Because of you I reached out to my parents today after not speaking to them for almost a year. I was so afraid that they wouldn’t accept me or want me back in the family but I just picked up the phone and called them. Your story of reaching out to your dad to apologize and let you know you forgive him after not talking to him for nearly 20 years, and it going well, gave me the courage to do this. Thank you Johnny.

I think there is a misunderstanding we are here to develop our own ability to make decisions but some of us get so deeply lost that the intervention of the beyond is necessary but this can only work when ppl honestly confess to themselves and the beyond that they are at the end of their wits and that they need guidance. (This is original sense of the confession in the catholic church see godfather 3 when Michael confesses first time to a priest in 30 years - the priest says: you can be forgiven and live with God but you don't believe that stuff (again disbelief)) But this existence isn't there that we avoid any risks, that we avoid become individuals, we shouldn't be all the time dependent (cause we should become in his (lords) likeness) This can only happen if we are able to make own decisions therefore we have free-will ("bestowed upon us from the lord") If you checkout NDE's you will see the same logics and explanations again but also new stuff NDE's helpede to better understand the beyond. The authentic testament of beyond, entities, God/Brahman etc is helpful for understanding.
      Ps:
There is a risk in only following without questioning cause things which aren't from the beyond can be passed as such.

I can hardly believe I'm starting to see as I was someone who spent a lot of time arguing against religion and faith, believing it was all created just to control the populace, just about a week or two ago I was still an agnostic, and I was for nearly all my life. As soon as something clicked out of nowhere in my mind, I go on a forum I frequent that is not Christian at all, and there is a thread that says nothing but "At last I truly see" with a picture of three crosses on the thumbnail. Many more inexplicable "coincidences" have happened since where I struggle with explanation of scriptures and the answers just appear. I'm Buddhist and his video gave me courage to finally stand up for myself by confronting my abusive parents after I have cut them off over 10 years ago. My Mum was physically and mentally abusive to me my entire life where she told me many times that she wished I was never born. The tragedy is, that my ignorant father, siblings, cousins and relatives have not protected and supported me ever. When I confronted them this year, my parents only got defensive and blame everything to me. But I'm glad that I stand up for myself, because I can finally let go of my family. Let go of the desire that they will change. Let go of the vision that they will be one day caring, supportive and loving to me. I accept now for who they are and I take responsibility for my life now. I'm 32 and I feel like I'm living my life again. In my opinion blood makes me related but love, trust and respect makes family. My husband and my friends are my family.

I am sorry that you have endured such pain. I can relate completely. I am 38, it took me about 20 years for me to open my eyes fully. To realize that I can change so much to be better; but that doesn't change the people that I love. It has been unbelievably painful and lonely, yet a blessing to learn and become aware, so I can stop chasing the illusion of family that is so desired from these blood relatives which is hurting me. You are right; your family is the people that you choose to be in your life. I wish many blessings and continued healing for you

I really needed to hear this (I just watched the first video as well). I think a lot like Johnny did when he was getting into trouble. I was also living a bad life addicted to drugs, hanging out with people I shouldn’t have, doing bad things, etc. Since I was a child, I truly thought that I was always right. When Johnny said that it’s because people like that don’t “think deeply” I got upset. Because even though I had that “always right” mindset, I still thought deeply. Then shortly after he said “deep thinking is different than overthinking” and that really made sense to me. I thought I was deep thinking but I’ve actually just been overthinking this whole time. A lot of things Johnny talks about really connect with me (as I am sure they do with most of us). I am 3 years sober and a mom now but I am currently struggling with really bad depression. These interviews helped me remember there is another perspective here. I forgot how to think because I’ve been doing things trusting my first thoughts for so long. Now after watching this I can remember to slow down and think about what’s really happening and listen to my heart instead of the resilient, intrusive thoughts that come to me.
I hope this all made sense. It’s hard to put what I am thinking into words right now.
Thank you Johnny for speaking to people and helping so many of us! I don’t think you will truly understand the impact you are making on people.
Also, I actually cried when he was talking about meeting his dad to say sorry and his dad apologizing back. 🥲

When you said that “people that are always right in their minds tend to push people away” It hit me. You just described my brother perfectly. My younger brother is 23yr old. He’s toxic to be around always angry, mixes drugs, and his girlfriend is the same way. I just couldn’t stick around anymore to save him. It’s not my job. I tried to apologize for no reason, tried taking him to therapy, bailed him out of jail…nothing worked. I’m here still but I cut all ties with our relationship, he added to my anxiety for years. After a while you realize only they can save themselves not everyone is willing to change. 😢 You’re a beautiful soul Johnny. ❤️

I've had a similar situation except it was with a friend I've known for over 30 years. Would just get defensive when you try to help, only looking for enablers to surround them. I used to try to use gentle patient love, tough love, but in the end you're right its up to them. And I had to cut ties with that person. Hope both people find their way out of their own misery.

I feel for you. I just want to share that you did nothing wrong. What you have done for your brother is truly awesome. The way we love our brothers is beautiful. I am in the same boat as you with my brother. I do believe that love helps and supports people; yet the change has to come from them, they have to reach their point of where they know that a change is necessary and desired. With that being said; we can always love them and accept that we can't change them, without doing anything physically. Most power for change comes in being shown that change is possible and is the road to living a truly good life. Wishing you many blessings and healing.

This was a profound interview, Johnny is very wise. I’ve always thought to myself how evil the brain can be. It can fuel a false perception over oneself and other things based on one’s past experiences and it does this for self preservation purposes. It creates all of the negative instances that could happen although such hasn’t happened yet or the likelihood isn’t high. That’s why we need each other’s thoughts on things. There were so many key take aways from this, I absolutely loved ittttttt!

I love your analogy of not trusting someone else who is a liar, yet we trust ourselves. We don't even need to use the word liar, it works with words like "fickle" or "changeable". One moment we think we are so right, and somebody else is SO wrong. Yet eventually (one would hope), we usually come to find the part we played in some matter. Or one moments being in a terrible mood, "woe is me, all is lost!", and then that mood or season passes and we feel much more balanced and reasonable. Well, anyway. As this rad old timey song goes: "Oh yes I love, God's way of living, i'm so thankful I accepted when he called...!"

I was taught when having a negative or harmful thought or feeling to "follow" that thought in my mind and "play the tape all the way through" ...like Johnny said about having his gun...he thought about what he would lose, who he would harm, and the destruction in and around him it would bring and was able to recognize that thought as an intrusive one and could move on from it...appreciate today's reminder of that for myself! Like Johnny, I come from a really bad background, and my way out was the same as his. Christ Jesus, the Lord. I can attest that what this man says is 100% true, and the gift that has been given to us is also available to every human being on this earth. Begin today, and stay with it, and you too will emerge a new creation.
