I had a friend who was a bounty hunter for about two months. He was a former Marine who taught empty-hand combat to other marines. He was a dangerous man but super nice. His first capture was a guy he dragged from under a bed and handcuffed to the roll bar in the back of his pickup to take in. He quit after two months. I asked him why and he looked at me with his hard eyes and said " Some of these people do not want me to catch them a lot more than I want to get them and they are crazy dangerous.'
As a survivor thank you for being one to get involved and help save those who can't help themselves. So many men stand around eyes wide mouth hanging open but nobody gets involved.

I'm a licensed bounty hunter in Georgia and his account is 100% accurate. A very good account of the morality and the fear and mental toll it takes... Great interview.
Just a little backstory: Perspective is often due to the angle at which you are viewing a situation. Just because you feel a certain way doesn’t mean it’s accurate or that your feelings consider the entirety of that situation. The guy who was taken to court, using pain compliance, was refusing to go to court and was sitting in his sisters car. She had driven him to court and was begging him to go in. The day prior, his sister and the bondsman had lost $10,000 because of the same situation. His sister was a single mom, broke, and had signed his bond as the indem to do him favor so that he wouldn’t have to sit in jail. She put up two bonds, each for $10,000 and this was the thanks she received by her brother. She was blocks away from the courthouse because when she would drive too close, he would start destroying her car. He was in a volatile place and was mistreating someone who loved him (mental illness or not) So by taking him to court that day we saved her and the bondsman a large amount of money. I wish I had helped her the day before. I wish her brother wasn’t mentally ill. But you can wish in one hand and shit in the other.. you know the saying. Also, the girl who went to treatment and we picked her up. We got her off the bond she was on with the pervert who had been her bondsman. We took her to jail but had another bondsman lined up for her within 12 hours, she was back out and checked into that treatment facility. Just so you know, we did take care of her and helped her as best we could. We also reported him to the DOI. My team does NOT do recoveries for that bondsman, that was the last day I spoke with him. And I did tell him exactly what I thought about him. 👍 we were not paid for that day because he got his feelings hurt during my conversation with him. No love lost here. Wanted this to be understood, there are always different views/angles to be seen. Emotions are raw, and they refuse to be reasoned with. It’s not often that our emotions tell the truth. Some situations don't have a perfect solution. They still need to be dealt with. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to weigh the unknowns in the blink of an eye. Sounds impossible almost. I for one am grateful to you the same way that I'm grateful to our veterans. Thank you Nic.

Listening to your stories at the end reminded me of some of the video I’ve seen in places like New York City subways where a woman is being raped or beaten and it’s unconscionable to me that nobody lifts a finger to help. I am a huge advocate of Jonathan T Gilliams. book Sheep No More: The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival. Everybody that is physically capable to, should be taking self-defense classes but beyond anything a book or class can teach is simply being brave enough to ACT. courage is contagious. Anyways great interview and I admire your mentality on the world.
I never comment but this one seriously got me. Nic is a real man and one of a rare & dying breed. As a 24 year old man, this was interview was inspiring. He’s someone to aspire to be like. Seems like this man takes care of business / the people around him. All the people around him. Throughout the whole interview it seemed like he kept inadvertently going back to his team, his family, strangers. You can tell how important the community is to this guy. Guy just seems like a genuine guardian. After watching this I wanna work out, and make sure I’m the best version of myself, so I can be there for those around me when the time comes. Seems like thats how Nic lives. My favorite interview to date Not to mention how kind and respectful he comes off, while also remaining stern and stuck to his convictions. Really would love to hear more from this guy, really inspired by this one.

Been dealing with depression all my life and the one consistent reason i’ve found to carry on is to be there for those that need you. To be ready. Not even necessarily family or friends, but just human beings as a whole. The world is a cold cruel place, there’s no doubt about it, all the more reason to try to carry your own lantern and shine on those who may need it
I hope you continue to do more “everyday people” interviews like these. Sometimes the broken sorrow of some of your guests can be overwhelming. I know there is a point to exposing all of the many problems in our society, but interviews like this help to provide contrast. Keep up the good work 👍

@ that’s why I had quotes around everyday people. My point was, it’s nice to see people that are NOT very bad off on serious drugs all the time, it’s too depressing. Nice to see rational, working people with all kinds of stories and interests.
He admitted what most cops refuse to. That sometimes they take things personally, and they either stop themselves from doing something to a person or they don't. That self control separates those who should be in law enforcement and those that should not.
Facts, I’m not upset about cops roughing them up either. People feel bad for psychopaths that wouldn’t piss on you if you’re on fire. Unfortunately, they only understand force. The last story about the man beating the pregnant woman stuck with me.

