- At first I was hesitant, but in the end, I was so impressed by Qantas domestic A330-200 business class! What a joy for the short three-hour ride from Perth to Melbourne.

When I flew Business from Hong Kong to Brisbane on a Qantas 787, the idea of the lighter food is so that you can sleep better for an overnight flight. During these flights you can ask for more food throughout.

I’m not surprised about the whole crew being casual thing, it is a distinctly Australian trait that we are just super casual.
I always love flying with QANTAS and I always love that it has such an iconic brand. Also it’s not surprising that that flight is really expensive, the main people that would fly it would be the mining business people and members of parliament etc.
Love this! So glad you finally got to come to Australia, and fly our national carrier. Us Aussies are super proud, and pleased you really enjoyed it 🙂

Sam Chui isn't always honest. Nonstop Dan is the best trip reporter by far and he doesn't have to get paid a bunch of money like Sam Chui does to be able to do it.
It was QANTAS who “popped my business class 🍒” on my first overseas travel for work. I was lucky enough to get their business class experience for 14 hours! The crew was amazing and incredibly friendly, and the food was so delicious and creative (it was on these flights that I was introduced to Tawny Port 🍷). I have since used QANTAS as the standard for other airlines to meet. Can’t express how great they were to me! 😊
I got a sigh of relief when i saw the title as qantas is literally my whole childhood and in the future I’m going to be a pilot for qantas.

Good luck to you becoming a Qantas pilot. But be prepared, they have one of, if not THE, toughest pilot training courses in the world. Hint, a lot of their pilots are also former Royal Australian Air Force pilots.
Ok thanks for the tip that is probably why qantas is one of the safest airline in the world. Although next year I will be joining airforce cadets and I hope I can get through with that also.

My brother is Qantas cabin crew and we love being part of the Qantas community and how friendly everyone is!! our culture is relaxed and we love that!
Qantas is very safe have never crashed. And now you are in Melbourne which is where l live and the most beautiful city in Australia. Melbourne is also now coffee and restaurant capital of the world so l hope you enjoyed Dan.
Mark Korenhof the only time qantas did have a real emergency was very limited. There were no crashes
The closest crash was when the engine on QF32 blew up. But the training and experience of the pilots assisted them to land the plane safely, brilliant from qantas!!
Qantas has crashed. It's even had 2 shoot downs. It's never had a jetliner crash............. well......... one did in a runway overrun but Qantas paid to repair it at a greater than the value of the airliner so it wouldn't be classified as written off.
I’ve only ever flown Economy with Qantas on their 747 awhile ago and I really liked it. I’m excited to see how their super long haul flights on Project Sunrise play out!

As a qantas frequent flyer and ex contractor to qantas. I am always super happy with the service and professionalism in which is demonstrated both internationally and domestically, with nothing being a trouble and willing to go above and beyond the customers expectation.

QANTAS economy is basically business class compared to other airlines
Qantas is easily one of the best airlines in the world. Also kind of sad that I didn't see you in Melbourne at some point.
I flew QANTAS from Sydney to Shanghai and the service was awesome. Even though it was an economy ticket it felt like a premium product. Very impressed :-)
While your here, you should fly the virgin Australia business class on the a330. It was voted one of the best in the world
its pretty much the same as the 777 business class, which is strong by international standards.
best thing about australia is that our top 2 carriers are both excellent.

Dan, you took one of the longest Australian domestic flights so the seat doesn't go into bed mode that often domestically. most trips don't even get meals served because they don't get to two hours in length to qualify for meal service. good to see you have done some on our carrier and also glad you have enjoyed the service. thanks for talking the time to learn how to pronounce our city names.
Glad you reviewed our national carrier & enjoyed it. I’m a Gold QANTAS frequent flyer for a reason. Domestic flights are quite expensive here, but there are some great options. Enjoy your time in Australia.
My experiences with Qantas have been extreme, from among the best to the very worst! I am glad they looked after you.

Your videos are always so thorough and to the point. I always watch them. before I fly with any airline and you are my go to for all my bookings! AND a big compliment on presenting! Its not easy allot of people cannot do it... but you have a way with the camera and your choice of words, images stock photos etc etc is fantastic!. Congrats!
The reason why Australians love Qantas so much is because for us that travel far and being away for so long, nothing is nice than hearing that accent and warm welcome reminder that you are heading home. Pity they're J product is a little overpriced for what it is (ref: a380), however the a330/b787 have a fantastic product.

On an overnight flight, there would be a sort of mattress over the seat when it is put into bed mode. That would also add to the comfort level.
Been watching your videos for a while now and you never seem to impress with the amazing reviews you do. One thing you do that most other reviews don't one in particular that i am not going to mention (but i am sure you know who i am talking about ... one million subscribers) that your reviews are brutally honest. This means you give us accurate reviews that help tell us which airlines not to fly and to fly. This is unlike the reviewers includeing the one hinted above who just take airline sponsorships. I also really like you fan interaction in the comments. You are a great RUclipsr and I am sure that you all be successful in the future both on RUclips and with your studies. But I ask for one thing and that's to not change no matter how big you become. RUclips channels like yours are a rarity as others accept nonstop airline specific sponsorships. Qantas business class, one of the best business class flights I've ever taken. Qantas and Singapore Airlines in my opinion are the best business class options. Staff on both airlines are amazing..... they all need to be paid more. They made me feel like royalty! Qantas Brisbane to Tokyo..... amazing! Direct flights are the best!

I hope you had a wonderful time in Australia, and also hope you got to experience more than just Perth and Melbourne. Can I just say, Australian airlines have to be some of the best airlines available. Not a single passenger or crew has ever died on and Australia carrier!
died due to a crash, peeps have died lol, its quite common when someone has a heart attack or illness. I flew the remainder of a 14-hour leg with a dead dude being moved to the front of business class :O

@@mrnoahperson7728 it was departing Singapore if I recall and the pilot handled it amazingly. There is not an air carrier in the world who has not had a major fault like an engine out scenario.

I have sat in the row by itself and I would advise you to never sit in a row like that when traveling business class. You have almost the entire plane walking through during boarding, you get served last for the meal service and pre departure beverage, the crew needs to roll the economy meals through the mini cabin during meal service, and passengers traveling in economy try to go through and use the bathroom.

Qantas is just awesome! Had 4 domestic flights with them and all were soo good (in Economy). 2 of those flights were on a 717, my favorite narrow-body-aircraft! :D
So comfortable seats with movable headrests (on regional flights in Economy!!) and good food :)

Dan - Perth to Melbourne is closer to 5 hours than 3! Maybe you weren't factoring in the time shift. Beautiful Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world. Thanks for your clips Dan. They are super informative.
They used to run 747 - 300s on that route. Sitting upstairs was unique in Business.

Thank goodness you didn't fly Qantas domestic 737-800 because obviously the cabin quality wouldn't be the best.
Fyi, the Qantas A330-200 is used for international flights to Asia but is used for Perth to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane because of the range.
The B737-800's can do transcon between PER to SYD/MEL/BNE
You are dumb because the a330 200 only does demestic and the a330 300 goes to Asia like Hong Kong and Singapore

Meal portions in Australia are proudly a lot smaller than in the USA. Meal portions in the USA are huge which is not seen as normal outside of the USA.

Qantas is the best! I s’pose I’m biased. My Dad’s first job was as a Qantas apprentice so have a soft spot. Always find the crew friendly, the seats comfy, food tasty. Back on board in May so your review has me doubly excited.
