If something bad happens when you're lane splitting, that's on you as the rider. Also, stop reving and just use your horn man. Most cars won't hear you reving.... Yes, a lot of people don't know how to drive around bikers but we also need to protect ourselves and not be jackasses when on our bikes.
I agree with everything except the horn my bike is way louder then my horn and it has saved me multiple times when someone cuts me off or cuts in to my lane
@@jasonthomsen312 depending on your exhaust and setup, it can be but most modern horns can get pretty damn loud. I also recommend to other riders that, if their bike is quiet, to get a better horn. Air/train horns are very effective!

It’s 100% legal in most states and countries. It’s called lane splitting. You need to learn your laws as this is the problem. You see that not knowing it’s completely illegal so it makes you mad on the road. Now going from lane to lane is illegal without waiting 3 seconds in between. But lane splitting is legal in most areas. Don’t assume without knowing the facts and laws. Have a great day my friend!

@@Impalaplayer What are you talking about? He only has 9k likes on a video with nearly 600k views, that's terrible. I'd love to be able to see the dislike count cause with only 9k likes its safe to assume that the dislikes are at least double to triple that at around 18-30k dislikes. Go look at any other video with a similar amount of views on youtube and you'll see they all have at least 40k likes meaning this video only having 9k likes means the rest of that 40k has gone to dislikes. This is why youtube removing the dislike count was utterly pointless cause you can still easily estimate the dislikes by extrapolating.
I believe after the age of 50 you should have to head to a local dmv every 4 years to take an awareness test. Its especially bad here in florida where most of the population in my city are retired so it is insanely common for people to pull out in front of you and blow stopsigns or stop lights.

Idk about 50, but after 60 for sure. Yearly knowledge exam and every 2-3 practical. Old people are more dangerous than new drivers, imo. I've literally never been hit by a new driver, but I've been rear ended by elderly folks more than once. Every time they seemed incognizant.
Psh, even younger than that. As a fulltime delivery driver in Florida, I see WAY too many methed up pissheads of varying ages failing to signal, swiping in front of others, tailgating in the SLOW LANE, doing all sorts of crackheaded stuff behind the wheel. It's horrid. They need to return their licenses back to the cereal boxes from whence they came.
50 is too young for drivers in general to be considered a road hazard due to slowed reactions or inattentiveness, but over retirement age of 65 for sure drivers should get more scrutiny. If you want what other countries do as an example, in the UK you have to be re-evaluated every 2 years after age 70. My guess is you're still under 35? 50 comes sooner than you'd think!
@@rbwannasee im actually 20. Most people here pull out in front of you like your not even there. Thats why when we see someone pulling up to a intersection or begin to merge into traffic we let of and put our foot on the brake. This has saved us dozens of times.
Weaving in and out of cars like that is illegal in most states and most times you will get a ticket. Ive noticed a trend in the last 20 years of more douchy riders acting like they own the roads and if they dont get their way they rage or get violent.

Making comments about things you don't have knowledge about makes you look stupid. Lane splitting is legal in a lot of places because it is more safe for motorcycles. Use your mirrors and look around every once in a while and you won't hit a bike.

I pay attention, but not to the surprise speeding bullet that may or may not be shooting between me at 80 (obviously i know this case is in intersections but it holds true) and revving the engine does nothing to "announce" your arrival and for everyone to part to allow you passage. Get real, check your own safety and dont rely on the randoms on the road, especially if you are the one that can die instantly. Be safe out there.

I think the trucker at 1:45 stopped there because those trucks need to take very wide turns and the bike pulled up to close, he probably wasn't sure he could safely make the turn so he waited for the bike to leave. Not a big deal.
yea in all honesty the truck had rights to continue going because he was already in movement before biker had green light

I'm so lucky to live in the Philippines. It's so rare to have motorcycle accident because most of the people here have motocycles
@Dennis McConnell from the Philippines as well, but I think I've seen a lot more motorcycle getting into accidents than cars. They don't happen as often as you'd think though. I think that maybe with having as much motorcycles as there are cars on the road, people are generally more aware of them while driving. Like they're something that we always subconsciously look out for.

