I agree with the cheat meal take, Cheat meals set you back for many days.
cheat meals every now and then don't set you back. Cheat days set you back centuries
it only sets you back if you go overboard on the calories if you have a cheat meal and still stay in a calorie deficit you will be fine just make sure you have enough will power to not have 2 cheat meals in one day lol
This is one of the simplest, yet very insightful videos I’ve ever seen on RUclips. 👏
Good and straight forward video! I am a 55yr old woman and this is how I eat. Meat (mostly red meat), eggs, cheese, fruit and Kimchi or sauerkraut. That's it! Same sh*t everyday and I actually love it! A steak makes my eyes roll in the back of my head! I crave this food now!
Im 18 years of age and would love to eat steak everyday but im quite scared considering my family's history with gout 🗿 I would absolutely go carnivore though if gout didnt exist
I agree with the cheat day part, ever since I started eating healthier my cravings for anything processed and mass produced decreased drastically. Food actually seems so fulfilling nowadays because of it and overall my mental and physical health has been better because of my diet
so glad it happens to work this way and it all aligns, such a health cheat code tbh
Don’t know how this got recommended to me a year after it came out but I really needed to hear your personal journey and advice. Thanks for sharing.
Very underrated. keep going. i learned so many things from you🔥
appreciate the support
that was exactly what i was thinking. very unrated video. very well put together and delivery of information. i heard all this before from so many other videos, but this was definitely the best video. good job Timothy, keep it up.
Needed this, no bull… just simple and sweet. Thank uuuuu
I like your take on tracking protein/cals. Being that meticulous about it can cause a lot of stress and potentially cause burnout
Dude I’m impressed, great job bro!
Quality video, this is the best overall video on nutrition that I've seen
You look so good and I love how relatable and informative this video is.
I struggle with epilepsy, and as a result of all the medicine (depakote, lacosamide) over the years I gained a fair amount of weight. During a seizure I injured my neck. I am wheelchair bound and gained a lot more weight. I'm almost walking again and need to lose weight. This video is very insightful and inspiring. With your advice, maybe I will be below 200 lbs again by the time I turn 20, but if not, thats ok I will get there. Great video.
that's impressive asf, keep up the good work, you'll get there for sure
I literally just watched the episode with Giles Yeo on the Diary of a CEO youtube channel and he mentioned strict keto being helpful for people with epilepsy. I'm hoping i didn't misinterpret it but i recommend checking out that episode anyway!

Great vid man
I never thought to think of not liking what I see in the mirror in a positive way. That actually does change it up in my mind a lot and takes a weight off.
Awesome video bro, great information!
F love this shit, no bs, straight to the point, thanks Bruh Tim, appreciate it
5:59 170g protein per what? Per day? Per meal?
easily one of the most informative videos Ive watched in youtube, thanks brother
Hey man I took away a few good tips from your video and I think that you definitely deserve more views! I totally agree on your point that just because caloreis are the same doesn’t mean that they are as healthy but I do think you were wrong when you said that diet soda is so bad that we can’t drink it
I was at the same spot as you were, almost exact looking body haha, kept wanting to go way too low and then found myself going crazy on the peanut butter, eating the entire jar, I finally just started allowing myself to eat more, I restrict myself way less, I just do intermittent fast, and I eat whenever I want in a certain time frame while counting my calories approximately (low-carb, high protein, high fats) and I do cardio which I found just boosts my fat burn, also had started taking omega 3 supplements and for some reason while on it, my hunger is way lower, not sure why, but I'm not complaining. I'm finally in those final stages, getting close to my end goal, and actually feel pretty good in my body at the moment. My big turning point was when I had a 1-week-long insane binge but every day of that week I was doing cardio burning 1500 cal daily, I found myself actually leaner than before after all that binging and that's when I realized I had been doing it wrong.
i’ve been doing this unintentionally for 2 months after like 2 years of trying different things and it’s the only thing that’s worked for me… i’m down 17lb in 2 months, I think whey protein was a big factor in what was holding me back, i never realized how groggy and bloated it made me feel… and i couldn’t agree more about enjoying a nice bowl of blue berries like…. it’s crazy how much better i feel day-to-day
Hi Tim, could you show us how to prepare your meals? Would help a lot. Thank you and more power to your channel!
Can you record a what I eat in a day video? Like what do you eat for breakfast? Do you snack at all? How many calories are you actually consuming?
Quality vid as always brother! Keep it up 👊🏻
appreciate the support brotha hope you're doing well 🤝
Needed this one thanks
Needed this it’s time for a cut

I want to be lean and healthy but I also know that being fat doesn’t always equate to being ugly and unhealthy. There are a lot of “fat” people who seem big but are actually fit and healthy, or have underlying issues and illnesses that are beyond their control. I think this viewpoint helped me a lot understanding my body, and less judgy on what I see myself and other people.
