@@hibitsounds9755 You’re right. I did some test at a venue with RX3 and I recorded the booth output at the same time. It’s louder than the RX2, cleaner, more defined, with a better punchy and defined bass. Whenever recording with an external source, I don’t need as much FX or compression. It just sounds good. Even the internal rec is top quality (although not as loud as using some Apollo or Arrow sound card with some plugins).
*Too many things missing:* - Dedicated Beatjump buttons (instead of track search) - A modern loop control section (its simply archaic) - Censor button with Reverse as shift - Pitch slider with zero LED instead of center click - Pitch slider with 0.01% resolution at +/-4% - Better looking waveforms and GUI - Proper touchscreen (its totally inconsistent) - Aux EQ (single knob would be sufficient) - Midi/Link/DMX/Ableton... all missing - Full track buffering - Key Shift / Sync - Analyzing tracks on the fly - Streaming / WIFI - A SD slot. Why there's only USB? - Price should be $1600 instead of $2000 Hard pass. I stick with my Prime 4!
Denon fanboys are just like the Tesla Fanboys… we get it, you love your Denon and it’s “so much better” than pioneer gear… It’s like the guy that trash talks the other dude hitting on the same girl at a bar… if you were really secure and felt what you had was superior, there is no reason for you to trash talk because the results would speak for themself 😉
I have a problem, I haven't used my XDJ RX2 in over 6 months (due to personal problems) and I can't find the license card that came with it can I still use Rekordbox and if so do I need the latest Rekordbox?
The RX2 is a hardware unlock for Performance Mode in Rekordbox 6, so you just have to download Rekordbox 6 software, and plug the RX2 in to your laptop, and the software will unlock performance mode!
great video, thank you... with the RX2, Please can someone let me know if when you play a track form the USB stick, if it stops after the track is finished or if it automatically plays the next track? Thanks!
Hey man i bought ddj 400 the other day downloaded djay algoriddim to use through android but no sound doesnt seem to come out but its use controller can see it working on phone just know sound. As you can tell total newbie 🤣hope you can shed some light 🤦♂️👍 merry 🎄
I think all these "updates" are negligible. Who need all those effects you'll never going to use? The most used effects are also on the rx1 and rx2... Also the huge screen is a gimmick, you dont mix with your eyes, you mix with your ears. Keep your eyes on the crowd, not on your screen ✌️ I would go for the rx2 or Prime 2 (no need for analysing your tracks).
I have the RX1 and it's perfect for what i need it for. However, my only gripe also on the RX2 and sadly the RX3 is the piss poor 2 'high' and 'low' tone dials for the microphone. These are very limited and IMO sound poor compared to the 3 full EQ bass, middle and treble dials that Pioneer used on all their DJM mixers which i find strange why the RX units don't have them. I imagine these units are marketed for and used alot by Djs who like myself actually have the talent and ability (ouch) to use a microphone and i personally find it annoying as other than that it's a fantastic unit. (it's only one extra dial man but makes all the difference!!)
Still has nothing over the Prime 4 except for that annoying “club standard argument” which is so old and tiring for a DJ who can play on anything. Not enough innovation to warrant their price tags.
best djing is done buy ear. that huge screen puts me the fuck off. I do get that the track preview is a great feature and saving effect parameters as well, its also nice that every hardware button is now illuminated but ehh I went for the rx2 instead of this monster. screens will always make your brain want to look at them, good for netflix not ideal for djing.
@@jamesslaven4103 That's a bit harsh as he does have a point. I only use the screen for track searching and never use the display in wave form or go by the BPMs displayed. Yes it can be easier but most of the fun is had when just relying on your ears I first started on 1200s and yes it's by far the hardest format to beat mix on but that doesn't make it a doddle to do it on Pioneer kit.
Would love to see a good review of the rr vs the rx3
Nice review. I would like to know the sound quality difference on the main XLR’s.
Same here, rx2 was sounding way far from cdj2000nxs2 for example. Its main issue in that unit.
Sound is much better than the rx2 , i own both

yeah the rx2 sound isn't that great. but then again it's not as if the rx2 is made for audiophiles 🤷
at least I wasn't the only one who thought the rx2 really sounded like crap

What is the main advantage of the RX line over Denon Prime 2 and 4?
Can you set it so when browsing your library, you can see the song title, artist name, and bpm all at once?

No, that’s for Rekordbox 5 en now we have 6. You can’t bring the license from 5 to 6.

you can change in the menus - go to Autoplay mode
As luan said, autoplay will enable this!
Can you use streaming service libraries via WiFi?
The RX3 doesn't have WIFI built in unfortunately!
hello, is it possible to have the same views as cdj 3000 on xdj rx3, artist, title, bpm greetings
Superb video
Thanks! Don't forget to sub for more!

This is a Bershka tee, it's not available any more though!

that program is not compatible with pioneer, they phased that out about 3 years ago roughly
Considering switching from my Denon Prime 2 (for club-parity) but in all honesty Pioneer are playing catch-up, as always. It's really frustrating.
Pretty nice - I like the compact size.
Compact size of the jogwheels? Or the whole controller?
prime 2 all the way!
Thanks for your comment. What's your favourite feature of the Prime 2 that the RX3 doesn't have?
Wifi, onboard analysis.... definitely Prime 2 ✌️

I can tell you feel very strongly about this! 😂 Do you use the mid range EQ on your mic a lot?

tbh that cue link button in the mixer looks like a mole in the face...

Fair point AJ (and his Dad). The Prime 4 is a completely different beast.