@@chimmy7785 Not nitpicking. It was a dick move on the biker to rush up on a combination vehicle that has to take a late turn like that because of off-tracking. The other cars proceeded because them sitting there was impeding traffic.

tip from a friend, I ride a motorcycle: always be polite, people are super embarrassed when you react in a way they weren't expecting, don't speak in a tone of irony until you have a reason, and if you have argued with a driver, keep away from him in traffic, even though I'm a police officer and carrying a gun, I can't put my life at risk for trivial reasons, having a gun is not that different from riding a motorcycle, you have risks, think about them when you argue for something nonsense
I think this is the first completion that I've seen where the riders aren't the idiots in these situations half the time...
So for the first video. That's why I don't stop I front of an exit to a parking lot. It's just a little courtesy I give but you don't have to that I know of. I know that I would like if I could get to the turn lane instead of waiting 10-15 minutes to find an opening. And again it's just something nice to do for others that doesn't slow you down.

Whoever is driving the bike may need to re-sit his license test, they have no brain. Constantly swerving into opposite lane then attempt to blame car driver for mistakes, runs red lights. Get off the road before you kill someone.
It's really fucking simple. Ride like you're invisible. Stay out of blind spots. When you're lane filtering, slow down and expect people to change lanes.
The majority of these videos are complete non issues. Pay attention and move on.

First person wasn’t an idiot. I’ve done that many times. Especially in cities I’m unfamiliar with as I travel a lot. I’ll make a wrong turn or I’ll just completely change my mind about what route I want to take so I simply well do things people wouldn’t normally do to get to where I’m going.

it's always the car's fault, but not the biker that's speeding between lanes, riding dangerously close to other vehicles, or chasing cars out of spite, and assholes smashing people's side-mirrors (which is illegal). That semi-truck at 1:25 honestly made a good call: He already doesn't trust the jumpy biker, he knows he's angry, so it's better to just let him go around and steam away. Yes, he's blocking a whole intersection, but can you blame him for not wanting to confront an angry biker? God, these are awful.

As a bike rider I’m embarrassed that these are other riders. I suppose defensive riding has gone out the window. These are riders that have been riding for much longer than I have, but seem to have much worse habits. And If you’re going to confront someone don’t be aggressive that’s a good way to get seriously injured or worse. Our world seems to lack compassion for our fellow humans. I by no means am perfect and I make my fair amount of mistakes but I try to be aware and forgiving.
I agree with you mate. I have seen far too many videos and accidents in person involving motorcycles where the biker got mad to the point of getting physical even when the driver of the vehicle gets out and makesure they are OK and offers to get them medical attention if they feel they need it. And then agian seen accidents where people hit bikers and run from the scene. Nobody seems to care for one anymore and it's really sad.
I am a rider and ride a sport bike that really pisses people off. Some riders are just looking for trouble though.

What is "pass the car in the right"? No it's not his fault bro.... There are two lanes traveling in the same direction. That motorcycle rider could have been a bicycle rider and where would he have been riding at? On the right side of that lane to allow faster moving traffic to pass by and the same thing would have happened to the bicycle rider. You can not just throw your door open without checking to make sure it is safe to do so. So it's not the motorcycle riders fault.... Bro.

What if the left lane driver is going to turn left and comes to a stop does that mean the right lane has to also stop until the car in the left lane turns? What is the point of having two lanes traveling in the same direction if they have to treat it as if it is one lane?

What you're trying to say is that someone can not pass in the right lane which means if the left lane is going slow the right lane has to go slower so they don't pass the cars in the left lane. So that means if the left lane stops the right lane has to stop also even if the lane has nothing stopping it.
Bikers, please keep in mind car drivers do not think like you, when we are stuck on traffic and you're filtering through small gaps, we don't realise this

Why do I see bikers always passing people however they please. Then the second someone passes them it was a dangerous overtake. So many times I see bikers put themselves in worst situations then the idiot car driver put them in. You have to protect yourself out there.

Sorry, I'm a biker too and some of the "driving skills" shown here, are more than worse! You just don't use the gaps between two cars, as a third lane for your bike. Far too risky.

It is the bikers fault… nobody else would’ve tried to pass that car… only a person on a bike… for the second one. Thinking you can just squeeze through where ever you want rather than waiting like literally everyone else at a stop light.
honestly as a bike rider you have way more control moving through traffic so a lot of these situations could be avoided with a little defensive driving before aggressively claiming your place in the flow of traffic. Kind of a d*ck move to ride beside a car at the same speed.
