Coober Pedy is an underground town in the Australian desert where it is too hot to live above ground. That is what they need to do here in tornado alley, because the corrupt insurance companies will not pay up for all the damage
As you say, Coober Pedy is in the desert, average rainfall there is around 7"... a year. Underground dwellings make sense there.

On the terrible tornadoes in Michigan, they should rebuild with basements or outdoor cellers since it'll probably get worse in the near future.
I empathize with these individuals because I lost all my possessions right after my military service when my house was destroyed in a fire while I was at work. It's a terrible experience. Some things can't be replaced, such as my photos of the Space Shuttles Columbia and Challenger. I hope we don't have to face any severe weather conditions here in Minnesota. However, what's currently happening across the country is concerning.
I have lost everything I owned and had to wear my aunts clothes until I could get on my feet again.

@@markbrinks8806 Not always. We had Veterans living in a community on a vacant property with the owner's permission. Then the city threw them out and they moved to an area under a bridge. Some property was donated in another county and a non-profit is building them houses this summer so they will be safe.

The tornado outbreak here was terrifying Lester. Kalamazoo county got the worst of it. But there was rotation in nearly every single cell that swept across our area yesterday. Strong rotation in a cell that traveled through Hillsdale county, MI where I live. But thankfully it didn't produce a tornado. 11 tornadoes in total I'm surprised no one was killed. Portage was hit twice by a strong tornado then a weaker one after first responders got on scene. Terrifying day for Michigan... my home state has its problems but we're all family here.

I have never seen so many tornadoes going through at the same time. This is too ravaging! I wonder if this is climate change related! A woman from Wisconsin who had her home damaged due to the tornadoes said: it feels like being in a funeral. I hate funerals, that is the saddest of ceremonies, besides burying people in the ground damages good land that could be better used. For reasons of sanitation, dead bodies should be cremated as it was done in the ancient times.

Coming from a former high school football player that often played against Southlake Carroll, I will say this. The school very much as a certain "look" that the students (and even the families) have to fit in order for them to fit in with the school and the Town of Southlake. If you are not a WASP, and are not straight, you are frankly not welcomed at the school. In fact, I don't even remember seeing one minority kid on their football team the whole time I played against them.
Even out in the town, I very rarely see any sort of minority there as well. It's kinda creepy.
