How to Connect Joycons to PC w/ BETTERJOY Driver - 2023 Updated Guide

Complete setup guide to using Betterjoy to Connect your Nintendo Switch Joycons to your Windows PC. First step is to make sure ViGEmBus is installed. Download Betterjoy and get it setup on your computer. Then make sure your Joycons are connected to your PC and they should show up in the Driver. You can then click on them to make them function as a single controller or separately. Depending on what you want/need. Updated for 2023.

My Joycons dont pop up in Bluetooth. What should I do?

Hey so im using this method to play on a dolphin emulator, and after like 30 minutes or so the joycons get really bad input lag.
Ive tried stuff such as reconnecting to bluetooth, forget and reconnect, updating to latest version but nothing seems to remedy the issue.
Any idea on how to fix this?

Man, my pc doesn´t connect my pro contoller via Bluetooth, says paired and all, but if I click on any button the sync lights flash and it disconnects itself after a couple of seconds. Neither BetterJoy, or DS4windows dettects it (weired doesn´t either). Please help

You re connect them
You Bassicly click forget joycons from Bluetooth and after just re connect them and they'll show up

I used to play Genshin Impact with my switch joycons thanks to Betterjoy but recently the application Genshin need to open with their new application Hoyoplay. I did think it mess up with Better Joy because when I open the game my right joycon start to lose her blue ligtht on the button home and then I see that it's work like I had a PSP buttons and I can't control correctly my perso.
It's still work right with Honkai Star Rail because I didn't connect it with Hoyoplay, I guess :(

My joy cons were working fine and than I connected my left one to my tablet and now my pc won’t see it!! I disconnected it from both but again my computer no longer sees my left joy con!! It goes into pairing mode but that’s it!! WTF Did I do!!

Are you saying its got a weird name thats giving you a concern or its being flagged by your anti-virus as a trojan? I dont think theirs some secret society of software sneaking around called "Bob Trojan".
That said. Its a good idea to vet and verify all software that you decide to use. Dont just take my tutorial as your only stop. Go look up betterjoy. There's other videos and also articles that talk about using it, some other stuff that its good for like the Dolphin emulator. Etc. Always double check so you dont get an actual virus.
That said. Some Anti-virus programs will flag any software that doesnt have an official signature from microsoft that verifies them as being made by a legit company. Why? Because it costs money and a lot of developers that make stuff like this do it for free. So again. Double check and always do your research to be sure.
