I had problems with my joycons not locating even though I used this before with no problems, but then I started Betterjoy as administrator and it fixed my problem
some problems i fixed :
1 . move your bluetooth adapter to somewhere closer (i used usb extender for my wireless mouse) and now it has less latency and very smooth
2 . BetterJoy has annoying feature when you double click your middle stick button it changes to split controller mode
open your BetterJoyForCemu.exe.config with note pad and change the ChangeOrientationDoubleClick value to false
you're a life saver man thx a can play whitout it change to spilt mode
thank u didnt realize i had to literally move my joycons to my bluetooth adapter lmaooo
when i did this, the ring around the home button on my joy con lit up and I have never seen it do that ever. also yes it works, thanks 😂

It can work for a good period of time, but many times it suddenly picks up one joy con as player two. Then I have to exit the game to rearrange it.

I have an x64 computer, so should i run the x64 setup file instead?
Does anyone have their joycon analog sticks not give you max range directional input?
So holding the sticks fully up only makes you walk in games when you should be running
For anyone curious, you should use the below values for the "stick_cal" variable:

I have a problem; when I first tried this it worked perfectly fine but then a few weeks later I try again and It does not connect. It pairs but not connect. I also use a laptop and the oled joycons.

My joy cons were working fine and than I connected my left one to my tablet and now my pc won’t see it!! I disconnected it from both but again my computer no longer sees my left joy con!! It goes into pairing mode but that’s it!! WTF Did I do!!
Forget the joy con from both devices should fix your problem Make sure you reconnect them
i got everything up but my joycons arent being detected by the betterjoy software even thouh theyre bluetoothed to my pc
A problem i have is the second joycon that connects has input lag and it can take hours of turning them on and off to work right. I've been looking for a solution for months and i'm at my wits end.

You may need to buy a USB dongle or adapter to fix this permanently. I would say get the 5.0 one they work smoothly and for the price their worth it.
it didnt work for me because a file kept saying do you want to make changes to your computer and when i said yes or no it will stop and say it was interrupted even though that changes or what in heck it means was made by the same person i dunno why but if the creator of this program they need to fix it

a problem I'm having with this is my right joy con isn't showing up in my pc's bluetooth but works perfectly fine on other devices.
You don't need to install anything, if the game is from steam, it just need to be compatible with controllers and then just activate steam input, that's all.
What if it's a non-steam game
R6 sucks with Nintendo pro controller
for some reason when i connect them they do not activate ? like i connected them successfully, but they don't seem to do anything when i play a game/use my pc.

I fixed it for me, try installing the HID-Guardian Driver and restarting again, that worked for me

hey i did all the steps but my joy cons dont appear on betterjoy is it because ive choose vigembusSetup x64 instead if 86 or its something else

When I connect them it only discovers the left but then it turns off, only the right one gets discovered, is there any way to fix this issue

I'm trying my pro controller and for this specific game but betterjoy isn't allowing it to override the default keyboard and mouse input (when i open up game and press controller buttons it glitches in and out from the controllers button inputs and the default keyboard inputs and doesn't do anything beyond that. can someone help?

You can just connect a PS5 controller via Bluetooth to Steam 👍

i closed the program once and now it wont open again, it just says instance already running so now i dont know what to do
did the steps again and this time i opened the app, now i dont know what to do to add the controllers
could've gone to the tray, in the bottom right of your pc there should be an arrow pointing up which upon clicking you should see the better joy logo. then double click the logo and it should open the program again.

Using this for mGBA emulator and the latency makes it unplayable. It’s not my bluetooth either, because my snes emulator supports both joycons flawlessly.

Okay so in case you're still interested in getting this to work, I just followed the tutorial today and was having the same problem, so I figured I'd comment to help others who may be seeing this video later. All I ended up doing was pressing any button on either joycon to get them to locate. Not sure if you already tried that or not, but I was sitting here clicking the "Locate" button over and over with nothing happening until I clicked the home button on the joycon and it located in a snap! Also I ended up using the x64 driver instead of the x86, not sure why but the x86 had an error installing for me. Currently playing on Citra emulator with my joycons working perfectly so far after remapping the buttons in Citra to be the joycon inputs.
