Klavier is dark…and wonderfull…and Tills live performance of this song is from another galaxy…he is not just singer, he is amazing storyteller and I love it…❤ Thank You for this great pick
Tills vocals and the instrumental of this song are just gorgeous. This is from one of my favorite concerts. It is about an intense relationship between a student and his piano teacher that does not end well. I had to look up the meaning. Rammstein songs are often dark, sad, sexual and sometimes funny. They make social/political statements as well. They are complicated lyrics to interpret and I think because they are a German band and as Americans we can lose something in the translation. The culture difference, etc. They certainly aren’t The Beach Boys 😂. I absolutely love them! But I love dark, deep, moody music that is great to rock out to 🔥🤘
It's always interesting to see how people who don't speak German interpret the songs of Rammstein, when even Germans often have a different opinion. I really enjoy following these trains of thought.
Got chills again. Love this song so much. His vocal skills really shine. You're right on with your opinion. I think its one of few Rammstein songs which has a reveal
I heard this interpretation: They were siblings in a family with a brutal father. The room with the piano was the place where they could find a rest and the sister played the piano. When she got older maybe she had a boyfriend and jealously the brother killed her.... However - wonderful spng
The story of obsession told from the point of view of a murderous narcissist. The object of his obsessions is held by him in a room and when she fails to reciprocate his obsessions, disaster befalls her. Once the door is finally opened, he has only concern for himself, how he isn't believed and his his grief ( he no longer has the original object of his obsessions) and the smell of her decomposing body is affecting him. Finally, we're told how she died through Till's words and actions - he began to play but he didn't play the piano, his game was one of strangulation as imitated by Till's hand on his own throat. As always, simply outstanding and a great understanding of the theme from you too. Nice reaction.