As a community we need to help the youth, it can't be all on the families. Some families have cycles of trauma and drug abuse that is hard to break out of on their own.
Nick is a brutally honest badass. I'm 41 and he is absolutely right on point about society and the lack of leadership. Especially when it comes to doing the right thing and holding one's self accountable.
It's no different from any past times or generations. Average folks are never taking responsibility, it's always somebody else's fault. It's human nature.
Really y'all? I haven't been arrested since 1998, long case closed. This guy has been in my devices and accounts and energy, since at least 2019. Remote viewing inside my private property, antagonizing until I finally lose my shit? To hunt someone who has not been arrested, so trying to encourage a behavior to arrest.
Great interview with Nic. Nic, is so much like my brother. My brother was not a bounty hunter, but he was just like Nic, when NIcs off of work. My brother was 6ft 5, 280, and his name was Jack. My Dad, called him action Jackson. When ever he saw a man hitting a woman, he went into action. He had more guts then any man i have ever met. When 911 happened He was right into action. He took his dump truck, left our state and went to New York to do all he could to help. He stayed on the site helping for 48 hours. Nic, reminded me so much of him also when he said, punks, start calling him Sir. I saw older men call my brother Sir, when he over powered them, always with his hands . We lost him 2 years ago, and their is a great chance, it was do to him helping out in New York. He was exposed to stuff that gave him cancer, like many others exposed there also got. Nic, is a great human being, just like my brother was. God bless Nic.

This is the reason why I got out of corrections/law enforcement. He is spot on with everything he's said with people not taking accountability, no leadership, and the overall downfall of society due to drugs. I knew I had to get out when people we're telling me how negative and angry I was and I never looked back when I left. It's mentally exhausting dealing with people who just don't get it and it's extremely dangerous.

I've made this comment a bunch of times, but must commend you once again for being the best in the biz about letting your interview subjects talk, and not constantly interrupting or rushing them along like 99% of other interviewers. Giving the conversation room to breathe sets a whole different tone, and is much more pleasant to watch.
Minnesota representing! This interview was fascinating! I have been an ER RN for 17 years and a lot of what Nic spoke about, is stuff that we deal with on a daily basis in the ER that I work in. Homelessness, drugs, ETOH, mental illness, violence are ALL things that I see at work everyday. It is often overwhelming, and can feel hopeless and helpless dealing with this issues everyday. Our society is sick, and I fear that it will only get worse. You really need to have a healthy outlet outside of work, or it would be super easy to just lose yourself in that abyss.
Keep up the good work, I bet it's mentally and emotionally draining. Much of society has rebelled against God, and this is what happens, a further falling into an abyss of evil lifestyle before final judgement and damnation to hell. But Jesus is waiting with open arms for people to repent and turn to Him, and we can pray for these people because we can't physically make them change their lives. Seen countless people who have destroyed themselves with alcohol/substance abuse or food in the hospital/nursing homes, and it's also destroying the healthcare system we work in and has made our jobs 10x tougher, especially since 2020.

I think if a lot of especially young men got this 'I need to be a leader' shit out of their heads, things would go better for them. No one's asking for men to be leaders, no one ever did, that's just something arseholes made up retrospectively to justify their unsolicited actions. Men need to learn who they really are and how to be without trying to put their balls on everyone's nose all the time. It's too much pressure for anyone to deal with.
@@complimentary_voucher , I would argue that we had no need to ask anyone to be leaders, bc men were so naturally good at it that they were already leading. It wasn't a problem when women were still using their wombs as intended. In fact, it made sense. I'm not saying men have to lead or that women can't, just that we'll see less cracked skulls and fewer balls accross the nose if we would align our expectations with everybody's natural strengths and weaknesses... and quit trying to control everything like it's ours to control. We live in weird times when vigilantes, bounty-hunters and mafia are being praised for their great contribution and big heart... I feel sad because perhaps I am missing something from the greater picture and lack empathy.
Great interview. This guy is a professional. You can tell by the way he conducts himself. I wouldn’t want to get into a physical alteration with him! He had some great things to say. I really like his advice on fear and not letting fear hold you back. It’s great to see interviews with people from all walks of life. You never know what you will learn from someone else.

