    Start with a live stream to see how it goes, if you schedule it and put out the word you will have more viewers. Make sure you get moderators, schedule one then decide on frequency. Do it when you would have the best viewership. keep the time limited to begin with and then follow what people want. I won't say follow Geremy or Jorge but you know what I mean. • @mywallytube46
    @mywallytube46 8 месяцев назад +2

    by my estimation, you lost about $130 in fees turning in the coins that way as they charge about 12.5%. Now if you had gone to your regular bank, chances are there would have been no charge. You might have had to approach them first about all the coins you had, but you could arrange to drop them off and they would have counted them as they had time and then credited your account. I do agree with the others though as you should have gone thru them and looked for any 'special' coins and taken those to a coin dealer. Those golden dollars a coin dealer might want, you might have gotten $125 or more instead of the $112 you got for them.
    Very cool though for just a years effort.

    The coin machine in a grocery store usually charges a percentage likthat has a e 7-8%. If you go to a bank that has a coin counter and you have an account there it is normally free. Hope they checked at least 25 to 50 coins in each container except for pennies to see if any have dates earlier then think its 1965 that contain 90% silver. A $1.40 in junk silver coins (
    example = 4 quartets & 4 dimes equal 1 ounce of silver and worth approximately $24.

    Most people save coins because they are collectible, there was silver in those coins trust me.😢 So if you would have done that properly you would have probably made twice as much.

    I thought I'd guess what the value was based on how much all the containers of coins weighed, but I didnt see you weigh the quarters. So I estimated that the quarters would weigh about 25 pounds. I estimated the total would be about $2250.
    Edit: Well, looks like I was a little high! Hard to estimate when there are containers of mixed coins.

    I collect every penny I find or get in change. I once spent £70 plus in copper and low silver at staples. People these days simply throw their small Shane in the bins.

    I filled a water jug about 1/4 full with mostly pennies nickles and dimes (I like to spend my quarters) and it came to $353
    Would have been really awkward if ran into a homeless person looking for spare change.

    Quick tip: cash in your coins at your own bank for no fee!
    (At least my bank allows it for free, un-rolled)

    Not only did you not search the coins which I wouldn’t do either honestly but you payed 12 cents on the dollar on top of it. I put $400 in that and they took $40.

    Thomas I saw you guys going through some change I saw that you had some half dollars I'm sure that you know any half dollars made in 1964 or silver or at least 80 something percent silver but also with Kennedy half dollars in 1965 1966 1967 1968 and 1969 are 40% silver and it's hard to tell unless you know what you're looking at and you're worth a couple bucks ea so you don't want to turn those in for even money!, and btw you guys are so cute, what a sweet family.
