I got this one last fall, got some nato straps for it to try out and this price didn’t disappoint. It looks stunning on everything you throw on it. Really a stunner.
The Tudor GMT Pepsi is an outstanding watch. Very good looking, well-built, and its accuracy is unbelievably precise. Most days are 0 seconds + - . Looks very elegant on the Tudor leather strap with Tudor shield buckle as well. Definitely one of Rolex's best watches.
This particular watch can stand up to any tool watch by Rolex. It is a very cool looking GMT. Best bang for your buck. The reason I know this, is because I have subs and deepsea and this watch is beautiful.
Agreed. I have had nothing else in rotation since getting this.i was looking to get a mid 80s gmt master II this year but just haven’t even bothered. And such a steal too at 3k ! I love the marine nationale and all the history that Tudor have and it’s funny I spent my teens and 20s lusting after Rolex and now find my self going after the pieces from Tudor as they just seem to have that tool watch feel I admired growing up. I have access to the sport models with little to no wait list but in the last year the magic seems to have moved more to Tudor than Rolex for me personally
@@kerrtattoo230 I Agree completely, love tool watches, time though for me not to have a rotation, time for me to create memories with one tool watch, where I can say I have worn the same watch since 2020 etc. ..the tough part is do I like Stainless all the time, or should I put tool watch on nato or waterborne dive band.....
I love the heft and wrist presence of the gmt . My favourite even over watches from the big “R” I was going to get the Pelagos the same day on a whim but for me the titanium just made it feel flimsy and the Matt dial looked very cheap
Great review..I bought mine 2weeks ago its a good fit and very comfortable. The thickness is not an issue fits under my shirt cuff. The omega planet ocean gmt is 17. The valjue movement in my Hamilton panda makes that a thick watch too so I see it as average size..unless you have "girly wrist"
Good review thanks. Had my BB 58 on the bracelet for a month now.Perfect for my skinny 165 wrist . It's beautiful, accurate to +2 secs a day and comfortable. Happy with the hardly noticeable rivets and all the design nods to the old pieces.
I had a rolex gmt 2 in the 90s, it never never kept good time, it went back to rolex three times, it was my grail watch and I told the AD to keep it. I just bought the tudor gmt... sometimes the best watch just is the best watch.
I too, am getting one of these! I was all set to get an omega but then I found this one. I always thought tudors were a bit.....bland to me. Maybe other than the pelagos. But this is not! It will be to my house this upcoming week!
I really want to get one of these, but am concerned about the size even on my 7.5" wrist. If it were the BB58 size, I wouldn't even hesitate. May still have to give it a shot. (Not like it would be difficult to sell if I didn't jive with it)
I recommend going to try on a standard Black Bay for size (as they are almost identical to the GMT and ADs will usually have one you can try). The case is definitely chunky but it doesn't wear nearly as big as you might think. I have a 6.25 inch wrist and although I wouldn't go any bigger, it still worked for me.
I have just bought the BB58 and it is a perfect size. I would like to get the GMT as well, but just have to check it out again for size. It is on the larger side, but perhaps the additional functionality helps to justify that. I tried it on the nato.
Isn’t the omega speedy like 15.5? And the omega planet ocean like 15.5 up to 17? I don’t believe this watch is too thick at all for one with a fully in house movement which is also a full GMT. 14.5 actually isn’t as bad as it could be.
ROLEX IS KING- But man is this watch gorgeous at a shockingly amazing affordable price. Basically - the more affordable "Pepsi" from the King's little brother - TUDOR. $ 3,950.00 TUDOR RETAIL VS $ 9,250.00 ROLEX RETAIL for the GMT MASTER II "Pepsi" (impossible to get) - $ $18,500.00 (Grey Market)……. I want both to be honest lol......
Brandon Chang It's a bit strange that you appear on all RUclips channels saying that in Tudor they are not able to solve the date issue . All those who had it, the Tudor service has solved it under the warranty and yours had to be manufactured on Mars because there is not solution...very strange.
Hi Watch Gecko, which watch should be my next? Timex Marlin 34mm Handwind (on a Gekota Vintage Leather Strap) or a Junghans Max Bill 34mm Handwind? Hope you can offer your opinion on the two watches
Unfortunately the Tudor GMT has been plagued with issues . The Date function skips - and there are owners who have sent their watches back multiple times to get it fixed. We hear there is finally a fix - but I am not sure yet. I have one on order and it is making me wary.
I am leaning HEAVILY toward getting a 4 month old one of these. I believe I will pull the trigger this upcoming Monday (Saturday now). The date thing worries me a bit. I do know it’s usually a 4 week or so turn around time. So it’s not terrible. I would try to get one that’s dated w in the past few months. A ton of them didn’t have the date problem too.....such a beautiful watch
Good review of a very nice watch, but you are right, it is too thick, and you either love or hate the snowflake hands. As for , "Doesn't provide a homage feeling", are we looking at the same watch? Finally, the value is debatable at nearly 4K. When you pay thousands for a watch it truly needs to be something special. If I was in the market for this design I would keep the 4K in my pocket and continue to save until I ran into a pre-owned GMT Master in decent condition. Yes, it cost much more, but now you are talking special!
It's a nice watch, but I passed on buying one after seeing the aluminum bezel - the scratches I would put on it within a few months would irritate me too much. Make it a ceramic bezel, just like Seiko did with the MarineMaster300 (SLA021) - which I bought, and I'll buy the Tudor BB GMT.
I have the first gen BB with red bezel and ETA movement, and it is just beautiful. But I really don't know if it's the wearer in this video, or if the watch just seems bigger. It looks HUGE. I wish they do a 39mm version in the future.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I have the black bay red ETA and thought about selling it to get this or the black bay 58. I have a 6.5 wrist, think I could wear this or should I go for the 58?
Seems like it's still hard to get from ADs. Outstanding piece but I don't like how the caseback gets so badly scratched from rubbing against the bracelet or clasp.
Comparing to the original BB diver, the hour indexes are smaller and this makes it less attractive to the eye than the BB diver. For me as a BB DIVER owner it was a deal breaker reason.

Sorry but this is not a dependable watch. Rolex screwed up the date wheel on this one and sending it back to them is no guarantee of a fix either.