wow. i’m speechless. as many of y’all, i’m a HUGE fan of these interviews & find them as a way to decompress from my day. i’m a middle school social worker & im completely flabbergasted on how on point his concepts of life are. his ideas & views are on there not being enough leaders, not enough people taking accountability, and respect are SPOT ON. I often find myself having these conversations with middle schoolers… filming ‘friends’ while they are getting beat up is one concept that constantly blows my mind.. yet this is the new norm. this interview has me thinking beyond what I thought… just love these damn interviews 🙏🏽 thank you for these unexpected interviews that allow us to connect different concepts and aspects of life.

Phweeeeww. This channel, my friend, is something else. It's one of the most impressive and important pieces of media that exists. These people are all amazing, and the stories they tell are absolutely the stories that need to be heard.
Nic's confidence is contagious. His words really hit the core, and though I'm often not confident enough to step in when I see something happening that 100% should NOT be, I hope I can reflect on how confident these guys are when it comes to that point of injustice.
As a young man growing up without a father I always kind of wish I knew somebody like Nic to teach me how to be confident and handle difficult situations in life. I feel like I'm just casting along going nowhere with absolute zero dedication, discipline or motivation. Knowing nobody that has these tributes makes me feel even more hopeless. People/man like Nic are rare these days. I wish I can become a better version of myself one day even though I'm already 33. This inspired me deeply. Keep it up SWU!

Love this guy! It's nice to see the interviews you've been doing lately that aren't with people that are troubled, but the people that are on the side of dealing with the troubled people. There are a lot of unsung heroes out there that we need to be aware of and appreciate. I think it would be interesting to see interviews with those who work with the mental or drug rehabilitation facilities.
Just because someone isn’t homeless or an addict doesn’t mean they’re not troubled. Lots of people in law enforcement are pretty troubled. Bounty hunters even more so because basically anyone that can pass a background check can become one. Any position that has a low barrier to entry and allows one to run around with a gun fighting and handcuffing people will attracted a lot of people with a certain type of “troubled”.
This is a true man, which is rare in today's society. I'm the kind of person who has very few friends. I could count them on my fingers and have a few left over. That's because I only allow others on my life with the same beliefs and values as I have, and we are unfortunately a dying breed. Thank you for this interview. Maybe it will be a wake up call for someone in the younger generation and they can see what a man is supposed to be.

Reflection is important and needed, I'd argue men need to be doing far more in the sense of educating each other on how we can better serve society as individuals. I get where you're coming from.

Men are already supremely self-reflective. It's not any real men who are doing all that bad shit, it's boys, boys with no masculinity/strong masculine father figures to make good men out of them. We are doomed as a society if men don’t step up and teach you the youth to be held accountable. You see something, act. It could be your mother, sister or brother. Did you hear the part in which he lied to the woman to get her out of a treatment center only to deliver her to the bail bondsmen, who was planning to extort her for sex? He nicely deflected his part in trafficking her, but that is what happened.
@@pixie6133 no, did not hear that piece of the interview. Thanks for pointing it out. I may have been distracted. I did hear him say that he doesn't always love his role in this job, perhaps it was centered around that comment. Bailbondsmen are unregulated, and can be known to be quite cruel, but I was certainly glad he saved that girl from getting murdered. I am sure he's no saint, but he seems to at least have a moral compass, so hopefully his good traits outweigh the bad (honestly that's about all I can hope for in people these days).
I believe he delivered her back to jail when he picked her up, not the bondsman. Maybe I misheard, but that’s my understanding of what they do when they pick ppl up.
As retired LEO , I really felt the story of mentally ill guy, the family taking piggy banks etc , cops , ems , FD , military , now I c bounty hunters etc, I see these incidents as soul injuries , the shootings if their trying to kill u and u win ,your mind can digest it , if someone fights they get hurt , your mind can digest that but things like he described , the innocence that were in wrong place at wrong time , children killed , elderly abused , pets abused , and there’s very little if anything u can do for them , government agencies barely help , that’s the things that scar your soul , those are things that stick with u for life , so ease up on the Cop hate , their only human , have their own problems but they also paid to take the worlds problems on

