I´m living 40 minutes from where this was filmed (Tyrolia/Austria; bordering Bavaria/Germany) ... this clearly is pure satire playing out (to the fullest) all stereotypes you could link to this area. Partly true, partly established clichee for tourists. Wonderfully cinematic.
Rammstein hat sich aller Klischees der bayrischen wie österreichischen Tradition und Heimatliebe bedient, sie sogar etwas auf die Schippe genommen. Aber ohne sich darüber lustig zu machen! Im Gegenteil, aus meiner Sicht eine wundervolle Hommage an eben diese Klischees / Realität. Die Übersetzung traditioneller Musik und Tänze ins Rockige - einfach gelungen!
Even though it's a funny song, it fits into the melancholic theme of the whole album "Zeit" (time) focusing on the finiteness of life, it's implications and the futile tries to stop or rewind time. There are indeed Rammstein songs without a deeper meaning. Maybe the deeper meaning is not to have a deeper meaning. Reducing the expectations about a person to a single physiological aspect is not acceptable in society (any more) ... so they did it. And musically (at least before the credits) it's a banger (in my humble opinion).
