BBC World Business Report: Titles and branding 1990s to 2024
- BBC News retired the 'WBR' brand, after more than 30 years, on Tuesday 7th May 2024.
I had no idea World Business Report was ditched as a brand (until I saw ‪@hoanganhkheo-editor‬ mention it). It was a weirdly comforting show years ago, seeing it on BBC World when in a foreign hotel room.
I already had some of the old branding in my archive and pulled in a few favours to get an almost complete set. The flags era is very elusive.

Really, it's retired? I remember working back late at work 22, 23 years ago and it got played so often I got sick of it! But remembered fondly now. Wow the original theme seems REALLY out of place though. I always thought the 2000s version didn't fit the rest of the news presentation, but that's WAY older.