this society is a very simple generalzation... not saying you feel or mean it in any way but when you compare what you think it should be to your reality or the bad, really bad parts, its not that simple. like take a large city in US say NYC or LA, most ppl say those places are shitholes me included, the general societal culture in those cities has changed over time but today there is soooo many things that are making them spiral out of control especially with the whole society reality of it if you know about it or live there... me i used to live near NYC but now i live in rural south and there is far less crime, ppl are nicer, youd be shocked at how vastly different they are and im glad to be living here because its a world that we naturally crave like the ideals and morals and principles you, me and him are talking about exist here unlike LA or NYC... when you have that large amount of ppl you lose the small town vibe where you know your neighbors and start to care about what happens to some random person in city, then you neighborhood, then your 2-3 block, then your street then right next door... its sad but the ppl who dont see it happening or care enough to change it countinue to exist in it while the ppl who do get fed up and leave. naturally things get worse and worse and worse to where we are today... you start to rationalize and normalize that behavior and your envioirment to a point where you lack the self awarness to even know its gotten so bad.
The majority of males and a few females were quiet angels under the radar angels who help keep us safe. Safe in north America (albeit ignorant of the quiet work under their noses). On occasion, our governments contract teams to other countries that need to 'take care of business) before it hits our shores. If they are killed in a foreign land...families are 'conditioned' to not ask questions. Don't expect a body to be recovered and returned. It's part of military but secret enough at the same time. First time I've been able to say RIP to the silent angels in my family. The other silent angels are the supportive wives/sisters and mothers. Respect dear warrior!!! Warriors all!!
Ahhh one of the dirty secrets in this line of work is they keep working even tho pstd lurks. Many cope using alcohol and/or drugs. The success rate is high too. I've figured out they get stuck if government contracts own their azzes. And some are flat out addicted to adrenaline.

I like this fella. He's doin a really stressfull, dangerous job and hé has to have a thick skin but he's still got feelings for the people hé has to "get" and especially their families. I wish him strength and courage (even more!).

I once told a guy to stop hitting on his girl and he pulled out a gun, waved it around & walked back to his car by himself. His girlfriend ran and jumped in the passenger sit at the speed of light. As he pulled away, he rolled his window down & said "You should mind your f@king business dude." I took his advice while I lived in the U.S
Yeah, it’s sad but your better of not getting involved. For one she ain’t gonna leave him or she wouldn’t be there with him then. Secondly, when other guys get involved it ends up him beating her even worse when they get home. Also, if you end up in a fight with the guy the girl is likely to jump in your back too. Unless it looks like he’s gonna kill her I wouldn’t get involved.
A true man. I think some of these situations are more complicated than we realize, but his take on intervention when you witness crime is heartening for the human race.
"Does your wife know?" Oh my God dude, she knows now I don't blame her for freaking out! But God bless this man, doing what real men are meant to do, protect and provide, not just for our own families but for our entire community.
I’m from Minnesota & I have been waiting for some Midwest interviews on current issues. I know this was Arizona , but Nick really represents the values of the men I was raised with. I’ve worked psych my whole life & really appreciate the empathy in that part of interview. Thank you for sharing.

I can relate to this man so much, what he says, how he acts, how he does things selflessly and some instances carelessly with regards to his own safety. I do not share his profession, but in South Africa, where crime is more prominent than most places in the world, and police can only do so much if anything sometimes. You HAVE to take action into your own hands in some ways in order to prevent something terrible happening. It's not about playing hero; it's about standing up against the wrong in the world. Life is difficult enough as is, so if you can save someone or prevent bad things from happening and you know you are capable, I believe you should do it. Great interview

I was a bounty hunter for almost 15 years, and yes it is exactly what this man says it is. Don't watch any documentaries on discovery channel, go no further than this interview!! This Dude hits all points. I did it as a second job, and most of the time your sitting and surveilling, but when its time for action, you have to be prepared and ready. I had health issues, that forced me out of the game. Its not for the faint of heart, and you have to be in top physical shape. I watch a lot of your interviews, they're always very interesting, and this one was spot on perfect!! Thanks SWU!!

I had a friend who was a bounty hunter for about two months. He was a former Marine who taught empty-hand combat to other marines. He was a dangerous man but super nice. His first capture was a guy he dragged from under a bed and handcuffed to the roll bar in the back of his pickup to take in. He quit after two months. I asked him why and he looked at me with his hard eyes and said " Some of these people do not want me to catch them a lot more than I want to get them and they are crazy dangerous.'