Always interesting looking at different fitness videos, always some good points to take away and reminders, but most have some pseudo science / fear mongering mixed in (looking at fear of diet soda when they don’t do anything detrimental).
Still great to watch many videos and get different perspectives, appreciate the video even if I’m a year late!
I’m so glad you’ve pointed out that Vegan diet isn’t this perfectly healthy diet that is just a magic cure to weight loss. News flash, we’re omnivores. Some people do fine on it but most people suffer major consequences on it. Thank you for your video! ❤️
for carbs i also recommend anything whole grain, stuff like oats and whole grain bread are made up of more complex carbohydrates that will keep you more satiated since your body needs more time to break them down so those are also healthy options
I track macros and I still eat white rice lol I think if people are able to, I highly recommend intermittent fasting because you can eat more calories later in the day. I work from home so I just drink coffee and walk during my lunch break because you can always make food when you are working on something lol
nice vid bro, keep going. Now drop your exercise routine pls.
comin soon
This is what I did. You make great content
Great video!
This video helped a lot !thank you
extremely helpful video
Salmon and steak are literally my cheat meals
do you use spices?
Count Calories, intermittent fasting, and BE PATIENT. People remember them only being fat and not the time it took to get to that weight. Getting to that weight doesn't happen overnight and depending on how long you were fat you probably can't remember the last time you were skinny to that fat timeline. Mostly it would take about 2-3x the amount of time you put on to take it off.
So 7 months later, has this been sustainable?
watch the triglyceride levels with too much HIGH sugar fruit. opt for brown rice or sweet potato in between as a carb source. good call out on fairlife as well. acesulf and carrageenan are very bad for gut health
Share your macros and some dinner meal's
The food on the right in 3:16 looks fire! What is that?
Wait then I have question regarding milk and dairy. Is a no go on it ? Are there any negatives with consumption of it ?
Depends how u tolerate dairy, good quality dairy/yogurt/cheese is very nutritious and a net positive if ur body tolerates it well & it doesn’t make u break out
i agree with the majority of this but imo and this is just me a essential part of my weight loss was those 0 calorie drinks like coke zero or sugar free monsters (which were the main 2 i drunk while loosing weight) i think that as long as your water intake is good enough they do help suppress craving for sweet things and are helpful in the long run especially as someone who is affected by the appetite suppressing qualities of caffeine it was super helpful 😊
agree, he mixes health and weightloss but they arent necessarily the same. alls that matters is keeping your protein high and calories low. HOW you get those in isn't super important but I think he found it easier to be hyper-aware of everything he was eating, so he switched to things like grass-fed meats even though those arent completely necessary.
Besides diet, do you also include exercise to your routine? if yes can you drop your workout plan/routine? Thanks!
Great video! I'm trying to lose 20 lbs
you got it bro I believe in u
@@timhu69 Appreciate you! 🙏💯
I agree with Korean barbeque as a cheat meal!
I'll give the 1 lb grass fed beef with fruits and vegetables a try for my dinner this week
5:25 scared the shi out of me
ok so let’s say u only workout 3x a week and those 4 days, do i still need to get my exact protein intake? i heard too much protein can also cause weight gain
That s exactly howI maintain my constant weight since high school
By eating loads of Fruits ! Apple, pomegranate, pomelo, kiwi, all berries, pears. And for high temperature only cooking with sesame oil, very stable.
Also don t sleep on some vegetables like bitter cucumbers, black radish, panais
And a bunch of aromatic herbs not just a few leaves.
It s easier since I live in France where organic foods are not that expensive and high quality
Anyone have a good way or app to use to track every mineral, vitamin, and nutrient??
just to clarify, does that mean you're buying like 15-20 pounds of groundbeef each week?
~10 lb per week usually with other meals here and there, I'm also 6'1" and ~180 so I eat a lot
I lost like 20 pounds and I resorted to cheat meals, but i would do to big of cheat meals and its wasn't smart
Nice video 👍🏽
What are ya’ll recommendations for carbs besides rice and potatoes?
In my country blueberries are very rare and expensive. Any other fruit suggestions?
Thx goat 🐐 ❤
hey man i weigh bout 154pounds at around 5'8 but I'm wondering what my protein goal is to have an aesthetic build i guess? I've been eating better like 6 eggs (30 grams) (then 9 slices of turkey also 30 grams of protein) then 20 grams of whole wheat bread so 4 slices then a 50-60 protein shake and that's about my meals for the day as i typically only eat about one or two things a day to feel entirely full back before i decided to cook for myself any suggestions?
i love fruit, and it is objectively more nutritious, but what about the high fructose content?
