This sound track is the Creme de la Creme of History. I've never in my lifetime heard anything that's better. I'm now 59years and still fit, I dance to these songs everyday, which also keeps me fit.
Ditto! I’m listening now and am just in heaven!! My childhood memories are flooding back like a rushing river, safe, gleeful joy and innocence. Thank you
What you are saying is that the late BURT BACHARACH was a genius when you still remember every note of every song! BURT R.I.P. and thank you so much for all the great songs!
From 11:30 onwards, South American Getaway is the original version with Sally Stevens on lead soprano, not to be confused with another version on Masa249978's channel by London Music Works, who recreate film music. This music is actually tough to sing with accuracy, making every note, particularly for the male voices. What I love especialy about Sally's version here is not just her high-note accuracy but her little blue saxophone-style slides into some of the lower notes. Think ''bwah'. Gorgeous, intelligent singing.Reduces me to tears of joy, honestly!
Great information, sounds like you have some inside knowledge. Is there any background about the "Sundance Kid" track, why was it not used in the film, and maybe what it was originally intended for?
I love this stuff. It keeps popping up in my head over the years so I pull out the vinyl and play it. If my wife asked me what is this daba daba daba dabada? What are they singing? I love it.

Love the movie - except for the sugary, folksy, dated pop music. South American Getaway is probably the worst cue, but none of the score and song interludes, including Raindrops, have aged well at all. It's all as incongruous as Count Bassie serenading the newly-minted Sheriff Bart in Blazing Saddles, except that was MEANT to be funny and actually somehow fit. The rest of the movie is a wonderful fusion of fine acting, directing and screen writing. A shame about the music.
I really loved the music of this movie, however I would critique the length of the montages. All of them, especially the NY City scene, were too long. The music still gets a mood across to the audience. For instance, the South American Getaway feels whimsical and tropical while switching between fast paced action and moments of recovery. It perfectly captures the mood of the characters as they adventure in Bolivia.
I never understood ehy this score won the Oscar. We had the amazing On Her Majesty´s Secret Service , the best Bond score ever ( also not nominated). This score here, has less than 15 minutes and still won. Terrible decision of the academy.
One of my favourite movies and soundtracks. Burt Bacharach at his finest.
Timeless beauty. One of my favorite soundtracks ever.

Eu também. Muitas saudades@@pauljohnmorales1840
The most brilliant and original composer in the world -- Burt Bacharach.
A great film with an outstanding soundtrack!! I first watched it as a child and recently enjoyed it with my wide-eyed curly grandson!! Bliss!!
the soundtrack is perfect for the movie ,just as the movie is perfect for the soundtrack. both classics.
😊South American Getaway is fantastic.
One of my all time favourite films with wonderful music.
Those who interrupt 15 minutes of Burt Bacharach music 3 times with ads deserve a special place in hell.
I Agree...
RIP Burt
I agree totally with you but RUclips has to make a living. I recommend a $12 RUclips premium package. It is SO worth it.
Lol
Perhaps....you cannot enter paradise without them....maybe you could forgive what didn't occur
Musica meravigliosa del grandissimo Burt Bacharach, degna di un bellissimo film con due straordinari attori.
Great movie and great melodies like South American Getaway......
I was 12. Haven't heard this since then. But I remember every note of every song.
Amen.

Just love this soundtrack-brings back so many memories
O Lord, I love this soundtrack so much I've asked for it for Christmas.
Two of the most charismatic actors in history
Beautiful music! Thanks for posting
Ti sia lieve la terra, Maestro!
RIP Burt Bacharach

Thank you! I love that first song. It brings back such good memories
Absolutely brilliant! Childhood memories and beyond :-)
Beautiful ❤
In a word ...." Perfect".
Nuff said.
Butch, I love you and your music! We love you. Keep up the good work,... the robberies, we mean. Anonymous
For two old outlaws who outstayed their welcome in this world, this is a nice theme for their last fling.
SO BEAUTIFUL
I love this soundtrack! I thought I remembered that there were words to the song "Not Goin' Home Anymore" Anyone?
Most charismatic cast ever.
苦しい薄汚れた日々の生活の中にこんなポップなリズムを軽やかに明朗に奏でている映画があるんだっていうのが私にはささやかながら有難い思いだ。
Oh yes , ... i would say the same !
Love it

💯 then and now.
I saw the movie, bought a cassette of the soundtrack. Anyone remember cassettes ?
Those of us who do tend not to use RUclips much because of the nonsense we find here that we didn't have when cassettes were popular.
I remember Cassettes all to well.
RIP Burt

11:35 the song I was looking for...
South American Getaway is really a great melody......
It sounds like anton Garcia abril. Look up Sol Citroen or El tourismo grande, they sound super similar and really good
Me too... for A long time...
How romantic!
Super movie
Not going home 🏠
❤🤠
#1
Keep it Alive, Oliver ...
Fez corte na música antes dela terminar...not going home anymore
What about HAL DAVID?

I actually really liked the music. If the music hadn't been there the montages would have been difficult to get through

O filme é mais lembrado exatamente pelas músicas e você criticando a trilha sonora. Sem comentários!!!!!
@@leandrocerqueira9910 provavelmente não entende de música. Por isso não consegue entender nada.
Real nice movie cept for the very end don’t really watch that ha...great soundtrack but South American getaway is something else!!!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🐘🦏🦍🐼🐬🐅🦖