Just a little backstory:
Perspective is often due to the angle at which you are viewing a situation.
Just because you feel a certain way doesn’t mean it’s accurate or that your feelings consider the entirety of that situation.
The guy who was taken to court, using pain compliance, was refusing to go to court and was sitting in his sisters car. She had driven him to court and was begging him to go in. The day prior, his sister and the bondsman had lost $10,000 because of the same situation.
His sister was a single mom, broke, and had signed his bond as the indem to do him favor so that he wouldn’t have to sit in jail. She put up two bonds, each for $10,000 and this was the thanks she received by her brother.
She was blocks away from the courthouse because when she would drive too close, he would start destroying her car. He was in a volatile place and was mistreating someone who loved him (mental illness or not)
So by taking him to court that day we saved her and the bondsman a large amount of money. I wish I had helped her the day before. I wish her brother wasn’t mentally ill. But you can wish in one hand and shit in the other.. you know the saying.
Also, the girl who went to treatment and we picked her up. We got her off the bond she was on with the pervert who had been her bondsman. We took her to jail but had another bondsman lined up for her within 12 hours, she was back out and checked into that treatment facility. Just so you know, we did take care of her and helped her as best we could. We also reported him to the DOI. My team does NOT do recoveries for that bondsman, that was the last day I spoke with him. And I did tell him exactly what I thought about him. 👍 we were not paid for that day because he got his feelings hurt during my conversation with him. No love lost here.
Wanted this to be understood, there are always different views/angles to be seen. Emotions are raw, and they refuse to be reasoned with. It’s not often that our emotions tell the truth.

Listening to your stories at the end reminded me of some of the video I’ve seen in places like New York City subways where a woman is being raped or beaten and it’s unconscionable to me that nobody lifts a finger to help. I am a huge advocate of Jonathan T Gilliams. book Sheep No More: The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival. Everybody that is physically capable to, should be taking self-defense classes but beyond anything a book or class can teach is simply being brave enough to ACT. courage is contagious. Anyways great interview and I admire your mentality on the world.
I never comment but this one seriously got me. Nic is a real man and one of a rare & dying breed. As a 24 year old man, this was interview was inspiring. He’s someone to aspire to be like. Seems like this man takes care of business / the people around him. All the people around him. Throughout the whole interview it seemed like he kept inadvertently going back to his team, his family, strangers. You can tell how important the community is to this guy. Guy just seems like a genuine guardian. After watching this I wanna work out, and make sure I’m the best version of myself, so I can be there for those around me when the time comes. He admitted what most cops refuse to. That sometimes they take things personally, and they either stop themselves from doing something to a person or they don't. That self control separates those who should be in law enforcement and those that should not.
Facts, I’m not upset about cops roughing them up either. People feel bad for psychopaths that wouldn’t piss on you if you’re on fire. Unfortunately, they only understand force. The last story about the man beating the pregnant woman stuck with me.

Great interview with Nic. Nic, is so much like my brother. My brother was not a bounty hunter, but he was just like Nic, when NIcs off of work. My brother was 6ft 5, 280, and his name was Jack. My Dad, called him action Jackson.
When ever he saw a man hitting a woman, he went into action. He had more guts then any man i have ever met. When 911 happened
He was right into action. He took his dump truck, left our state and went to New York to do all he could to help. He stayed on the site helping for 48 hours. Nic, reminded me so much of him also when he said, punks, start calling him Sir. I saw older men call my brother Sir, when he over powered them, always with his hands . We lost him 2 years ago, and their is a great chance, it was do to him helping out in New York. He was exposed to stuff that gave him cancer, like many others exposed there also got. Nic, is a great human being, just like my brother was. God bless Nic.

This is the reason why I got out of corrections/law enforcement. He is spot on with everything he's said with people not taking accountability, no leadership, and the overall downfall of society due to drugs. I knew I had to get out when people we're telling me how negative and angry I was and I never looked back when I left. It's mentally exhausting dealing with people who just don't get it and it's extremely dangerous.

