Stand up American? HE IS A DRAFT DODGER just like his hero the orange madman. Probably why he loved Trump so much, when their country called they both RAN. That doesn't seem like a stand up American to me. Running off at the mouth doesn't mean shit. When your country calls you GO and if you don't then THAT says all there is to say. As a guitar player I love Nugent but as a human being he is retched. A disgrace. Certainly not a stand up American.

Guys I’m 60, First things First. Teddy can Play that guitar. He was known as the Motor City Madman. Because he hails from Detroit. He’s never used Drugs nor Does he Drink. Sex was his drug. I saw him in 79 at the peak of his career. He literally jumped off a hugs stack of Marshall Amps, while playing. And didn’t miss a note. Lastly I’m a former Marine. He does lots shows for us when deployed. The chopper pilots would crank Stranglehold whenever they were dropping us in.

once I went to a doctor for some unusual muscle pain, the doctor asked me if I owned a cat, I said yes. Imagine my surprise when he told me I had cat scratch disease. You get it from being scratched by a kitten. It was no big deal he just gave me a prescription for some antibiotic and it was fine.

Cat Scratch Fever is a reference to when a woman scratches a man's back during sex . The album cover is a dead give away. So it the live version of the song.

At least you know Ted never sang! But he DOES BLOW libs away with facts and statistics and included informing me PETA kills more living creatures than carnivores (I'm sure RUclips will delete this as "misinformation")

Ted's then wife, was reading a medical book from the 1800's I believe. In it she showed Ted a disease called "Cat Scratch Fever". Ted loved that title so much, he wrote this song, and put his own spin on it.

Ted went on to form a super-band you guys should give a listen to.
Damn Yankees featured Ted Nugent on lead guitar, Tommy Shaw (of Styx "Renegade" fame) on vocal and guitar, and Jack Blades of Night Ranger on vocals and bass. Really exciting band.
""High Enough" and "Come Again" are well worth the listen.

Love the song and the reaction. Cat scratch fever IS a real thing. Pretty uncommon though. And it's most commonly transmitted to humans by the bite or scratch of an infected animal (cat). However, it could also happen if the animal hisses or spits and its saliva gets in your eye or through a skin break. Its symptoms are usually mild but have been quite serious, particularly for one whose immune system's compromised. Peace!
