    To all the JRE listeners, do you notice how when Joe interviews bushmen, hunters, outdoorsmen, there is a quiet respect? It seems like the ability to be out in the woods alone instills a confidence that one cannot argue with. I've noticed this listening to guys like Glen Villeneuve, Steven Rinella, Cam Haines, Les Stroud. It is really interesting

    • @HouseOfPetrol
      @HouseOfPetrol 4 года назад +6

      Thats because we outdoors people have a common respect for nature , it's a kind of "stillness" inside ... hard 2 explain... you have to be an openminded, calm, preserved, kind , loving human being.
      Cause being outdoors for a long time in the woods alone you have to become one with nature, and once that bond is established , your psyche and personality changes... and every experienced outdoorsman make that transition, and it is felt between these kind of people, thats why we all have respect for each other , even when just meeting or seeing for the first time !
      Really crazy and hard 2 explain , this may have sounded like a hippy kind of explanation, but thats the best way i could explain it lol 😅

      People get way too worried about the dangers wolves present to a human, at least in North America. Every wolf I've ever seen has been running away from me as fast as it could run. We are the apex predator.
      Glen made it very clear in his retelling of the story about his wolf incident that what he experienced was literally unheard of. And it is. In the entire modern history of North America there's been two incidents of wolves killing humans that I'm aware of.
      Now, Europe and Russia? Different story. The wolves over there are super dangerous to humans.

    Wolves coming after people is NOT an unusual occurrence. Wolves used to be in massive packs and would hunt humans, it is only seen as unusual now because the wolfs can’t compete with rifles and have much less range and numbers due to humans. Thats why wolves were always seen as a serious predator by our ancestors. Great story and great guest Rogan!