I've made this comment a bunch of times, but must commend you once again for being the best in the biz about letting your interview subjects talk, and not constantly interrupting or rushing them along like 99% of other interviewers. Giving the conversation room to breathe sets a whole different tone, and is much more pleasant to watch.
Minnesota representing! This interview was fascinating! I have been an ER RN for 17 years and a lot of what Nic spoke about, is stuff that we deal with on a daily basis in the ER that I work in. Homelessness, drugs, ETOH, mental illness, violence are ALL things that I see at work everyday. It is often overwhelming, and can feel hopeless and helpless dealing with this issues everyday. Our society is sick, and I fear that it will only get worse. You really need to have a healthy outlet outside of work, or it would be super easy to just lose yourself in that abyss.
Keep up the good work, I bet it's mentally and emotionally draining. Much of society has rebelled against God, and this is what happens, a further falling into an abyss of evil lifestyle before final judgement and damnation to hell. But Jesus is waiting with open arms for people to repent and turn to Him, and we can pray for these people because we can't physically make them change their lives. Seen countless people who have destroyed themselves with alcohol/substance abuse or food in the hospital/nursing homes, and it's also destroying the healthcare system we work in and has made our jobs 10x tougher, especially since 2020.

No one's asking for men to be leaders, no one ever did, that's just something arseholes made up retrospectively to justify their unsolicited actions. wow. i’m speechless. as many of y’all, i’m a HUGE fan of these interviews & find them as a way to decompress from my day. i’m a middle school social worker & im completely flabbergasted on how on point his concepts of life are. his ideas & views are on there not being enough leaders, not enough people taking accountability, and respect are SPOT ON. I often find myself having these conversations with middle schoolers… filming ‘friends’ while they are getting beat up is one concept that constantly blows my mind.. yet this is the new norm. this interview has me thinking beyond what I thought… just love these damn interviews 🙏🏽 thank you for these unexpected interviews that allow us to connect different concepts and aspects of life.

Love this guy! It's nice to see the interviews you've been doing lately that aren't with people that are troubled, but the people that are on the side of dealing with the troubled people. There are a lot of unsung heroes out there that we need to be aware of and appreciate. I think it would be interesting to see interviews with those who work with the mental or drug rehabilitation facilities.
Just because someone isn’t homeless or an addict doesn’t mean they’re not troubled. Lots of people in law enforcement are pretty troubled. Bounty hunters even more so because basically anyone that can pass a background check can become one. Any position that has a low barrier to entry and allows one to run around with a gun fighting and handcuffing people will attracted a lot of people with a certain type of “troubled”.

This is a true man, which is rare in today's society. I'm the kind of person who has very few friends. I could count them on my fingers and have a few left over. That's because I only allow others on my life with the same beliefs and values as I have, and we are unfortunately a dying breed. Thank you for this interview. Maybe it will be a wake up call for someone in the younger generation and they can see what a man is supposed to be.

It's the LACK of masculinity (caused by ppl like you dumbly demonizing masculinity and attempting to feminize men), and the shrinking number of real men/strong father figures who would hold boys responsible for their BS in our society that is the root cause of these issues, not anything wrong with the way men act themselves.

This is the type of guy America needs. The stories he told, about society really hits home. What a man. I have found myself in similar situations but not to that extent. We are doomed as a society if men don’t step up and teach you the youth to be held accountable. You see something, act. It could be your mother, sister or brother. If we don’t start mentoring the youth there will be an evil future. Men stand up! You see someone in need, step up. Our society is in desperate need of leaders. Amen to you and your fellow co-workers. But without opportunity for jobs and help with these poor families the cycle will continue. Did you hear the part in which he lied to the woman to get her out of a treatment center only to deliver her to the bail bondsmen, who was planning to extort her for sex? He nicely deflected his part in trafficking her, but that is what happened.

I did hear him say that he doesn't always love his role in this job, perhaps it was centered around that comment. Bailbondsmen are unregulated, and can be known to be quite cruel, but I was certainly glad he saved that girl from getting murdered. I am sure he's no saint, but he seems to at least have a moral compass, so hopefully his good traits outweigh the bad (honestly that's about all I can hope for in people these days).

As retired LEO , I really felt the story of mentally ill guy, the family taking piggy banks etc , cops , ems , FD , military , now I c bounty hunters etc, I see these incidents as soul injuries , the shootings if their trying to kill u and u win ,your mind can digest it , if someone fights they get hurt , your mind can digest that but things like he described , the innocence that were in wrong place at wrong time , children killed , elderly abused , pets abused , and there’s very little if anything u can do for them , government agencies barely help , that’s the things that scar your soul , those are things that stick with u for life , so ease up on the Cop hate , their only human , have their own problems but they also paid to take the worlds problems on

