so good to see a reaction that isn't paused every 5 seconds for some commentary. good night Austen Texas wherever you arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre.
Live versions of this are always great if you want to find some footage for yourself to watch. I saw him do this in the mid-to-late 70's where he'd finish shows with this and it always KILLED!
I have a tattoo on my right arm that says ZAPPA!!!!! It was a helluva party, Woke up with a ZAPPA TAT!!!!! AT LEAST IT DIDN'T SAY BOY GEORGE OR SOMETHING!!!!!🤣
This is the 1st Frank tune I ever heard, 1977, 9th grade at BB practice. Someone played it on a boom box; it stopped the whole practice . No one had ever heard anything like this before!
You wanna hear some great stories? "Dina Moe Hum" "Stinkfoot" "Advanced Romance" "Willy the Pimp" "Billy the Mountain" "She's Two Hundred Years Old" "Debra Kadabra" and the list goes on...
one of Zappa's best imo, there's a great live concert version of this on YT, Frank was one of thE best guitarists ever. Check out watermelon in easter hay.
Love seeing all the Zappa - he was a unique and amazing artist. If you're up for reacting to a whole concert film, I heartily recommend Baby Snakes for a night of epic performances plus on- and off-stage silliness :-D
Terry Bozzio and Frank kill it on this song. Terry was in a band Missing Persons with his wife Dale. Frank discovered them and gave them their start in music. You should check them out. Words...Walking in L.A...Destination Unkown...their great band too. She's wild.
You earned a like and a subscription my fellow music lover!! My dad just passed away on Saturday 8/28/21 and I’m so happy he introduced me to Zappa!! Try listening to Montana, Tina Turner and The Ikettes did the background vocals.
I’m loving all this Zappa, I used to own 45+ Zappa CD’s, until my ex stole them. If you get a chance, check out Stevies Spank live with Steve Vai, it’s excellent.
Zappa was not only THE GOAT on guitar, he was a composer, lyricist, humorist and activist. He went toe-to-toe against Tipper Gore (Al Gore's wife) when she was trying to censor lyrics and other forms of art under the PMRC banner (Parents Music Resource Center). Thanks to Tipper, we have "Parental Advisory Explicit Lyrics" stickers on albums and CDs. Turns out, that did more to PROMOTE music with explicit lyrics than it did to prevent sales. The majority of those stickers were slapped onto Rap records, which almost always guaranteed high volume sales. You simply didn't buy an album that didn't have a warning label on it. No cred.
Sadly, you can only see his son Dweezil play his stuff live as it was, Frank passed away from cancer in the 90's. Lots of Frank material on tape, thankfully, he seemingly recorded everything everyday. It would take you quite a long time to react to it all, years probably. A fun project?
Despite his wild lyrics, Zappa was very much against the use of drugs, especially by his band members. His drug of choice was highly caffeinated coffee.
I love caffeine !!! If your feeling tired or groggy it sharpens you up so much instantly and most importantly it speeds up your thinking process and you can make decisions faster why would you not want to be sharp
@@surfmonkey573 Too bad it didn't help with his prostrate cancer. There is a study that shows drinking 6 or more cups a day reduces your chances of dying of prostrate cancer by 20 percent.
I'm tellin' you. You'll love his song "why does it hurt when I pee?" if you've been diggin' the Zappa tracks. Watchin' these reactions brightens up a boring work day, thanks! This is a great version to react to. ruclips.net/video/3vmPwZT-9zY/видео.html
Terry Bozzio’s drumming is such a joy!
So dynamic and precise, and so many amazing little fills... Zappa always had fantastic drummers but I think Bozzio was my favorite
Fav. version of Muffin M.
“Good night Austin Texas wherever you are! “

Ha Ha I haven't heard this song for ages, thank's again
Jimmy Carl Black ,one of Frank's drummer's started a band in the late 70s early 80s called the Grandmother's of Inventions in Austin Texas
The great grandmother of epic riffs, absurdities and juicy mean guitar solos. Loved your reaction; thanks!
The last time I saw him in concert, he closed with this song.
One day you gotta listen to a whole album in one go.
Facts lol I already know family
Burnt Weenie Sandwich DEMANDS your attention!
Baby Snakes is an excellent concert film that captures the 70's Zappa concert experience... Keep following that rabbit...

Got to love the drums.
Muffin Man, one of my favorites. Check out Illinois Enema Bandit, live in NY.

Oh my God pretty much sums up Zappa guitar solo

At the Dweezle shows, the MUFFIN MAN IS THE MOST REQUESTED ENCORE SOMG 👍
I love how he cant keep from laughing.
I also love how he kept his blooper and laughter in the recording (and added a sound-effect yet).
Frank Zappa was one of the Earth's finest ingredients.
I've had this song stuck in my head since you started reacting to Zappa!

Listening to "One Size Fits All" on mushrooms is an experience I'd highly recommend.
Nice hat 👍
Give Pojama People a try. From One Size Fits All.
Yah, I was way too mainstream for Zappa. I can dig it now. Obviously very talented.
Only one Frank in the world. His axe is just mindblowing. He was meant to show how how to handle this tool.
Yessur
Finally.

BLM. Fama la tenía clar. Un grande!
GOOD NIGHT AUSTIN TEXAS WHEREVER YOU ARE
Hey Teez, I guess you've heard by now that Frank died in 1993. Keep discovering and spreading his genius.
Love the vids if you ever get a chance you should react t some more primus. They have some crazy music videos to react to.
I’m loving all this Zappa, I used to own 45+ Zappa CD’s, until my ex stole them.

You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore Volume Four? the blue cover? ten minutes? it’s AMAZING!
Please react to Rubric by Philip Glass. It's incredible. :)
He was the best guitar player
Is this a genius? No thank you, hahahaha, hahahaha 🤣

some people prefer cupcakes exclusively. I, for one, care less for them
How can you go back to Kansas after hearing Zappa?
Muffins are superior to cupcakes.
Tied to the WHIPPING post is a must listen. It's as good as this song, trust me bro!!!!!