What about brown rice instead of white rice?
the moment you mentioned seed oil gibberish, I lost you man
i drink coke zero probably almost daily, i don't think i have an "addiction" per se but i think i kind of depend on it to help with many addictions. for example i was VERY VERY VERY addicted (and still sort of am but i have it under control) to spicy chips. they are 100% terrible for you, no matter what you say "oh well its just one serving", nuh uh, you won't just want ONE serving. anyways, i dont want to get into coffee to help get off drinking coke zero because i've heard if you drink coffee in the morning it could stop your body from burning fat the whole day instead of if you were to just fast in the morning, any idea?
So what's the time difference between the two pics or the start of diet to the second pic? TIA
YOU REALLY THINK YOU WERE FAT??? You were a little chubby and i dont knock your hustle by getting healthier, but i sense some “Perfect Syndrome” You are a beautiful person. Please dont be afraid to talk to a professional about the guilt for being being chubby. ❤
Can you share some of your food recipe🙏
Or maybe some grocery shopping vlog
how many meals per day do you have if I may ask?
How to know goal body weight?
Time stamps missing 😢
So, you just eat that and don't work out and you got lean?
I’m sort of skinny but have some muscle, (I kind of look like the lean photo) but I think I eat to much sugar and processed food. Should I do something similar to your diet but add in carbs so I don’t become a stick figure?
Where do you get your beef from
I’d rather have Coke Zero than coffee lmao, some people don’t metabolize coffee well and I’m one of them so something like Sprite Zero is much better than coffee for me (and Coke Zero has much lesser caffeine than coffee)
ngl i dont agree with trying to avoid rice, obv yes you shouldn't eat a lot of it, but rice itself with meals isn't that bad even if you eat it consistently. carbs itself is a myth of being bad, processed carbs are bad. In south asia, obesity is a bit high due to their fat/protein meals, but in east asia the protein is very different and a lot of people are skinny in general, both regions have a high amount of rice in a lot of meals.
Also for protein shakes, they should ideally be used as emergency meal replacements, a lot of people say to try and eat protein bars/shakes directly after a workout but a more important things is eating meals throughout the day if you are working out, the protein bars/shakes after a workout is a lot less important than people think.
loved the video otherwise though
My body looks somewhat similar to your first photo (skinny fat but bmi is normal). Should I still cut?
lean bulk, adding more muscle will increase your base metabolism and make it easier for you to get lean
nice video
You looked great
Great video. What happened to your necklace? It just disappeared after a few seconds :D
Meat and fruit
Thank you~
Toned* you were already lean
no? he has the same amount of muscle. he just lost weight. he "toned" his face. yup. smart
White rice is not “unprocessed” 😁
my secret to being lean is poverty
Calories and macros
great video, but the first 2 minutes is wild. please do not promote body dysmorphia by telling people its a good thing they don't like how they look fat. this is quite literally the primary cause of anorexia which is by far the deadliest mental illness worldwide.
had to pick up my jaw from the floor omg
Pls stop calling yourself fat… your before picture was a healthy bmi… fat means obese
I agree he wasnt even "fat" in those photos or obese or even overweight looking.
If he was raised Chinese, which I assume he was, the definition is different. What is deemed chubby to Westerners is considered fat in Chinese culture. It might have to do with the language too, because there's no word for chubby. The Chinese word for fat also doesn't carry the same level of negativity as in English.
When Chinese people call something obese, there's a different term for that, and that term is insulting.
Thats considered fat? HELP?????!!!!
w
I cannot completely agree w you bc looking at yourself in the mirror and feeling that your body looks pretty bad is not something healthy for your mind, even though you acknowledge that for sure you definitely want to change; many ppl just don't have the tools to start loosing weight in a realistic and sustainable way. So feeling bad in front of the mirror is not something good to me. I can asure you that 99% of the people with overweigh looking themself on the mirror are feeling terrible. To me the fact that you are saying that this is good is so shocking. I can definitely understand your point. But you should be more careful.
Btw Great Change!
Hate to say it but, this is a prime example of why you shouldn’t listen to everything on the internet. He’s basically saying if you want to get lean, buy the most expensive high end product out there, which isn’t true at all. This may matter for like 1% of athletes but overall that’s not affecting you as much as he is describing. This how the mindset of anorexic person begins. Cheat meals once in a while is okay, store bought salmon is perfectly fine but most importantly eating healthy and getting exercise. The brand or how it’s raised is not the limiting factor to get the physique you desire.
lean? where? still average
Stop projecting
Is there a diet to change ur eyebrows tho 😂😂
switch that beef out for something like chicken. red meat every day is not good for your health
That’s a myth.
Lies red meat is the best for nutrition
red meat is the number 1 superfood. you’ll see one day
You have been brainwashed
@@truthtelleranon Red meats are high in saturated fats, which can cause elevated levels of LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and put you at risk for cardiovascular disease.
THERE IS NOTHING SUPER ABOUT THAT!!
subhanallah
No offense bro but even in the after it’s not giving the model physique u showed 😭
Genesis 1:29-31
nah this isnt it
