. So naturally he fires a fuckin rocket into the crowd that returns and creates the craziest explosion behind him. Amazing.
I could be wrong myself... But I believe the entire band is now licensed for pyrotechnics use...
Rammstein are fantastic live. They also do some unbelievable official videos. Well worth checking out

Great reaction - the look on your face is priceless!
😊 thank you 💜
Such a simple riff can make something sound so badass
our boys didn't waste their time during the epidemic!their new album is just great!!
Be well.
Thank you 😀💜
Till Lindemann, the lead singer is also a certified pyrotechnician. He creates all the "fireworks" displays.
As we say here in Texas; Y'all be safe.
Hope life is treating you well too 😀😀💜
@@millennialmeetsmusic Well you reacting to this got you a new subscriber.
Thank you so much! Rammstein sounds amazing live!
Definitely check out the music video Deutschland by Rammstein.
Thank you 😀💜
This is an absolute master piece in terms of live performance
"Du hast mich gefragt" means "You asked me", but "Du hast mich" can also be understood as "Du hasst mich" which means "You hate me". It is a nice play with word. It is a song about a guy denying a woman wish to marry him.
Rammstein is ALWAYS a great show!!
Thank you for commenting 💜💜
Engel is another Rammstein song you should check out. Especially the live version. You think this show was dangerous with the fireworks, the rig he wears in Engel will blow your mind.
Thank you 😊
I saw them in the UK last year and seeing them again this year. They're amazing live! Throughly enjoyable show and the loveliest fans ever ❤
Du hast mich Gefragt = you have asked me
Du hasst mich = you hate me
Sounds the same though =)
Also, the keyboard player is Flake, which not pronounced in English.
lovely reaction. They are amazing and the fire is very carefully planned with Til being a trained pyro guy (lead singer)

I don't normally like reactors that keep stopping videos but this girl has a lovely vibe
I saw Rammstein LIVE in Cardiff (Wales) in 2005 and they are just awesome !!!
The Chorous is "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt", Meaning "You have asked me and I have said nothing." The whole song is a clever play on German Wedding Vows.
You should definitely check out their performance of Mein Teil during the 2013 Hurricane Festival
Thank you 😀💜
Only Rammstein can bring french people to sing in German!!
They do use fireworks in their UK shows - when they played Coventry in 2022, they could be heard 11 miles away! 🤘🤘
A great reaction to an amazing band. I am lucky to have witnessed them here in Montreal.
Hey 😊💜
Good job girl! I love it!
Nice reacting Becky, I would suggest you follow it up with Engel, it’s a bit like this but on a different theme. There’s also one that’s a bit naughty called Dicke Titten, it’s where Til plays an old blind man who’s looking for company in his old age 😜
Aaaah wicked! Engel has come up a few times! Cool! Thank you 😀💜
Great live band OMG!
You can feel the heat on your face even in the last row.
The band vocalist Till Lindemann is a trained pyrotechnician. He got the degree after one minor accident during one of their performances and it is such an integral part of their whole performance that he decided to be also a professional pyrotechnician. That's why they are able to use these props.

Rammstein are a complete 'whole'
They work together, do their own thing, then come back together.
They are, literally, the last 'Stadium' band.
Rammstein will set people on fire mid-song during their live shows. It's awesome
du hast = you have and
du hasst mich = you hate me

Becky or is it Becci,
Young lady put your seat belt on for this one.
Check out a live performance of their song Freur Frei!
Will see them 5 times live this year. Greatest live band ever 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

I've seen them twice in England. They are the best band live ever. Last time I saw them the opening expolsion was heard 9 miles away.
I saw them live in Cardiff last year, apparently ppl in the surrounding areas were phoning the fire dept thinking the venue was on fire, I was seated all the way at the back and could feel the fire
Haha no way?! 😊💜
37k views already after 7 days. That should tell you the Rammstein fans want more!
Live from Madison Square Garden - Ich Tu Dir Weh, and also the song Engel from there as well
Official music video for Deutschland
Go go!
I enjoyed the performance, I will definitely check out some more. Thank you for commenting 😀
The crazier it gets, the better. Try "Mein Herz Brennt" the Piano version next, that is just scary. "Ich Tu Dir Weh" live from Madison Garden is also great
I'll check it out! Thank you 😀💜
Deutschland is an epic Rammstein song. There are videos of this performed in Moscow, where the audience sings, “Deutschland uber alles”.

Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt
Rammstein - ich Will
Rammstein - Ich tu dir weh
Awww! I didn’t know this. Thank you for sharing 💜💜