this society is a very simple generalzation... not saying you feel or mean it in any way but when you compare what you think it should be to your reality or the bad, really bad parts, its not that simple. like take a large city in US say NYC or LA, most ppl say those places are shitholes me included, the general societal culture in those cities has changed over time but today there is soooo many things that are making them spiral out of control especially with the whole society reality of it if you know about it or live there... me i used to live near NYC but now i live in rural south and there is far less crime, ppl are nicer, youd be shocked at how vastly different they are and im glad to be living here because its a world that we naturally crave like the ideals and morals and principles you, me and him are talking about exist here unlike LA or NYC... when you have that large amount of ppl you lose the small town vibe where you know your neighbors and start to care about what happens to some random person in city, then you neighborhood, then your 2-3 block, then your street then right next door... its sad but the ppl who dont see it happening or care enough to change it countinue to exist in it while the ppl who do get fed up and leave. naturally things get worse and worse and worse to where we are today... you start to rationalize and normalize that behavior and your envioirment to a point where you lack the self awarness to even know its gotten so bad.

The majority of males and a few females were quiet angels under the radar angels who help keep us safe. Safe in north America (albeit ignorant of the quiet work under their noses). On occasion, our governments contract teams to other countries that need to 'take care of business) before it hits our shores. If they are killed in a foreign land...families are 'conditioned' to not ask questions. Don't expect a body to be recovered and returned. It's part of military but secret enough at the same time. First time I've been able to say RIP to the silent angels in my family. The other silent angels are the supportive wives/sisters and mothers. Respect dear warrior!!! Warriors all!!
Ahhh one of the dirty secrets in this line of work is they keep working even tho pstd lurks. Many cope using alcohol and/or drugs. The success rate is high too. I've figured out they get stuck if government contracts own their azzes. And some are flat out addicted to adrenaline.

I like this fella. He's doin a really stressfull, dangerous job and hé has to have a thick skin but he's still got feelings for the people hé has to "get" and especially their families. I wish him strength and courage (even more!).

Nic, you have a way with words. I could listen to your stories all day. Thank you for risking your life each day to keep others safe. You are one of the few good ones left, don’t let society taint your integrity. Not many men like you left in the world. If only the world was still based on old fashioned values. You said one thing that really resonated with me: “Not many people in society today take responsibility for their actions.” That is one of the truest statements I have heard in a long time.

I once told a guy to stop hitting on his girl and he pulled out a gun, waved it around & walked back to his car by himself. His girlfriend ran and jumped in the passenger sit at the speed of light. As he pulled away, he rolled his window down & said "You should mind your f@king business dude." I took his advice while I lived in the U.S
Yeah, it’s sad but your better of not getting involved. For one she ain’t gonna leave him or she wouldn’t be there with him then. Secondly, when other guys get involved it ends up him beating her even worse when they get home. Also, if you end up in a fight with the guy the girl is likely to jump in your back too. Unless it looks like he’s gonna kill her I wouldn’t get involved.
A true man. I think some of these situations are more complicated than we realize, but his take on intervention when you witness crime is heartening for the human race.

I’m from Minnesota & I have been waiting for some Midwest interviews on current issues. I know this was Arizona , but Nick really represents the values of the men I was raised with. I’ve worked psych my whole life & really appreciate the empathy in that part of interview. Thank you for sharing.

First Bounty Hunter interview that I have seen. To hear the other side is important and interesting. Got to be a much harder job then Nic is sharing. Thank you Nic for sharing your story.
I can relate to this man so much, what he says, how he acts, how he does things selflessly and some instances carelessly with regards to his own safety. I do not share his profession, but in South Africa, where crime is more prominent than most places in the world, and police can only do so much if anything sometimes. You HAVE to take action into your own hands in some ways in order to prevent something terrible happening. It's not about playing hero; it's about standing up against the wrong in the world. Life is difficult enough as is, so if you can save someone or prevent bad things from happening and you know you are capable, I believe you should do it.

I was a bounty hunter for almost 15 years, and yes it is exactly what this man says it is. Don't watch any documentaries on discovery channel, go no further than this interview!! This Dude hits all points. I did it as a second job, and most of the time your sitting and surveilling, but when its time for action, you have to be prepared and ready. I had health issues, that forced me out of the game. Its not for the faint of heart, and you have to be in top physical shape. I watch a lot of your interviews, they're always very interesting, and this one was spot on perfect!! Thanks SWU!!
Reminds me of a friend who was way too cocky when we were in college, but this guy is the grown up humbled version. Though we can all be a bit more humble
