So proud of how comfortable and convincing these two are with their roles despite being straight in real life. Matt leaning in for a kiss seemed so second nature, it was absolutely adorable. And I say this with absolute love and affection for other actors I've seen do gay roles: with them, the fear and perhaps slight discomfort seem palpable still. It's just not the case for Harry and Matt. Huge respect. 💖💖💖

I honestly prefer book malec, and just the books in general. I think I just enjoy the storyline more and the innocence of the characters. In the books they're just teenagers trying to work there way around crazy situations together whereas in the TV show they're all adults who work more independently. There's less of a relationship between characters to me. Although I've typically found that those who read the books before they watch the show enjoy the books more and those who watch the show before the books enjoy the show more so I suppose its all a matter or personal experience? As someone who read the books first it's really hard to not fall in love with the world she created and seeing that on screen was really mediocre for me because I personally didnt get the same aura from any of that characters. I think Harry and Matt did a fantastic job, but I can't let go of book malec so easily 💕💕
